Live chat roleplays now give an extra 50% RPP if they are posted from the transcript to forum system that was created this week. This is to encourage people to try their hand at live location-based roleplay and this will hopefully result in more people hanging out in public locations in the hopes of getting involved in some spontaneous roleplay stories.

All Labyrinth NPCs now give 10 extra XP. Poison traps in the labyrinth have also been replaced with spike traps.
When the labyrinth next respawns, lower level NPCs will be skipped entirely from floor 1.

The sorcerer power, Lightning Bolt has been adjusted to make it less overpowered. It now costs 2 anima per use in NPC battles / battles to the death, and does ever so slightly less dexterity damage. When used in a skirmish situation, the power remains unchanged.

The Labyrinth has been reset for the first time this month. It also starts a little harder right from floor 1, making the experience gain roughly 10 floors in front of the original averages.

Human-only raids have been disabled, as humans are now able to hold their own sufficiently, and will still be able to join vampire raids.

I've slightly optimised the NPC battle code, which has made it a touch faster when getting the full results, and about a second faster when in quick results mode. It's still a bit on the laggy side, but quick results now loads in about double the time of a movement, whereas before it was closer to 3 or 4 times.

Another couple of small updates today:
The character creation page has been switched to the mobile version, and there is no longer a flash version. This character creation page will be spruced up and made prettier in time, but it will remain fairly simple, without animations and so on. This change was because Flash is being phased out by a lot of browsers, and runs quite slowly on some devices.
Also, a loading circle was added to the grid. It displays when you move, fight, feed, etc, and shows you that the game is trying to connect to the servers.

Labyrinth XP has been increased by 10 per enemy to make it more worthwhile.
Tomb raiding loot has been improved slightly to make better swords more likely to appear on lower levels.

Blood fountains have been added into the Labyrinth Temple floors. There is one every few floor.

NPC images have been replaced with a sketch aesthetic, in order to keep the look consistent across all enemies, and to fix the issue with some of the NPC models being fairly poor compared to the others. We also feel this fits better with a kind of adventure storybook feel.
