I'm not sure this has been asked yet. I read a similar question, and I could be missing something, but this pertains to Inspiring.

I know we get the grid message, but how does it translate to rp? How does the character know who inspired him or her? Is it a signature essence, or is it a telepathic idea?

Okay so with these new cool RP curses :D

Nyla is an allurist, who now has permanent fangs. Would her reflection show this new change? Because that would look hideously awesome >.> A fanged corpse is even creepier than a regular one.

Aly: though this is entirely unrelated
Aly: would chloroform work on a path-canon vampire? >.>
Lia: I don't think so
Aly: it was a random thought while watching a music video
Lia: Since they a) don't need to breathe and b) drugs don't work on them unless they're in the bloodstream of a human they're feeding on
Lia: >.>
Aly: I know it takes a lot to put one under
Aly: hmmm...
Aly: so...if they fed on someone who'd just OD'd, and was in the process of having a reaction...and that person had done enough to die...
Aly: what would happen since it's in the bloodstream? >.>
Lia: Well, I actually don't know if that's canon or not, I'm just guessing
Lia: I would THINK it would have an effect because... O.o Vamps ingest the blood...
Lia: They would probably just have to drink a LOT of the blood to get any effect?
Lia: It'd be worth asking about in canon questions >.>
So, here I be, asking about it. What would it take to knock out a vampire, and, if one were to ingest the blood of a human cracked out, what would it do (if anything)? Lord knows, there's enough meth walking around.

chloroform won't do it, it would take too much. Massive amounts of drugs would be needed to keep a vampire out. Serenity had Alex on an IV drip of a huge mix of drugs when she kept her captive to force her to go to term with the fadebeast.

Based on what David stated (but don't feel like digging/searching for):
  • In the bloodstream (as in feeding on someone who had been doing drugs or drinking) doesn't apply to vampires as it doesn't pass on to them.
  • Drugs will work but it takes more (a high dosages) to work. Even if it does work, it will wear off a lot faster than it would with a human (like 3-4 times faster). So yes if the vampire for some reason kept breathing, it could work but it wouldn't work the same as it would with a human -- be a very weak attempt.
Hope that helps.

When a vampire drinks the blood of a person who is under the effects of a perception altering substance (drugs, alcohol, etc...) does that vampire also experience the effects of whatever substance the human has imbibed?

As I understand it, the answer is no, but I would like a some sort of confirmation >.>

I'm going to leave that to player choice. Drugs and alcohol do work on vampires, but the effects wear off much more quickly. So drinking blood that has traces of those things in it might do something.

So player choice. They -can- get contact highs through the blood, or be doped directly.

In the case of chloroform, you should actually have no problems with the doping as chloroform is extremely potent. If the vampire is in the habit of breathing for appearances, odds are likely they could inhale a lethal dose for humans quite quickly (2-3 minutes) especially if they struggle/scream when grabbed. Once the vampire is unconscious, keeping them asleep would be as easy as introducing the chloroform intravenously. (as even very tiny doses of the drug introduced this way would be enough to kill a person)

So yeah... probably on a CIA watch list now for researching chloroform and killing people with it... but knowledge is power?

Yeah that's most likely his recent answer heh. Seeing as what I was going on and had been was before this thread ever came to be (didn't even think to look in this thread because of it).
