I'm so glad you like it, thank you. Her hair doesn't look half bad considering I had to draw it back in on the left.
Chaos can be beautiful! Sometimes. Until it's staring me in the face and I'm like :| I honestly didn't even notice that it had to be drawn in, though, it looks fantastic. Thank you so much again.

It's so good to feel inspired again! In more ways than just writing. Getting my feet wet in writing and photoshop has me nervous, but it's exciting. I made a little banner. I need to practice doing avatars, though. Those are so much harder in my opinion?
I love how simple it is, color wise, and that it draws my attention to Augustine's face. I usually just crop my avatars from the banner because I'm lazy and after putting so much effort into the other piece or fighting with the font I'm just like, "Eh." I'm glad to see you back, though!

Love it even more on the computer!

What I've found to be helpful when doing avatars (especially with Path because of the avatar size) is to focus more on full body or the "full body" idea of the character. You're really good with color matching, so that shouldn't be a problem for you either!

For an example of what I'm talking about, I made these for someone with a succubus character:

The colors don't match up, because hello kryptonite, but the idea and feeling of the character goes to both and you show off two different perspectives and distances. Different sides of the character. Does that make sense or does it look more like I'm trying to jerk myself off? .-.

Lmfao, no that makes perfect sense! That completely answers the questions I had. I guess my go-to has been to just reuse the same textures I did for the banner, with maybe some a little more, and make sure to color match and there you go. Happy days. Maybe add the name there instead of the banner?

But I guess avatars are as much canvas as the banner is.

QFT! It can be creatively exhausting to try and make something new from something you just spent so much time on. Totally feel that.

I find the easiest way is to build them both at the same time either by sizing the canvas at 650 x 300 or 500 x 300 and cropping out the avatar and banner at the end.

You guys are wonderfully talented. I love your work. <3

I tend to build my avatars and signatures simultaneously using the same textures and colours. I rarely have the model in both the avatar and signature.

Yes!

YOUR work is amazing!

On the avatars, I like the idea of not having the model in the avatar and having something representative or whatever flows--maybe weeds for a Necromancer or someone with Weed Walker, for example. I'm doing it a lot more frequently now in my graphics because of avatars being the only visual that sticks throughout the whole forum. (Because you lose the banner for a lot of IC sections.) Which, while I'm on the topic, are the avatars seen via the characters? On CrowNet, I mean.

Nope, avatars and signatures are ooc only. The IC part on Crownet is the handle piece. For example, Every’s is Bandit.

I did it. I made an avatar to match! It's weird, but I think I like it. I think.
