Disregard then. You're shifting the focus to gamers when the whole discussion is simplified to the bug and the fact that we want EVERYONE to have a chance. I'm new to this. As a newbie, give me time to learn the ropes instead of jumping. If newbies don't get chances because people want to hoard, and it is hoarding, then that's not going to get people to stick around. That's what matters. The game is dying. We're all smart enough to see this. Point blank, I'm not having my chara magically know yours enough to trust them to have his/her back and personally, I want that IC relationship. I thought this was supposed to have a RP focus. Otherwise there's no point in me writing. I don't want to be a gamer. I don't want to hop into a group where I'm in because i was invited in and not my chara. I shouldn't be forced into that position just to get a chance. If this bug isn't addressed and fixed, I'll just sit back and let the same people win over and over. I prefer RPing.

I addressed what I wanted to address. If anyone would like to debate some more, hmu. I'm on discord and accept messages here. Cheers! :)
I am not shifting anything i am addressing a post that was made that said flat out that planning what you do in a team raid OOCLY was Crossing....

Now if you want to argue all that other stuff go ahead. But i have a right to my 2 cents just like anyone else here does ...

Strict gamers are never in character, so they have nothing to do with the conversation at hand. They have no regards of mixing IC with OOC (i.e. crossing) due to their choice made upon creation. They are a completely separate subculture as they have to weave around the rules of roleplay to enhance their own enjoyment.

Quoted from the gamer option on grid, seen here:
Choose this option if you're not interested in roleplaying as your character, and wish to be largely ignored by characters who do.
Roleplayers, on the other hand, have in character actions and should have no out of character motivation to further game play and highlight experience. Characters should be the ones reaching out and making the connections to do team raids, not players.

Gearing this back on track to how to remedy the issue,

I propose that the cap on winning be reinstated.

I suggest the cap to be every other raid.

This way, whether raids spawn twice or four times a month, there will always be a chance at winning the active raid if you didn't win the previous one. This levels the playing field by putting a constraint on everyone's gameplay that is based on wins not on participation.

Everyone gets a chance to join any team raid with whatever character they want, but only those who actually win the active raid will lose the right to win the next raid. This way everyone can participate, whether they have won previously or not with that character: they can still get a run through / experience / participation points, but it isn't the same characters winning over and over.
This suggestion still enables players of all backgrounds still to move forward and play in team raids. It also provides a sense of creativity, and encouragement to develop new bonds, so that others can still play and learn the ropes of the team raids if someone isn’t interested in the win. Older characters won’t have to sit around on their hands, and it allows for others to still try for a win with familiar faces.

I'm for it.

There really isn't any need to be a divide between gamers and role players. We are all here to enjoy PoV and there aren't that many of us left anymore. I'm not about to start singing kumbaya but I'd like to see a little less grrr and a little more tolerance if that's not too impossible to ask.

I'm stepping back from team raids until this is sorted and giving others the chance that they are wanting, I'm not psychic or I'd have done it sooner. Whether you are a gamer or a roleplayer, you play a game to enjoy yourself not stress out. So go out and have fun! And if you do roleplay the team raids I would enjoy reading them!

Ok but im not going to sit around forever and wait for someone to win a raid ive had Mortll do them on her own before because they sat around for 3 or more months. Quite frankly I think everyone is yelling a bit prematurely on the whole thing Especially seeing how vacant they have been

Given the renewed interest, I'm sure David will either fix the original issue or add the newest cap suggestion. Which I also think is a good idea, btw.
