It only ever seems to happen to me when I use smilies (almost always) or BBcode (sometimes). But yeah it's driving me nuts that it's happening to people for no reason all the time.

is it possible that this happens when the recipient is online at the time? I am pretty sure each time I've gotten this... they have been.

I don't think it's that, but it has to be something that only happens some of the time. So my guess is one of the RP systems, such as loot or random events, is somehow playing havoc on the PMs.
Can anyone think of a RP system that rolls positive with the frequency that is comparable to the frequency that this bug appears? Loot is my best guess right now, but I'm checking the code and I can't see how it would be doing anything on PMs.
ETA: I made a change and I wonder if that fixed it? Hard to test.

just had this happen to me again, just once tho. Next try it worked just fine.

Could I ask that everyone reading this makes a mental note of how many PMs they are able to send before this error message comes up? If I can start to get an idea of the average, I can probably nail down the culprit modification.
