Demi-Fae: Dullahan, maybe.
Name: Hallowed Ground

Description: A protective barrier that only spans so far (five feet?) protecting the caster. If someone were to step in it, they would be plagued with something similar to waking nightmare, dropping their defenses and weakening them until they stepped out or the barrier ended. The description of the hallowed ground would be up to the writer, but it could resemble something similar to a deserted burial ground; bleak colors and a dark, ominous fog.

[This could potentially go in RP - Cannon]

So Josh and I discussed how Attunement could assist in helping a human to resist the infections of the wendigo virus, but is there an option to recycle some obsolete spell (flesh gift comes to mind) for purging/inoculation once fully contagious.

I'm personally a fan of costs with rituals, especially RP ones...so here's a couple ideas.
Ritual of The Peacemaker

Demifae: ?

Description: Perform a ritual which causes the target to wish to make peace or quells emotional turmoil. Much like the calming presence of an empath, this ritual dampens high emotions allowing clearer heads to prevail. Must get permission from the writer of the target character. The person casting the ritual loses physical strength or prowess while the ritual is in effect.
Ritual of Discernment

Demifae: ?

Description: Perform a ritual which causes the target to be able to discern truth and fact from fiction or falsehoods. The cost of such discernment would be the caster will be significantly less charismatic than normal, they may not be able to convince others that what they know as truth is in fact truth despite knowing for themselves.

I'm going to think of some for the Salamander because Jesse here is my main ritualist and has a 'Fae Friend' called Mandy. Who's a fire spirit, and sits in the form of a Salamander on his shoulder. XD

Demifae: Salamander
Name: Phoenix Rising
Ritual: A ritual to bring small creatures/animals back from the dead. Would it be OP to say it works on humans, too? Could work for those who 'kill' their human characters rather than delete them. Perhaps even to bring back deleted characters that were presumed dead? If OP, assume that humans are too large a target/the fae would not agree to it. The ritual would burn the corpse/bones and reduce them to ash, so that the creature could rise from said ash.

Demifae: Salamander
Name: Spontaneous Combustion
Ritual: Cause an NPC target to spontanously combust; works on PCs only with dice rolls and/or permission.

Demifae: Salamander
Name: Unbreakable Vow
Ritual: Like metal forged in flame, crafted with such skill as to be unbreakable, so too can a vow be forged. When this ritual is cast and a vow spoken, it becomes unbreakable. Consequences await those who try.

And some dealing with Salamanders themselves:

Demifae: Salamander
Name: Heat Resist
Ritual: In medieval lore, due to the way Salamanders slithered out from bits of wood when lit on fire, some believed they were highly resistant to heat. This ritual would last twenty-four hours and could make the user able to walk through fire, or resist the burn of sunlight.

Demifae: Salamander
Ritual: Secrete Poison
Ritual: This ritual allows the caster to open up their (possibly dead) sweat glands; instead of sweat, however, they secrete poison, which if touched can cause convulsions, hypertension, and/or hyperventilation.

Demifae: Salamander
Ritual: Bend Reality
Ritual: Salamanders are thought to have created the landscape of reality. This ritual, if cast, can twist reality to the caster's will for a short period of time, or distort reality if cast at a target. (For example, making it seem as if there's no one in the ritual room, though reality has been distorted to make them look invisible).

Wow come to read this because I thought it would be something usefull update on actual rituals... This seems like a slant against people who play Gypsys Witches and Voodoo related characters to limit them and their role play …

Im not fond of the idea at all …. that's what the dice roller was for to see if a ritual or a feat was possible now we have you saying here that there is only your type of magic possible in this world It kind of sucks balls

Voodoo, witch etc characters can still practice certain rituals and practices the way they would in the real world. If I'm remembering correctly, there's even a human RP power for that - being able to do non-demifae related rituals to small effect.

The only rituals which have ever been really effective in the sense that they can do major things have always been the demi-fae rituals though; it's always been like that, so the variety of characters you mentioned are no more inconvenienced now than they've ever been.

Really all RP rituals do is increase the amount that a spellcaster/ritualist type character can do in writing, which is a good thing. It's not restrictive - it does the opposite.
