For a small amount of time, Yasu had enjoyed nursing a drink and speaking with a couple of the woman present. Now, however, he decided to slip away, enjoying more of the evening presented. There was certainly more to the event than simply the bids, though they were certainly the main attraction. The games drew his interest, and he began to pass the stalls and setups in a leisurely pace. Though a small part of him concerned over the state of his books back at the stage, he placed his faith in the security present that they would find no harm during their stay.

There were many a strange face here, but it wasn’t often he mingled with the townsfolk. It was no wonder he knew so few, if any at all, but many seemed to know one another. Ever since the announcement, he couldn’t help the constant wondering in his mind. Which ones were vampires? Ordinary humans? How many were much like himself, standing in a middle lane. Each face held a story, and he found himself amused trying to puzzle out the details of each one before turning back to the other forms of amusement.

Toying with the ring on his finger (and amused further by the trace of fae present within it), he spied a man making swift work of a number of the setups. Not alone either, it wasn’t hard to see the ethereal look to the woman that accompanied him. The two looked so much more pleasant together than his own ‘partner’ did, and he eyed the man and his ghostly companion for a long moment before turning his gaze. A set of magicians instead caught his eye, making him think whimsically back on another magician he’d once crossed paths with, and the card he still kept on him like a token of luck. He wondered just what that man was up to these days…

A game caught his eye, the knock down challenging the skills of his throwing arm… of which he had none. Still, it seemed like an amusing way to spend a bit of time, and so he approached, placing some money on the table. Handed the set of balls, he tested their weight before slipping on his glasses and turning his gaze to the target. Right, this wouldn’t be so hard. He had a fair bit of strength and balance from his training, so how difficult could a ball and a couple of cups be-

The ball bounced off the back wall, and he felt a flicker of embarrassment in response to his spectres mocking laughter. Frowning slightly, he rolled up his sleeves, picking up another ball. That was fine. All he had to do was throw a little harder, and adjust the angle. Cocking back his arm, he turned his stance a little, and flung.. right against the back wall once more. Yasu frowned further, picking up the last ball as the ghostly figure lost its mind with laughter. “Shut yer gob,” he snapped under his breath, losing his temper a slight bit. The man really had a knack for getting under his skin at times.

Alright. This time. Just twist to the side. Lower his weight. Bring back his arm. Test the distance. Follow through. He held out his other hand, his pose perfectly balanced, ready for victory. One foot ghosted the floor, the posture well timed. Like a drawn blade flung, his throw would be true. He extended the limb, full expectations of victory going with the simple white ball as it arched right for the center…

One cup fell to the ground, and the rest remained standing. Yasu’s shoulders hung, face burning with mild humiliation as he accepted the tiny keychain shaped like a small top hat. He sighed, staring at it, and doing his best to ignore the man currently mimicking and cackling at his side for his eyes alone. Pulling out the somewhat outdated flip phone, he attached it to the device with a small huff under his breath. “Well, at least I hit somethin’,” he muttered back. At least that seemed to shut the ghost up, who now glared daggers at the Irish mans back as they continued on.

One moment became two as the red-head stood trying to partially regain what little inner balance she had left. Her eyes remained closed; her quiet breathing only slightly soothing her nerves. It wasn't going to work, not completely; she had known that when she had fled down here. She needed something more.

Crossed arms upon the balcony supported her as she sank into a squat, forehead rested against the cool material. The foreign words in her mind brought her out of her thoughts. There was no surprise that someone had noticed her missing; she had just expected it to be Amara. She sighed softly, before replying. Just needed a moment. Or two or three, she silently added to herself. Harder than it looks.

Adenis chilling and relaxing in the particular chair that he had chosen being that he didn't really know anybody and he deftly wasn't a socialite. Figured he would wait and see what was going to happen at some point he was pretty sure that he would be asked to come up on stage. When he originally came in to fill out his card he had one of the staff members and he told him that he could get what he needed a performance. He gave the man that was willing to do the work for him extra cash that he had asked for by good to her $300 to make sure everything was good and the man was compensated for his time.

The staff member walked up and gave him the thumbs up. "I appreciate it hopefully that wasn't too complicated"Aden responded. The staff member nodded back" Wasn't really a problem let me know if you ever need anything else." Aden gave him a soft smirk" Hopefully the ladies like it. Just give me a thumbs up from the back when everything set up. The staff member nodded " Will do, that is all I have other things I need to attend to". Aden nodded.

Then the staff member slowly disappeared into the crowd of people.

Dhara wrote: Walking in, she saw she wasn't the first to arrive, that was a relief. Smiling at the other woman there, she tucked a lock of electric sky blue hair behind her ear. Curiosity had her going over to Aviana, admiring the swords and jewelry. She, herself, wasn't much of a crafts woman. "You made these?" She asked, then chuckled to herself, "Of course you did. That was a stupid question. Your work is exquisite."
The question followed by the compliment, had Avi give a small bow of her head in thanks. “Love the blue.” She added, before the woman headed off to her own platform. Avi allowed her attention to linger, as the other vampire set her stage. Tonight is sure to be interesting. Avi thought, guessing the woman to possess quite the talent. Moving back to her case, the envelope would be tucked away for safe keeping. Lingering, she dug out one of the trick daggers she had crafted. Avi would often fidget with the metal. The steel perfectly polished and its handle held a single sapphire stone. Her skills had improved with such, as in she didn’t cut herself as often. The dagger moved easily around her fingers, from hand to hand.

You are stalling, Aviana. The sweet voice of the wraith that haunted her, in thought, left Avi frozen a moment; causing the dagger to slip from her hands. Finding her voice, Avi was quick to reply. ”You are not to speak. That was part of our deal” Avis tone hushed. She held no desire to be caught talking to herself. Moving away from the case, she stood near her jewelry table awhile. Having retrieved her dagger, she stood mindlessly twirling the steel. People watching, she caught sight of a couple familiar faces. Later she hoped to catch them, to offer a hello.

Amusement alley continued to catch her eye. After a time, Avi would step away a brief moment to explore the games. Admiring the decor further, before the strength striker game would catch her eye.

A small etched its way upon her lips before being pressed aside as she smiled towards Aviana, glad to see the other out and about. It'd been a while since she'd seen her, but the sight was welcomed."First time out in a public event since everything, for you, as well, I'm assuming?" The response was gentle, curious. The shadow scanned the faces of the crowd once more as she made her way over to the swords that the woman had created.

"Beautiful craftsmanship as always, Avi." She complimented.

Drumming her fingertips against her skirt, her nails scraping the fabric lightly, Every turned her attention towards the unknown male that had been bidding on Amalea. Her curiosity was minor, more about the unknown factor, than to consider him a major concern. Her attention drifted to the hostess for the evening once more, debating silently as she eyed the massive wall of muscle behind her.

At the gentle question, despite being alone, her head raised from its blessedly cool resting place. She couldn't help but chuckle; it wasn't the reason she was currently down here but it was a fair question. It also served as a reminder that she needed to be on the main floor, not down here. With a sigh, she pushed herself into an upright position. It is. I mean... I venture out of my apartment, but this is the first crowd I've been in since.

Her red tresses swayed lightly as she headed for the powder room. A cool splash of water sounded divine and did hit the spot in several ways. After a quick check of her appearance in the mirror, she leaned forward against the counter. I bid on Mortll. The admission was quiet, soft.

A final deep breath was taken before she made a final check in the mirror. Satisfied, she ventured back up the stairs to rejoin the auction. Weaving through the crowd, she went to place her bid.

Amaranthia noticed her dear friend take her exit, and whispered softly the woman "Take your time. You know how to reach me should you need..." She would give her the space she needed. It was a very stressful night, and the woman had already done so much. Amaranthia was proud of her, she needed to tell her so but wouldn't interrupt at the moment.

Taking a piece of stationary from her office in careful practiced calligraphy she wrote the message inside, and folded it writing only "Amalea" on the outside visible side.

"I'm proud of you."

Amara's quietly whispered words from earlier played in her mind as she went from the booth she was bidding at to the bar. The allurist had already done much for her ever since she had answered that employment ad so many years ago. The red-head had much for which to be grateful even before the current city situation. Someday, she'd find a suitable way to repay it all.

A few quiet words with Moira later found her presented a fresh glass of water along with a note. Curious, the blood-thief flipped it over to reveal what she recognized as Amara's elegant script. Many days she could only wish that her writing was at least legible, never mind being as artistic as the woman seemed to make it.

Sliding to end of the bar, out of the way of other patrons that wished to acquire their own drinks, Amalea unfolded the paper. The actual note consisted of a simple four word phrase. The red-head could feel the moisture gathering in her eyes at the sentiment. A small smile tugged at her lips as she slipped away from the bar with her glass and note. It was as if the allurist had known what she had needed at that moment.

Thank you. She lightly touched Amara's mind as she ducked into the office long enough to stow the note with her belongings. As her feet touched the main floor, she reached out to the allurist once again, her role of blood doll coming into play. Can I get you or Mordechai a drink? Perhaps something fresh?

The allurist's eyes gleamed as she heard those last words from Amalea, it had been so very long. And it would be quite the treat. The woman couldn't fight the grin that thoughts elicited, and she reached out to Mordechai.

"Meet me at our booth...I have a surprise for you."

Making her way to the woman, she lovingly brushed her fingertips down the human's shoulder. "Are you sure?" The words were whispered, no one else would be able to hear them, but she had to be absolutely certain this was something Amalea wanted. It had been quite some time, and the woman wasn't where she originally had been when the first arrangements had been made. It had been a few years, but it felt like much longer with all that had occurred in their lives, since Amalea had walked through that door with her application to be a blood doll. Little did Amaranthia know at that time that the woman would be the only one she trusted to take care of managing The Necropolis when she was out of commission herself, or the deep bond that would grow between the two. She'd simply really wanted to find a safe way to feed, for her and for those like her as she tried to rebuild vampirekind.

The red-head was a bit surprised to have Amara approach her in person rather than reply telepathically. She couldn't help but smile at the light touch on her shoulder. "It is," she whispered back, nodding happily. "It's been too long..." And it had been, many years in fact.

When she had started at the Necropolis she had had little idea of what the entirety of her duties would entail though she quickly learned. Initially, the idea had been frightening; until the first time. Then she discovered that how pleasant the experience was and how right it felt to her.

She had stayed here, at the club, for years though that had never been her original plan. Leaving, though, had been the last thing on her mind after a few short months. Amara was a wonderful friend and boss; and the job was perfectly suited to her. She had thrived here and being here tonight reminded her of that.
