No. true. It does help the human populace tho who currently have no advertised ritualists anywhere.
Unlike, say Alexandrea or Zodiac...who are known for vampires.

Re: Aeryn question
Is there really a point having Fact or Fiction now that everyone knows? Can't it be changed to something else like a community board for all to use?
Thanks for the offer for doing it for me but I managed to do it on the first try ^^ yay
You completed the ritual! You will need to go to the bloodline creation page to complete the process. You gained 70 EXP.
Kira is a ritualist but no one comes to her lol unless it's for a team raid sometimes.

Re: Aeryn question
I honestly never understood why there wasn't just a general Harper Rock Community board for all citizens, or general boards based on interests (like those you see on tripadvisor or apple or ea games). If it was a physical thing (like telekinesis people accessing mentally with no IP or however the internet works), I could understand the distinction. But there's no way someone could tell the person using the computer / phone is vampire or human, just like I can't tell what hair colour or nationality anyone here is unless we make boards for brunettes, blondes, redheads, yanks, brits, etc.
As for ritualist... I now see little point for my ritualists? Like, stating them requires specialisation that doesn't carry over unless you want to do business or hacking, which would require a whole other set of stats. And I'd like to see more things on the auction; it's so rare for there to be variety (I look for all types of things for traps and rituals and seldom find), and it sounds like people have plenty to sell. Aeryn seems superfluous considering characters can stat in rituals and acquire the ingredients.

Re: Aeryn question
I really don’t think it takes away from B&E characters nor ritualists. There are still some rituals that Aeryn can’t do, and in all honesty I really doubt any but a handful of them will ever pay 300x the original price? Only one of mine did and it took me several months to even get the items because no one helped the character until I actually had to ask people in chats. There’s also the fact you really can hardly find anything in the auction - if you have thousands to spend on the rituals, it’s great.
B&E characters are still needed for traps and other crafting items, the harder rituals such as tome bound which Aeryn can’t do and even simple things where you uninvite people from your places. Just my .02, though.

Have to agree with Charlie player too.
Honestly, once you have tomes made, ritualistic characters sorta are....blah. you can revoke characters from your places with karma now, so that ritual is pointless imo.
I mean.. who really rituals every day?
Most people get tomes then restat from anything other then a ritualist. Honestly, fighting is always where is been in path.

Re: Aeryn question
I'd never change Jesse from being a ritualist.
Because Path is mostly about the RP these days, right? Or should be. It's ingrained into his character. He's a ritualist, it's a nuance that is part of who he is, and who he will always be. Whether or not he uses rituals daily on grid doesn't faze me. I use it often enough in roleplay for it to be justified.

"Most" not all. I've known quite a few who have done that. I refuse to put anymore into rits simply because the demand for ritual type characters suck. For a long while.

Re: Aeryn question
Honestly, if nobody is playing a ritualist anymore, then that's a problem partly caused by the existence of the NPC ritualist. So her prices need to be increased even further, to make it so that PC ritualists are needed again.
She was always supposed to exist as an alternative for lone wolf players, not as a way to replace ritualists entirely. As such, her rituals really should be as expensive as hell.
The same goes for thieves, really. If people feel like nobody wants to buy their ingredients anymore, then that means Aeryn is being used TOO much still, so putting the prices up means PC ritualists become needed again, which means so does B&E, which means so does the auction.

Let me know if that improves for you over the next month. If not, we'll have to increase the NPC ritualist prices some more.Mortll wrote:Well to be honest I play a Ritualist that most people Know is a Ritualist ....
