Just so people know, I poked David about this for us to discuss a bit on the topic of human regeneration of limbs.
However, I can answer a few things here.
First, wraiths shouldn't be able to receive physical wounds. That is (or should be) a bug.
As far as groin shots go in general, groin shots refer to any wound sustained to the area between the abdomen and thighs. It would be up to the wounded party to determine exactly where that lands. It's no different to deciding if a chest wound goes through the lungs or not.
If some of those wounds were bugs, it also wouldn't be fair to make players write permanent, life changing roleplay based on that, since bugs are inherently OOC.
Besides which, what happens in writing does not always parallel what happens on grid. For example, a person who gets their throat cut 20 times would realistically probably have a Nearly Headless Nick situation going on. A human couldn't regenerate their head if it was lost, so it would be at the player's discretion as to how they ended up playing that, such as permanent character death, or just a really really bad throat wound.
After I've discussed with David a bit about regeneration, I'll post to the canon thread with that response. <3!
