Mordechai's chuckle rumbled from deep in his chest, "Aye between all of you, you can teach her to be a good little worker ant, incapable of surviving on her own, but a fine cog in your machine." Releasing the girl with one arm he rolled her to his side as he once more infused another unit of blood into her, keeping her alive for a little longer. He could feel the exotic scent of her blood caressing his olfactory nerves as it drained slowly from her. "And you of all people should know that my size is what it is, but it is my skills that I use" Looking down over the human he shook his head as she beat against him. He could see the fire in her eyes, symbolic of a deeper strength. Twas a pity the killer refused to sire, this one might be worth the headaches. Raising his head once more he locked eyes with the shadow. "Even now, if I were one to gamble recklessly, I would bet the hand in your pocket is searching out a speed dial, because what you face is more than you can handle" Extending his arm out he dangled the female between them, her feet an easy yard above the pavement. Blood continued to drip slowly from her wound as he gave her a light shake. "Even a little human girl seems to have given you a tough time tonight. Are you sure you want one so spirited? She will likely soon be strong enough put you in your place herself"

Blake gave a soft sigh as he listened to the larger man berate him, such harsh and toxic words that seemed to be filled with hatred or some sort of despise for seemingly everything Blake stood for and represented. Alas, it was only to be expected from one that only had brute strength to rely upon to fix their issues. Little more than a school yard bully was all petty Mordechai was turning out to be. And to think, his wife actually thought highly of this man. Why she did so Blake would never know, perhaps some day he'd get a chance to ask her. If she ever came back...
"Mord. Let me make this perfectly clear. You may be bigger, stronger and faster than me but I've already put you in your place once. The reason I'm tempted to summon Velveteen is to prevent me from doing something incredibly stupid and letting my chosen progeny bleed out here in the middle of the street."
Looking down to the ground Blake mentally counted to five before he looked back up at the larger man.
"I could kill her, go home and move on with my life and not even have a second thought about it really...or you can butt out of business that isn't yours ad leave me to my life and I'll leave you to yours and not come hunting you down....again either alone or with others. It makes no difference to me. The question you really need to ask, is all this posturing worth potentially dying over?"

The killer mused silently to himself, it seemed even the 'turning' could not cure a severe dose of Napoleon Complex. It continued to amaze him how short sighted so many were. So many equated size as the inverse of intelligence, as if being a runt, made them somehow smarter than others. He had been surprised when Phoenix has announced her wedding. In her case brains did come in a tiny package, and the two had often talked, spared and discussed training after the first time they had met in one of the rifts that appear in the catacombs, together they had cleared the top floors, and a tacit friendship built on mutual respect had grown from the experience. The one she had chosen however, seemed to have little respect for anyone, nor anything. The shadows words were absorbed as Mordechai contemplate the human waif in his hand. Shaking his head a smile formed on his lips, that never rose to the dead eyes staring at the woman. "Never confuse doing something once, with ever being able to do it again... Once.... Is still only once." Drawing the human closer Mordechai inhaled deeply of her scent, committing it to memory before casually flicking her still limp form towards the shadow. "Do not fail her. I know her now, I will find her again. If you would, finish that call once she is turned. Let Mz Andras know that her consignment is ready to be picked up, and that I look forward to her company." A soft wind rustling the fallen leaves was the only sign of the killer's passage as he left to continue his hunt.

"Once may only be once but I have no problem making it a common occurrence if that is what you really want."
He remained silent after that letting the large killer posture and act as big and bad as he felt he needed to in order to make his point known. Let the large man act childish if that was what made him happy, Blake had other things to worry about now...like the nearly dead woman he had just caught from Mordechai.
"I owe you nothing. And I never will."
A soft grumble as he took the woman in his arms and sighed. A slight shake of his head as the other vanished from sight, probably off to go flex in a mirror and admire himself or whatever the brutish male did in his spare time. If there was one thing Blake knew for certain it would be to ensure all of his progeny knew just what kind of fool Mordechai truly was.
"Tsk, now look at you....barely alive and having to have dealt with all of that. I am so sorry. Here, let me make it all better. In just a few minutes this will all have just been a very very bad dream."
Bringing his blood to bear once again he made sure that the shadow like substance no longer floated and dissipated into the cool night air. Instead now he was forcing it in to the young woman's mouth as Staus had once taught him to do. Hopefully, in time, he would find himself with a new and loyal childe. Unlike his last childe. Even now the thoughts of his first childe made him grimace.
"Please don't be like her. Be good to me and I swear I will be good to you..."

Kristi felt herself being flung into the air similar to a rag doll being passed between two kids for what felt like a minute but was in actuality a second before a pair of cool hands caught her.
Blake wrote:"Tsk, now look at you....barely alive and having to have dealt with all of that. I am so sorry. Here, let me make it all better. In just a few minutes this will all have just been a very very bad dream."
She could not decide if it was truly concern in his voice or sarcasm. His words sounded sarcastic yet seemed to hold an unknown promise in them, unfortunately Kristi could not know for sure and would not be able to seeing as where things were heading. Unknown to the girl, an impending future of sorts awaited her.
The 20 year old struggled weakly in his arms wanting so desperately to spit the vile liquid from her mouth but his last words had her halting her pitiful attempts at escaping, instead opting to use the last bit of her strength to look deep into his icy blue eyes that seem like they could summon up a blizzard at will. Her cloudy grey eyes searched his in a moment of naivety presumably asking him if he meant what he said.
The thump of Kristi’s heartbeat slowed in its steady rhythm while the rise and fall of her chest became a faint movement. It was a few short minutes later that both slowly ceased.
‘He would probably revel in the loss of his baggage.’ Was Kristi’s last thought before darkness consumed her vision and her body fell limp. A single crystalline tear escapes her eye, speaking of the helplessness, anger, regret, but most of all relief from her lonely mortal life.
At last, the mortal Kristi Zaleski... was no more.
