Re: Siren Search (Open to Siren Event Participants)

Niklaus went through the pages in front of him quietly while listening to the brief overview speech about Sirens that Ambrose delivered. Indeed, that was one of his shortlisted creatures but did they really exist? And how did they look like? The Killer remembered that the Ancient Tizheruk that surfaced a while back could disguise itself so it was highly probable that this Siren was doing the same. His fingers meanwhile discreetly delved into his backpack again to retrieve another device to switch it on; it was an audio jammer this time. So small, simple-looking and inconspicuous, it could have passed for a loudspeaker system but it had only one single, very important purpose - to protect room conversations where sensitive information may be exchanged by generating a random masking sound which desensitized any microphones nearby, and it would work up to 150 square feet of space. The jammer was effective against any microphone based eavesdropping device including tape recorders, RF transmitters, hard wired microphones and shotgun microphones so they were pretty much covered there. Security cameras could still catch them, sure, but at least their conversation was protected.
The Killer chose to respond telepathically as well as he relaxed back into his seat once the jammer was functional. “I was in a hotel, visiting a friend. An old radio started crackling and played some strange tune, courtesy of the Siren I’m guessing.” That was it, it was all he was willing to share. No one else had to know about his escapade with Tomi in the Pandemonium, nope. “And I do have one question – how do we protect ourselves from it so it can’t affect us again? In a way, yes, how do we neutralize the Siren?”
That was the first order of business before even looking for the Siren. It would just be incredibly stupid to find the creature first and risk getting whammied again, so they needed to have a plan. He knew that the others might have had different ideas in mind. Maybe some would try to communicate with the Siren instead, ask questions – if she chose to ‘attack’ them or whether if it was all an accident. Others may try to hurt the creature as payback or kill it even, those people would most likely get Niklaus’ support because at the end of the day, vampires and greek, fae creatures or whatever didn’t really ‘talk’. It was how their world worked. They tried to kill one another and that was it. No diplomacy among monsters.
