It eased his nerves when he heard her laugh. He knew that his first impression to her wasn't good, and if he got on a good side then it would be easier to create a bond. And maybe get her to like him a bit more. He should also, while he was here in this motel living and learning, to brush up on information with the vampires that live in this city. And the ground rules that they run by. He needed to cautious, and not get himself in trouble, or even killed. Again.

"Well as the days go by, and I control myself, I think I'll be able to get myself a job." He nodded. He worked in his family business back home. But with a new life, having to start over. It would be hard getting a job to keep himself stable.

He watched as she got up and raised an eyebrow, catching the plastic bag and looking at it. "Sure, yeah." He nodded and pushed himself up with a small groan. Maybe even a hot shower will ease his muscle soreness. "This doesn't mean you can run off and leave me here." He joked to her before he went to the bathroom. He shut the door behind him and turned on the shower.

While he stood under the warm water he let everything soak in at that exact moment. He was a vampire. He fed off humans to live. He couldn't go into sunlight, and he couldn't make contact with his family yet. They all must be worried about him, wondering where he disappeared off too, if he was still alive. He better get use to it now.. Somehow.

The tall man came out of the bathroom a moment later, cleaned up of the blood, and clothed. His muscles were less tense and sore due to standing in the shower for nearly an hour. "Alright. So where are you taking me?"

"I will be right here..." She offered him a small smile as he moved off into the bathroom. As soon as he was behind the closed door, she collapsed against the bed. Her worry over this man had had her on edge for the last week, her rest nearly non-existent. All waking hours were spent in this hotel room, and now that she knew he would be okay, her body begged for sleep. But, there was no way she could do that now. No, she needed to stay awake and alert to make sure that Forsyth was well enough off to spend the daylight hours with little discomfort. He would be here alone, and right now, she was all he had to hold on to. A big responsibility, but one she couldn't shy from.

While he was in the shower, she managed to slip silently around the room. While she felt a bit like a caged animal, the constant movement allowed some of her deeply knotted nerves to unwind. While it was obvious that she was not in the most stable os positions, she was better off that he was. Right now, he needed her to keep her head about her so that he could make it through the night without causing any problems.

As he moved out of the bathroom, her pacing stalled to take in his appearance. He looked much better, healthy...in a vampiric sort of way, at least. "Much better, don't you think?" she asked, canting her head as she gave him a once over. He would do, and they would make a well enough team the longer they took the city. Though she had made connection with the lineage members, he was the one she was most closely connected to. "I figured we would go and check out the abandoned apartment complex. Some lowly humans like to spend the nights there. They will make easy enough targets, with little risk of being caught..." she explained, nodding her head. It would make a good enough practice for him, a good way to be sure he could feed in secret.

Taking now as a good enough time to get him out of the hotel room, she grinned. "Feeling up to walking around?"

The man glanced down at himself and nodded. "I feel a lot better." He offered a small grin to the woman. But he could still feel the achy pain in his stomach. He knew it was hunger, or he believe it was, he still didn't know much about vampirism. But she did say that he still needed to feed. After the shower he stood in front of the mirror trying to figure out where his fangs came from, and the way he felt different in his skin.

"A walk? I think that would be nice seeing as I was supposedly in here for a week." He moved towards her only to go past and towards the window. He peaked outside to see the scenery, if he could recognize where they were. But it didn't look familiar at all. He was trying to remember the hotel he did stay in before this happened. This wasn't the place.

"Hm." He hummed quietly and turned to look at the woman again. "What's the time? Now you're making me worried about sunlight." He was. He read about how vampires couldn't go out in the sun, and knew what it could do. "Tell me this. Do we burst into flames if the sun catches us?" He couldn't help but chuckle. Who wouldn't? To him it sounded absolutely bizarre. He decided to move towards her once again, more so like he was pacing himself, though he went to the door.

Aliyah watched the male's movements closely, like a watchful parent that didn't trust their child to go outside alone. Despite being a full-grown man, Forsyth was a child to the vampire community, with much more to learn than she could teach in one night. She was responsible for him in a way that she had never before been responsible for another. This whole siring business was making her head hurt from the pressure. No wonder everyone was so angry to learn she had done everything practically on her own.

"We aren't going far, but it gets you out of these four walls," she softly replied, shrugging up a shoulder with the smallest of grins. She fell silent as he inspected the outside world, quite positive he had no idea where he was. If he did happen to have some sense of direction, all the better. It meant she might leave him to his own devices for a little while once she got him fed. She needed to get him some cash.

As he moved on toward the door, she followed suit, letting him lead the way out. Once they were outside in the cold, she stuffed her hands into her pockets and gestured with her head in the direction of the apartment building. "It's probably about midnight, or so. We have plenty of time before the sun rises," she quickly assured him, not wanting to give him reason to think they were at risk of being caught up at sunrise. "We don't burst into flames, no...but we do get extremely severe burns. They are painful, and they make you wish you had burst into flames." It was the brutal truth, in her opinion. When you lived in the sun all your life, accepting it now caused unbearable pain was a pretty terrible reality.

She moved through the city streets with ease now, but kept her pace slow to allow Forsyth to get a good look around. He would need it. "So...tell me about yourself..." she said, glancing over at his tall frame from the corner of her eye.

The man didn't know where to go as they left the hotel room, even the building. He stood outside the door, hand on the door knob. It was like he was afraid to even leave his spot and go into the city. Technically he was. He was still new, he didn't know what was different about him, what he was capable of now. In his mind he thought of running off from her and going back home, but he knew in his gut that was probably a really bad idea. As she told him he was a dangerous threat to his family. So he stayed put where he was, next to her side.

"Sever burns. Well at least I don't burst into flames and run around like a maniac." He grinned to himself as he stuffed his hands in his jean pockets. He followed her gesture to the apartment building, only to follow along as she started to walk. When they past the street signs he kept a mental note in his mind with every street sign he saw to get familiar with the city, so he knew where he would be going. "This City doesn't seem so big." It probably was, but he didn't know.

The man was caught off guard from his thoughts when she asked him a question, about himself. He cleared his throat and thought for a moment about what to tell about himself. There wasn't much at all. "Well. I'm 27 years old." 'Seriously, your age first? You're so lame' He thought after his spoken words. He looked back down at the woman. He was a tall man, usually always hovered over female's if they stood next to him. "I'm engaged. But I suppose no longer. I helped with my family business, trading company, that's why I was here for a meeting.. He stared down at his feet for a while as they walked.

What else was there to talk about with himself? He was never asked such questions, usually people figured him out as they spent more time around him. So that's when he fell silent and went back to walking and focusing on the streets. He waited until she would either stop or go into a building.

All Aliyah could do was smirk when Forsyth tried to say the city wasn't too big, as he had only seen a small part of it. True, he had spent some time walking around before his attack in the forest, but even then, chances were he had seen little. Even after two months here, she found it hard to navigate. Then again, she had always been terrible when it came directions. She was never meant to be someone else's compass, that much was for sure. But thankfully, her goal tonight was fairly easy to find. It was a constant hideout for Gangsters and common criminals, but it was also a place for the homeless. They made for easy targets.

"You can still be engaged...if you want to be..." she softly replied, canting her head to look up at him. Asking about him might have been the wrong plan of action, as he now seemed lost and sad. She had turned his entire life around, and here she was asking him questions about it. He had barely had a chance to accept his new one, let alone let go of his old one. "I'm sorry I asked. I know it's a lot to take in." And she did. She had been in his position not too long ago, leaving behind everything she had ever known for a city she had only meant to be passing through.

A sudden smile formed on her lips. "Well, why don't I tell you a little about me, hm? Being your sire, I will be around a lot...so you might as know who you are dealing with, right?" If he couldn't talk about himself, she could talk about herself. Not that there was too much to tell him, but it sure beat seeing his long face. "I'm 26. I was born in Australia, lived there until I was 17. My parents are extremely religious, and I didn't agree with it...so I left. I went to college for psychology, and was on my way to a school counseling position when I found myself here." She shrugged up her shoulders at the end, as if that was her whole life story in a nutshell. It kind of was. "The rest is history."

Her steps halted as she came up to the broken down apartment building that housed Forsyth's first meal. And he would manage to get it on his own, with her instruction. Without saying a word, she hooked her arm around his and gently guided him into the building, the darkness easy to navigate thanks to their enhanced vampiric vision. "Now...you don't have to kill anyone, okay? Humans tend not to remember what happens when we feed on them...so you can just take a little from each of that. But the key..." she explained, trailing off at the end to turn him toward her so that he could see the seriousness of the situation. "The key is to get your prey alone. You can't risk anyone seeing you. Do you understand?"

There was a lot he had yet to learn about vampire secrecy and why it was so important. But, all that would come with time. One day, she would explain the Holocaust and what it meant for their kind. She would tell him what she had to learn about on her own. Feeding in secret, first. Explaining why, second.

He stopped suddenly in his footsteps when he heard those exact words. It came to a shock, thinking that knowing this life he'd need to start over. But did he really want to be engaged? It was a new life. Something to start over, a clean slate. At this point he could do what he wanted, learn new things, become a new person. Maybe he would stay here with more thought into it. He not only needed this woman, but somehow he had this feeling that she needed him. Like they were each others support system on learning how to deal with an immortal life.

He then started walking again and shook his head, "Don't apologize about that." He said lightly, waiting till she caught up with him again. "Too soon? Maybe. But it doesn't mean I'll leave you here." The man moved his blue orbs to her features and smiled faintly, letting her know he was there to stay. "I made be mad, that you took my human life away. But what's pushing the madness away is that I'm alive, in some way, and still here. And I thank you for that." He extended a hand just to squeeze her shoulder in a affection manner.

While she spoke he listened clear to what she said. He needed to know about her too, she technically is a stranger, but now his maker, someone who is connected to him. But he knows that as days go by, they will know more about each other. "Looks like we both ended up in a place that we didn't see coming" He spoke under his breath, more than to her.

He stopped once she stopped and looked up at the building. It didn't look like some place any human being would live. But he figured, in this type of City, that vampires would take shelter. He followed along once she took his arm. "I'm not sure if I can do that.. Get them alone." His eyebrows furrowed in a frown. "It'll be just as hard to even feed. I may be hungry, but the thought of drinking, from a human. I don't know.." He let out a sigh. It was true. Just the thought of taking a human, biting his or her neck, and feeding off warm blood. It didn't sound appetizing in his mind, but his stomach disagreed.

He was hungry. And it lurked in his eyes.

She didn't warrant a response to Forsyth's hushed statement, even if he was spot on. Ali had never intended to end up as a permanent resident of Harper Rock. The plans for her life had been mostly unwritten, but an immortal life of vampirism was far from any possible idea she might have had. Her hatred of the city had lessened with time, though. Her misery had been intense in her first weeks, but meeting Dhara and dealing with Ric had somehow granted her with a foothold. It was no longer a sinking hole, taking her with it. Instead, she had hands to grab onto...people that would pull her out.

The blonde woman nodded her head in understanding as his anxiety on feeding surfaced. It was an understandable anxiety. To anyone new to the lifestyle it was unsettling, and oddly cannibalistic. "It gets easier..." she promised, offering him a reassuring smile. "Here...I'll help with the first one. You just have to remember we are natural predators." As much as she knew he had to learn to do it on his own, she slipped her arm from around his to maneuver through the building's lowest floor. Thankfully, many of the homeless tended to keep to themselves, all intent on keeping what little they did have to themselves.

A rather old male sat hunched against the wall down a small walkway. Every so often he would attempt to lift himself from the floor, only to collapse in a heap in the end. It was obvious he was drunk. Aliyah knelt down beside him, canting her head. The man looked up at her in wonder, his eyes widening to find someone so clean and well-kept in a place so dirty. "Sir...are you okay?" she whispered with sugary sweetness, gesturing with a hand for Forsyth to come closer. "Would you like some help? My friend and I could get you a nice meal, maybe a good bed to rest in, hmm?""

No doubt the lie wouldn't sit well with a new vampire, but when it came to getting blood, it was a sacrifice that every self-preserving vampire eventually made. And when the man nodded his head in anticipation of good luck, she stood and leaned toward her childe. "When you help him stand...lean in toward his neck. You will hear the blood pumping in those veins...and instinct will take over. I promise," she whispered low enough so that only his vampiric hearing would pick up on it. She had faith that he could do this. The creature within him would stir, no matter how hard he tried to fight it.

With that, she stepped back and gestured for Forsyth to move in. As a teacher of sorts, she would watch him and should a situation arise that needed immediate intervention, she would be there to take over. After, she would explain what went well, and what needed work. The art of hunting was one every vampire did differently, but the basis of techniques were generally the same. Except for Skylar, but she was some weird exception to the rule Forsyth didn't need to know that, though.

Easier. He didn't know yet if it could. It was all a big change to take, a whole new different life style that one would never find her or him self in. He never saw himself in this lifestyle. Basically, he didn't know vampires actually existed. He thought it was all fairytale, something made up from centuries and centuries ago. But here he was, standing, dead, no heart beat and no breathing. It still caught him off guard that he really didn't need to breath. But at times he found himself doing so. It was a habit he knew wouldn't disappear anytime soon.

He followed her along to the fellow man in the hallway, watching as he struggled. Somewhere Forsyth felt bad for the man. He had no clue what was about to come, either he would die, or just get fed off. But a homeless man? It didn't make anything easier, it just made him more sick to his stomach to think about it. He could smell the alcohol on the mans breath from where he sat. Oh great, hopefully he doesn't taste that in the blood. He was being a bit picky. But who could blame him? This would be his first meal as a vampire, maybe some one a bit more decent would help.

While he waited for the woman to do her work, he took notes. Obviously he wouldn't get any response seeing as he was a man. Not many trusted a guy for help. A woman? Probably a bit more. He sighed and scratched at his cheek. This will be hard to survive. Maybe if he could get his way into a hospital and steal blood bags instead. It wasn't such a bad idea. Though he needed to learn ways to get in and out without getting caught or questioned.

When he was motioned over he listened into the woman's words and nodded. "Got it." He said with a nod of his head. But he really didn't. It still made him uneasy. Blood.. Didn't sound tasteful one bit. He moved to the elderly man up and leaned in towards the neck. He could smell, even hear the blood. And that made his gums ache, his jaw ache, stomach growl and pinch with hunger. But he couldn't get himself to do so, not even to extract his fangs. Even if he tried to convince himself just to bite, fangs or no fangs. But nothing. He eased the man against the wall and looked over at the woman with a frown at his forehead. "I can't." He whispered and turned on his heel to head back the way they came in

Maybe he was different then other vampires. She said instinct would take over. But it didn't for him. No matter how much he pushed himself to do so mentally. He needed to find a way, though, to feed so he didn't suffer, or worse, dry himself out.

The blonde watched as Forsyth moved in to make his move. His steps were hesitant, but he seemed to be trying to shove down his insecurity about the situation. It was only when he pulled away that she realized he was a little more concerned than she had first thought. Her eyes fell closed as he moved past her back toward the door. She swiftly moved to the male, her fangs moving into his neck. The bite was quick, allowing the man to grow dazed and confused enough so that he would forget the whole encounter.

Satisfied that they would not be remembered, she rushed out after Forsyth, grabbing onto his arm. She didn't stop his stride, instead hooking her arm through his. "Okay...so I guess that isn't your thing. But, you do need to feed. That leaves...a couple of other options," she began, glancing around at the various faces they passed as they moved along the street. One of those options was one she used most frequently thanks to Dhara, but the other was one that was not looked upon with very open minds. "You can feed from bagged blood, but it is by no means cheap to do so. Or...you can feed off of other vampires."

She didn't explain to him the views of feeding off other vampires, but if that was the way he thought he might wish to live out his immortal life, she would not judge him. Aliyah didn't know exactly how the practice worked, she only knew of Ric's habits. If it meant that Forsyth would need to feed from her, then there would be no way she could turn him down. Not if she wanted him to stay healthy in this vampire life she had thrust him into.

"How do you feel?" she asked him, quietly. Blue eyes shifted up to his face, searching for any signs that he was under serious distress. Not that she was sure how she would manage to do it, but she would raise his spirits. Maybe once she had gotten blood into his system somehow, she would take him out to do something he enjoyed. Whatever that might be.
