"Thank you." Pi said sincerely, shifting position so she stood shoulder to shoulder with her old friend she shifted her gaze towards the stage, ignoring Madison's rather colourful rejoinder to their conversation. The thing about being in a room full of vampires a private conversation was never a given, and there were a lot of ears in this place but the only ones she truly cared about were Madison's and the woman standing next to her.
"Well, then..." she said, lifting her hand towards the stage. "I won't stand in your way."

Velveteen snorted softly at the comment and replied the blonde in the same manner though her gaze remained steady on the killer at her side. "Then it seems your eyebrows are confused." This was entirely too much fun. "You are welcome, Pi. I shall treat her as if she were one of my own." For anyone who knew Velveteen and her history that was a statement that could be left so wide open that any assurance it might have otherwise offered was indeed rather minimal.

"It seems your ******* colorblind then."
'And you're a fool if you believe a word out of her ******* mouth,' she said privately to Pi's mind.
OOC: Reminder that Madison's model claim is NOT an exact representation of the character.

"Nah. I just don't like to stare at stupid too long. I might go blind. Or is that the sun that makes you blind and stupid rots the brain cells." The woman set her gaze on the the woman and smiled sweetly. "Perhaps either or in your case. But lucky for you you need not be pretty or smart for what I have planned." She flicked her gaze to Pi and wondered if she was going to remain out or change her mind. "Fifty Thousand."

by Zodiac
Zodiac stood quietly as the back and forth banter commenced. Needless to say, she was a tad concerned as she wondered what was going through Vel's mind with this, and considering she had personally seen some downright scary **** emerge from that mind in the past it took effort to keep her imagination on a leash. She slipped beside the woman as Pi backed off.
"Well, if you are so eager to spend money, why not something on something usefull?" she whispered as she pointed to her readings up for bid.

Giving the smaller woman a thorough once-over, the telepath on stage snickered. Madison knew she was the smarter of the two. She was faster too, more skilled and more stubborn to boot. The only thing Vel might have on her was muscle and quite a bit of bloat.

Doc belatedly realized Madison's auction had already started, and as he stepped closer, he found out Velveteen was the high bidder. Well ****. He wasn't going to bid against Vel. He moved through the crowd to end up standing by Vel.
"Evening Vel," he nods to her "Zodiac..."
He smiled politely up at Madison, "Looking hot up there Madison!" Then in an aside to Vel, "I was going to bid on her.. because I have this silk "french maid" outfit.. but since you're bidding...

Velveteen arched a brow as Zodiac approached her, her grin giving little away as she inclined her head. "Oh I know Zo...but one man's trash is another woman's treasure and Spanky over there will be quite useful." When Doc approached he was greeted with a slight wrinkling of her nose. "Duckie." A laugh trickled over her lips. A pony in a onsie would look hot to this man, provided it was ,of course, female. She leaned a little closer as he spoke and nodded. "She can wear that and still do what I want....so I guess we will both win. God I hope she waxes. I highly doubt that the carpet matches the drapes."

Madison averted her gaze from Velveteen in attempts to refrain from glaring daggers into the woman's eyes. Instead her blue eyed gaze searched the crowd for Alexandrea, or even Mason. Anything to distract her from the hot hint of rage starting to bubble in the back of her mind. Her hands twitched as she fought the urge to clench them into fists. Getting Madison into a rage was probably exactly what the tree-hugger wanted. But while she may have a quick temper and almost a faster trigger finger, there was no way in hell Madison was going to give that **** what she wanted in this moment. The ***** would have to pay out the nose for it.

With a sigh Pi turned towards the stage, her gaze questioning. She didn't have to talk loudly to be heard so merely asked the question. "What do you want me to do Madison?" Pi had 2.5 million dollars to blow, and if Madison wanted her to blow it, then she would.
If Velveteen wanted to play cat and mouse, then Pi would see just how much the woman was willing to pay for the privilege. It's not like she would lose near as much as that total. It WAS her auction, she would automatically get half back, and she could probably convince Madison to hand over a good portion of the million plus she'd pocket and at most, Pi would be out of pocket about 500k.
With a small smile she considered how that would go over with Elliot and quit worrying. Elliot, would probaby contribute to the pot.
"Fifty one thousand"
