Nevaeh and Renee - Jesse can understand their bids, to an extent.
Alexandrea confuses him. This is a woman he's sent to the Shadow Realm, and who by all rights should hate him, or at least be wary of him. Or at least realise that his own attitude toward her might not be so fantastic. He assumes, in the end, that she might have something of a darker nature planned for him. Well, so be it, he supposes.
It's when Madison gets up on stage to declare him 'tall, dark and tattooed' that he has to arch a brow in obvious incredulity. But then, there's just literal truth in her words, rather than any kind of compliment. So he just laughs, shrugs his shoulders, and goes with it.

Grey had followed the lights. The rush of voices. The stages were set. The occupants of the chairs were various in nature. And, perhaps she wouldn't have strolled down the hall if she hadn't of gotten turned around. Though she had become a Creature of the Night; she was still new here. The city still seemed to escape her grasp of a fine map inside of her head.
Before work, she had taken the wrong turn. Her mind had been filled with questions and she had been far too busy within her thought process to realize that not only would she be extremely late, but something drew her here. So, when she saw Jesse sprawled on stage with his arms crossed and that devilish look in his eyes, she blinked. Yes, she just blinked.
He had a small crowd. Women mostly. She was sure the advertisements for what he would and wouldn't do were oh so blatant. She pulled one of the pamphlets out and began to read it over. Her hair had been pulled back into a long braid, and there was a jacket that no doubt obscured most of what she wore besides her jeans that evening. It was only once she was done reading that she lifted her chin ... and would stare his way.

Of course he sees her as soon as she enters. He's up on the stage and has a nice view of the entire establishment, and the door is right there, across his line of sight.
When she lifts her gaze to stare at him he grins. Broad and cheeky, he winks at his fiance and crooks his finger, indicating that she should come in a little further. That she should approach the stage and come to stand in front of him, so that he can look at her. He likes watching her. Especially when she doesn't know he's watching her.
The renovations to Larch Court are nearly finished, but there are still a few things that Jesse wants to do - a few things he needs to buy and install. He needs the money, and if he can sell himself this way, if he can make money by doing this, then so be it. Of course, it's kind of a moot point if Renee buys him, but at least his grand-progeny can be reassured that her hard-earned cash won't be blown on something trivial - but on something that'll benefit her, too.

Her ugly olive bag was strewn across her shoulder. That only meant that she had plans to go training down in the sewers when she was done with work for the evening. She watched his lips broaden into that bad boy grin. And, in turn, her lips curved up into a smile too. No, she didn't look upset. She didn't look pissed off. She didn't look like she was going to boil over when he was up on stage being sold for something he had plans for no doubt.
"Jesse." She greeted her lover. She went up onto her tip toes as if she were waiting for his kiss from far away. She watched that handsome inked man watch her like-wise. "Why didn't you tell me about this? I could have made you a sign. With lots of glitter and a huge heart. 'Jesse for Sale!' No?"
She grinned in a way that her eyes seemed to have that instigating glint. Those flyways already seemed to tickle over her cheeks and she pushed her fingers back over her ears, tucking the extra tendrils out of her way. It was nice to see her lover up on a pedestal. Fitting, almost for a few of those thoughts of hers.

Even though he's up there on display, probably for a good reason, as soon as Grey approaches and leans up to him on her tip-toes, Jesse strides forward to lean over and cup her jaw, to brush a kiss over her lips. Because why not? He can't resist at the best of times, and now is no different.
After he has greeted his fiance properly, he steps back to the podium, where he's supposed to be. It helps, that Grey is there, otherwise he might forget the good things in life and instead focus on how awfully his ego is being bruised. He'd seen a few auctions thus far. He'd seen people get up into the one-hundred-thousands. At least over fifty-thousand, he'd like, but it's not happening. At least with Grey there he can focus on how much sooner her can go home with her.
"I did it on a whim," he says. "To make us some money to use on the house but..." he spreads his arms and raises his voice a little. It sounds unnatural for him, to raise his voice too much. "I am not good enough!"
