Illustrating Thoughts and Feelings [Alexandrea]

Hanei watched his painting, or attempt thereof, for several moments, wondering what exactly he was trying to illustrate. He wanted to show how he felt, but was just painting Corin, Jezebel, and Mother Death now. How exactly did he intend to show his feelings by simply putting their faces on a canvas? What purpose did it serve? He wasn't sure, and sighed in near defeat as he struggled with how to continue.

Then suddenly he heard Alexandrea enter the room again, surprised that he hadn't heard her sooner. What she had to say was intriguing, for it did make a lot of sense and felt somewhat helpful as he considered it. He was impressed by the artwork she shared, and noted how each one was at least a little different from the others, even if only subtly. What was she trying to tell him? Not to give up? to try something else? Then she asked if he was having 'fun', and his heart nearly stopped.

"F...fun?" he queried slowly and softly, his voice somewhat raspy again due to his never-ending lung condition. He had no idea what fun was, he hadn't even tried such a thing in years, not since he was a child. All he had ever thought about was killing, whether to defend himself, to avenge an insult, or because Mother Death instructed him into doing so. Fun? What on earth did that mean?

After sharing her private works to Hanei, the Allurist was pleased to see that he not only seemed to understand what she was trying to express but get something out of it. Until the end, when she had mentioned having fun. The young Killer looked at Alexandrea in a way that almost broke her heart, he seemed to be at a complete loss over the idea of.. fun.

The blonde had a slightly puzzled look on her own face as she looked a lot more closely at Hanei than she ever had before, her expression becoming quite serious for a moment before Alex broke into a huge grin, eyes dancing with merriment.

"Well now, my new friend. It seems like I have a lot more to teach you than how to paint. Hanei, I'm going to teach you to have some fun."

The Allurist took out a coin and held it out to Hanei. "Head's we head outside and have a snowball fight, maybe build a snowman. Tails I break out the fingerpaints and we sit on the floor and play like a couple of kids. Your call."

Johnathon couldn't understand why she was so confused, he simply had never known a time when he could truly be a child. Her sudden change of happiness over his admiring her artwork, to sadness over the idea of him not understanding this strange three lettered word was startling. For a moment, he thought he had hurt her feelings.

Then she smiled and told him she was going to teach him to 'have fun'. You can have fun? It's a tangible thing you can hold in your hand? He blinked at her use of a coin, and then made his choice.

"...Heads."
