Similarly, what about old RPs that are taking a long *** time to write. They're dated before the charrie died, but you can't post to them anymore because of the new rule.

Will there be a way to put a charrie into vacation mode voluntarily? Some things you can't plan 3 or 4 days in advance to make sure one drops to vacation before you bring out a replacement.

First question: how you explain that would be up to you. If alive, then they aren't in the city anymore. If dead, then perhaps they are being swallowed by shadows or some such. Perhaps they've gone mad. But in this instance, OOC really does trump the roleplay need people have to be able to have it make sense for their characters.

Second question: don't let your characters go inactive if you want to roleplay them retrospectively. Or give them some time while dead and active (while letting another go inactive) so you can finish the roleplay.

Third question: No there won't be a way to go into vacay voluntarily. Too much abuse is possible with that. I'd suggest only have 4 characters, as was the original point behind the 4 characters rule.

All depends on why people have the charries they do.

And I have RPs from - probably - 6 months ago that are still running. "Some time while dead and active" - doesn't quite cut 6 months or more for one thread. lol

Example/Suggestion/Question - I've created Quinn Morgan so that Wolffyn has someone writing her curse of concerned relatives. That's one thread, only will ever be one thread - I think - and it's never going to do anything on the grid. But that's taking up a charrie slot. Same with Emilee Marshall. Could I create one account that would allow me to run multiple personalities from it purely for this purpose of filling in gaps in other people's stories?

I don't want to stop offering that to people you see, but this new stipulation is going the throw a spanner in that plan as it is.

If you're roleplaying with more than 5 characters currently, then it will cause a problem for you, no doubt. But the change is still going ahead, so it might be a good time to either finish threads or decide which ones don't need finishing.

One account = one physical character. But that one character could have split personalities.

:(

Oh well, there goes that 'community service' as it were.

It was an awesome idea though, Jenny. :) I know I'm not the only one that appreciated your willingness to write short run characters to fill out gaps in others stories. :) Maybe the idea will catch on?

I'll still keep the two I've got at the moment going. I'm not going to leave anyone in the lurch on that one. So I'll see them through to completion.

Just means Charlotte's staying in the SR until they're done I guess.
