Re: [Pathday 3] Two steps forward, one step back (Enver)
There was the briefest of moments where she thought he may be laughing at her but that quickly subsided, as she realised he wasn't teasing her for leaving her weapon at home. It was an odd conversation to have with Enver however. If she were out fighting she was usually armed and swords were a little more difficult to conceal than firearms, especially if one dressed as she did, but that never worried her as she usually went straight to the catacombs to fight and returned home when she was done. This night however, she had neglected to prepare herself for hunting as the focus of the evening was the date and so there she stood, chastising herself for her stupidity. Enver at least was quite gracious about it and used the opportunity to reminisce over how they first met. She recalled the day quite clearly and yet as he began to speak she realised that her recollection was quite different from his.
"Me?" Her eyes twinkled as she was expecting a light-hearted disagreement to follow and she did quite like arguing with her husband at times. "You the thief were. Engaged I already was in battle with the ancient when you at me did shoot." She poked him in the stomach with her right index finger. "Fired at me you did. Thought I did then you me harm did wish. And then you the relic tried to take when died it did. Quite rude I thought you then."
None of what she said was a lie and now that she knew Enver the way she did, she kind of understood why he kept trying to walk away from her and avoid speaking of the situation. For one Enver didn’t seem to like admitting he was wrong and so apologising for trying to kill her wasn’t something he was likely to do when he didn’t know her all that well; though she had of course followed him long enough to get some sort of vague platitude. Add to that the fact that he didn’t seem to respond well to conflict in his personal life and it all made a lot more sense. Keara did of course know that Enver was not trying to kill her but it had felt that way at the time, as she was sure he could see her and so was trying to make him think about his future antics, as some were not as quick in their reactions as she was.

He knew that his story was a bit fabricated and that she would too. As she told her side of things, Enver scoffed. "Me, hurt you?" He chuckled and shook his head. "I think it would have ended in your favor, if it had gone down differently." Enver didn't remember being rude, so he snorted in disagreement. "You weren't all sunshine and rainbows either, beautiful." Enver winked at her as an arm moved around her back and rested on the hip furthest from him and gave her a tug in to him.
"Ready to go?" He asked after a few seconds of silence between them. He was excited to get back to their date night, but if she wanted to stick down here for a while, he could alter things around. That was their life, not that he minded. Plans got altered on whims, and sometimes it worked out of the best. Sometimes it didn't. "We don't have to go too far." He spoke as Enver bent down at the waist and snatched up some rusty dagger that was at his feet on the floor of the cracked flooring of the catacombs. "Might save this for later. I'm sure it could come in use." Enver chuckled before he shot her a slightly devious look, the small dagger finding its way in to the back of his pants and in its pockets.

Keara nodded to say she was happy to leave, her arm looping around his back and resting on his hip to mirror the way he held her. She didn't comment when he picking up the blade, or she certainly didn't mistake the tone in his voice. All she could do was smile at him, flashing him her fangs as she did so, not even attempting to hide what she thought of this act, as she knew all too well what he meant. This distraction however didn't stop her from starting to tease him a little regarding the topic they'd just been discussing.
"Sunshine and rainbows?" her tone was one of mild amusement. "Hope I should not that that terminology to me ever could apply. Require you do darkness in your match." She bumped him slightly with the side of her body playfully. "Odd words they are to a creature of darkness e'er to compare. And yes. Hurt me you could have if so quick my reactions had not been."
There was something else she wanted to say. The conversation wasn't over but before she'd continue she'd looked around them warily to see if anyone was listening and then, (as she wasn't feeling confident in voicing her words aloud), she spoke the rest of the conversation directly into his mind.
'And no pleasure in that would I then have taken...Well...That not strictly true is. But think I do that get my meaning you do.'
Keara hugged him a little tighter against her as she finished her thoughts but didn't look up at him. There was no real reason for her bashful behaviour, other than the fact that she knew her husband and the route this conversation could take. Neither route had them carrying out what he planned any time soon but for two very different reasons.

Re: [Pathday 3] Two steps forward, one step back (Enver)
Her smile let him know she understood exactly what he meant and he grinned wider too. He leaned over in to her so he could brush his lips against the side of her forehead as they walked, then slowly, and regrettably inched away. The two didn't embrace the idea of too much public displays of affection, at least not in an obvious way in his mind. Sometimes **** happened, but for the most part Enver tried to keep things like that in the secrecy of their home or at least among themselves.
They were back in the sewers before Enver commented on the idea of him needing some darkness in his life. He wouldn't exactly put it that way, the male rather enjoying the lighter side of life. He of course assumed she meant the whole opposites attract thing, which he couldn't disagree with. Of course, his vocal reply didn't fall short of an Enver like comment; something that either held humor, or perversion in some regard, even if subtly glimpsing along the surface of his flirty nature. "You'll have to show me this side of darkness when we get where we're going. Before I can agree." He winked down at her, letting her know he was being his usual, cheeky self. The rest of her opinions on things didn't fall on deaf ears, and he let her know that by letting his hand drop quickly and giving her butt a firm squeeze.
His hand quickly found the small of her back again as they came to the ladder they used to get down in to the sewers, not sure who would all be there and not wanting to embarrass her in any way. At least not in front of her family; anyone else he could give a damn about. "So any idea where we're going yet?" Enver asked her, wondering if she might have suspected, being he was more than happy to let them stray from his plan (even if it wasn't that far of a stray). Keara wasn't an idiot and he had noticed how perceptive she was, even when the male was being subtle and trying to evade certain topics of conversations.
Ever the gentleman (and not minding abusing a situation), Enver waited for his wife to climb the ladder first, his eyes on her (or more like it, under her skirt) as he enjoyed the view from down below, waiting to see what her opinion was on where it was they were going. He wouldn't wait to hear it before he climbed up the ladder after her, then would collect her hand and take her to where they were going; his theatre. "Thought it'd be nice to go where we sort of started. Though, I suppose you have me beat on that." Enver winked at her, because they had met in the catacombs first, even if the pretenses weren't positive to begin with.

Re: [Pathday 3] Two steps forward, one step back (Enver)
She had a very good idea of where they were heading but even having been given the opportunity to guess, she said nothing. Keara's mind was still working on the comment about her showing Enver her darker side and while she knew he'd seen it on many occasions, it didn't stop her from mentally listing the things she could do to prove this to him once again. She'd ascended the ladder with little effort and had no trouble going ahead of her husband, knowing that he'd rather enjoy being both chivalrous and perverse at the same time. It had not escaped her attention that Enver could quite often find a way to take advantage of a situation if he wanted too. She'd even begun to think that that boy of hers could spin straw into gold if he set his mind to it.
"Several places in this city there are that say we could we started at," she acknowledged with a nod.
They had first met in the catacombs and had in fact spent the majority of the beginning of their relationship in each other's company in there. The theatre could be considered the location of their first date but then neither of them knew that that was what it was back then. Their relationship had officially started in a little cafe in the Redwood district, despite the conversation having been a little on the hostile side. Then there was their first official date over at the fairground where they played laser tag. Keara didn't know she was smiling but she was, she had no choice but to as she recalled the first few milestones of their relationship.
"Have you beat I do on many things," she teased, giving him one of her more innocent smiles before taking his hand and leading him in the direction of the theatre without thinking.

Re: [Pathday 3] Two steps forward, one step back (Enver)
Enver started to scoff, but then decided against it. Instead, he nodded as his usual cheeky grin pulled on his features. "That's true. Don't quite have the *** you do." He winked at her before giving it a slap as she led them to where he intended on going. Once they were there, the male held open the door for his wife and waited for her to get in.
"Remember the first movie we saw? First movie you saw?" Enver asked her as she headed in. "And the, ahhh, conversation it led to?" That was an understatement. The movie he had picked out suited his mood at the time and apparently was something Keara knew about first hand. It has started a conversation about her past and in that conversation, Keara more or less got a wide eye about Enver's stance on the community and the "laws" some of them decided to live by. Laws imposed by a person who wasn't any older a vampire then he was. If there were laws, some older vampire like Keara should make the laws in his eyes. Those that lived for centuries, successfully.
"I almost went with a different movie. We've not seen that one yet. So I figured we should check that one out on the big screen. Been a while since we've been here and just sat and forgot about what's going on outside there." Not that a lot was going on in their life, outside of the usual relationship things from time to time, but it was still nice in Enver's mind to pretend the city strife's didn't exist. "So figured we could check it out. I think you'll like it. It's called "The Fifth Element."" Enver revealed to her as he swung by the concession stand for some popcorn and a pop.

Re: [Pathday 3] Two steps forward, one step back (Enver)
She couldn't forget the first movie she saw, as she'd been so excited to actually be in the theatre and watching it on the being screen, though perhaps that hadn't showed in her demeanour back then. When she looked back on the evening their conversation before the movie was the one that stood out for her, not the one the film inspired. She remembered running across Enver in the catacombs and how he seemed to be waiting for her, having half expecting her to have received some message from the public crownet board. She had no idea he'd been waiting for her and had had to investigate this message on the way to the theatre. What also stuck in her memory was the fact that they had the theatre to themselves and that Enver had sat them in the middle of the room, making her feel self-conscious and forcing her to scrunch down in the seat.
"Recall I do not the conversation of which you speak," she confessed. "But the movie remember well I do. Quite...generous I thought you that night."
She was still trying to figure out what the conversation was that he was speaking of. Had they disagreed on something? If they had quarrelled that night, she didn't recall it, but then if they had agreed to disagree, it obviously wasn't that much of an issue to her. She and Enver had a habit of simply avoiding certain topics these days, not because they didn't wish to talk to the other, but because they knew their words would not sway the other and that the conversation would just go round and round in circles with both of them feeling more and more frustrated. In some ways it was quite a healthy way of dealing with their difference, as they respected one another and did not fight to change the others viewpoint.
Keara did half recall hinting at just how old she was, as she was sure she told him that she had lived through the actual gunpowder plot around which the film was plot of the film was based. She had wondered if perhaps he had somehow found out how old she was, when she was born, which country she was from. As it was, it turned out to be one amazing coincident. A sign from Nox perhaps.
She mused over the title of the movie, wondering what it was about and what type of movie it was. It sounded like it might be something magical, as elements were often important in rituals but she quickly dismissed this idea as Enver had not been a fan of that particular skill when they met. He likely wasn't all that keen on the art still but he was at least able to tolerate it and had even encouraged her to spend more time at the altar, as he knew it was a skill she favoured.
"Will we the film with others be watching?" she asked, curious to see if Enver was perhaps testing how far she'd come since they'd first met.

Re: [Pathday 3] Two steps forward, one step back (Enver)
Generous? He wasn't sure he'd put it like that. It just seemed like the 'right' thing to do. He knew she hadn't seen a movie before and he wanted her to enjoy the experience. He also wanted them alone in case she had to ask any questions or just wanted to talk. Plus, having experience with other shadows, the male knew they wouldn't want a full theatre. It just seemed safer all around to have done what he did.
"Other people?" Enver asked as he collected the popcorn and pop before he shook his head. "Nah. I'm sure you can find this movie on Netflix or something like that. Figured it'd be nice to have it be just the two of us." He added in as he nudged his head to the theatre. He would have linked the two of them together somehow; be it a hand for hers, or an arm around her waist, but both his hands were full, so Enver just kept his steps in line with hers as they progressed to the room they'd watch the movie in.
"Where do you want to sit?" Enver asked once they were in the room, leaving the choice up to her. They'd seen plenty of movies together and watched them at any angle in any location, so it really wasn't about the experience this time. Not in terms of wanting to impress her on the idea of movies, watching them and enjoying them. Tonight was simply about spending a night together, doing nothing but enjoying their time together. Uninterrupted.

Re: [Pathday 3] Two steps forward, one step back (Enver)
She lightly gripped his arm with her hand and snuggled up against him in her usual manner as they made their way into the theatre in which the film would be playing. Since his hands were full, she fulfilled his usual role by opening the door for him and waiting for him to pass through it. She was getting used to Enver eating around her and it wasn't as distracting as it used to be, at least not when he ate things like this. Not that Enver ate all that often when she was around, it wasn't like they could go to a restaurant, so situations in which he could eat in her presence were few and far between.
Having entered the screening room she guided them to the back row, as she much preferred to have her back to the wall if it were at all possible. They sat in the centre of the row, and she scooted down in her seat trying to get comfortable. If the film was boring she was sure she'd find herself in the arms of her husband, at which point the evening would take a different turn, but Enver always put thought into the things they should do together so she doubted that, that would be necessary. As the film started up, she couldn't help but wonder why he'd chosen this particular movie and yet by the end, the answer to that would be quite clear. All in all, as usual, they were in for a pleasant evening no matter what.
