I'm not upset about her writing with you at all. I'm just pointing out that some things in the long run need to be clarified.
If it was going to be 'when Pi closes the bid' it should have said 'Bids in the auction end around 11:59, but you can get your last bids in before Pi closes the thread.'
I wasn't here for this in the past, and with new writers coming in, they wouldn't have either, so they wouldn't know that's what's happening.
As it looks now, it could come across as 'rigged' or, as we have, people upset OOC and IC because their bids were outdone at the very last second because Madison was allowed to come in AFTER the bidding time and place one that was accepted, just due to how the rule alone was stated. It doesn't matter that LATER on in the thread she came in and said what she was doing. That was too close to the deadline, and not what people had been expecting since this started.
It just needs to be better clarified for the next round.

It was a fun auction, and the feedback is helpful. I do think this new set up works lots better than previous years and with minor tweaking It will help with next year for sure. Definitely timing, and clearer communication about it, we can do. But overall I think the format, set up and process went well, and people looked like they had fun.
I'll share insights once all the feedback is in and reveal new rules. Some of those rules we had intended for the next year, and some will be created from the feedback :)
Thanks for taking the time to fill in the form.
Don't forget the RP portion of the spot prizes, looks like we have around 651k to give away (if all, people send me their money)
Just a thread, somewhere public (if I were people I'd use the bidding threads myself) and only needs one RP post from the winner and one RP post from the slave about anything to do with what happens afterwards.
Spot prize voting and RP deadline is next week.

Hey, just read the feedback so far, and it looks good and will be really helpful to plan what happens next time. Thanks for those who have grilled it in so far.
For those who haven't filled it in yet, please do!

It's an ooc survey to get feedback about mechanics of the auction process :)

The box is too small.
I'd change the 'you have to rp on the forum after you win' stuff. Because we shouldn't be forced into long forum rp or to even post it if we don't want too. If the slave/owner doesn't have complaints then what does it matter where they rp at? The auctions are for fun, not 'you have to do this or that', and well the more rules you have the more control freekish you come off and it shouldn't be reading a mile long thing just to participate in something that is put on for community fun. And i'm not going to title my thread 'auction 2014' just because I won a slave. my rp isn't about the auction, its about my character, the auction cards were about the auction. I'd rather name the rp something to do with the rp and leave off the tag -and I especially wouldn't post it in the same threads where you've already said is open to everyone to see in lancasters, and risk confusion on if someone is seeing what is being written. It's like asking for crossing, because people make mistakes, and I'm just not comfortable with that. Even in the 'auction' area I feel it's far to easy for someone to get confused about the matter, so i'm likely going to post any long form rp i'd do in Streets - where all rp is accepted and known to be private unless stated that it's open. I really feel that, basically, you could simplify everything and sum it down to a few rules that don't look like a huge daunting post.
'In-Game coins are the currency
This is when the auction ends
Slave Card format link
If you break the rules and dont pay/get complaints your banned'
And before you think i'm attacking what natasha or you have done, because you aren't Ash, I'm not. I told Ash she should simplify her rules too. Something that is for fun shouldn't have a million rules attached to it. The auction rules are longer then path's rules. Thats a bit over the top.

It's all good, if people would prefer their RP remain private, that's fine. The public forum RP is for anyone who would like to go into the draw for RP spot prize, hrmm and good point about the RP thread. I'd just put it all there cause I like it all in one place. But it' a good point. If people don't wish, then Id suggest they pot outside of the thread. sadly I don't control the width of the survey monkey input box :) But I thought it was too small too.
I like the rules comprehensive, what that means for me, is that it becomes more of a faq sheet people can go to to answer any questions they might have. Rather than have to keep asking the same question over and over.

Yeah I get that, but you could split it into 'rules' and 'FAQ' and just make 2 separate posts, so someone can be like 'okay, this is the rules' and then your next post can be more like 'I dont know.. oh, i can do that, okay.'
As the auctions re-occur, people won't need to ask questions who have done it before, but you have to read the whole thing just to make sure there isn't a rule change, because you can't just glance at it and see.

*fixes typos in her post*
Rampant errors in typing is usually a result of typing, texting stuff on a device of some sort that doesn't have a keyboard.
The rules may be tweaked a little before next year, Natasha and I were talking about how they'd probably be adjusted a few times before then, thus the reason for the poll, to get your guys opinions on what worked and what didn't.
I would like to stress that everyone's feedback is really really reeeeeeeeeeally helpful :) And after exams I'll be collating it together and implementing some adjustments for next year.
