This is beautiful. I think it could do without the name OR the name in a smaller, thinner font? Or perhaps a more muted color. I feel like it distracts a bit? o.O

I'm having troubling marrying my model with my backgrounds...

I'm not sure which is to blame. Help me?

I really like the first one, and honestly - I don't see much of a problem with the blending at all.

If anything I would maybe get rid of that thin line of lighter pixels around the hairline? Unless that happens to be the background. But otherwise it's perfect.

My trick for blending is just adjust my coloring and lighting on top of the background and model.

I can tell you already blur the edges (which is my only other trick) but you may want to be careful blurring lighter colors onto a dark background.

I might also slightly overlap the model and cat so that it creates more depth, if that makes sense. But that's just a personal preference thing. I tend to fiddle with things endlessly till it looks kinda sorta right. XD

But seriously, they look pretty cool ^_^

I agree with the hair halo on the first one...but my favorite is the second. It already has depth and text would balance the weight of the cat and model.
