It's not a fair fight if all you have to do is be the one that clicks, unless you can back yourself up with decent powers to defend and destroy, you ain't fighting back.
I disagree. I think it would be a problem with battle tactics. If you observe some of the other battles, you can see the other party fighting back. It could be as simple of a matter as if you are the defender, if you have your power usage set to, "Use whenever possible," your character will use powers until out of anima.

Looks to me like there's a mix of the defender doing nothing and the defender attacking back. There's bits of both in the logs that have been posted so far.

However, in the Hantu/Steph one - Steph mind blocked Hantu and was successful, but Hantu then later used a power. Just as an aside.

We do still need a way for the underdog to be able to win fights, even when against fighter characters. but not if that advantage is the opponent doesn't fight back.

That still doesn't change the fact the clicker seems to win most of the time, unless the opponent has damaging powers in their arsenal, or gets a rare hit , though those are very rare from the logs so far. Also some powers are not working right in gauntlet, the whole thing is not working right and the wins so far have not been fair wins, for pretty much every fight. the evidence is pretty clear on that, the opponent rarely fights back, only using powers. Thus the initiator has the advantage and all you have to do is basically be the clicker, unless, as stated your opponent kicks your *** with powers.

This is a tournament after all, the system needs to be working right for the competition to be fair. Otherwise what is the point? Just showing up and clicking is NOT a strategy.

Yeah, I just posted a bug about powers. That I can sort of confirm.

When I initiated, outside of keara... I won all battles.
Enver whipping azariel ***, thistle and steph wylde shouldn't happen imo. He's not a fighter.

I made some tweaks to use her powers 'sometimes' after losing to Alexandrea. Thistle was set to mixed attacks and always use powers, which after battle with Alexandrea was more like... 'oh you stabbed me, here play dead for a bit to hold you off." Definitely, not the 'rough fighter' that I was going for with her. :|

After changing her powers to 'use sometimes' and 'Melee to only Quick Dex strikes' Pi and Madison came along and sparred Thistle, Thistle lost all of them. If anyone has the logs I'd love to see them because Thistle also lost to 4 people prior to sparring with Alexandrea who also all initiated the fight. Though, I believe it is because everyone is at least 8-10 levels higher than her and more skilled. She was equipped with a 11/11/8 Master Blade & 10/8/10 MZ assult rifle. I was happy to see she did not shoot, since her FA is 1 and MA is 15. She should definitely, not be shooting. So.. yeah.. if anyone else wants to come along and spar with her, please PM the logs to me so I can make some more tweaks.

And... thank you kindly if you do.

I'm in a manager training class all day today, so Thistle will be in the Gauntlet. I can check PMs later tonight.

Yeh, CC is set to melee, melee, melee, but as soon as she has a gun equipped - she shoots everyone with her FA of 3. >.<

Gun unequipped and I initiate - it becomes melee and she wins. Gun unequipped and Pru initiates, it's guns and CC just stands there and takes it. lol
