The Gauntlet now allows for human VS vampire battles without the need of recognition. Security in there is set to 10, so it's hard to feed on human visitors, and a list of all people in the square will appear on the drop-down box for battling. The Gauntlet will be the only area in the city which allows friendly human VS vampire battles without any need for either recognising the other.

Today's changes:

* More PXP orbs both in the world and the SR

* Dead people no longer show up as dead on their CS. This is because this is OOC info, except for telepaths who can check memories. It also enables people to return to life in secret.

* Appraisal now requires activation via the powers page, rather than being active by default. This is to give telepaths a choice, and fixes the problem with the fox ear relic.

* Safety now only kicks in at security 4+ for feeding or skirmishing. This change was made because it was too hard for humans to find vampire IDs recently. The main point of safety was to stop people getting 1000+ bounties from one accidental misclick, but security 3 slip-ups won't give that much anyway.

* Security cameras now grab identities of the intruder and add it to their list of recognised enemies, IF the area is private and owned by the person who placed the camera.

Increased ancient zombie exp reward to 40 (up from 30). Rather than make them weaker, as people have been suggesting, I decided it was better to make the catacombs generally the area to fight slightly stronger undead enemies, and have more mooncalfs available to fight.

Also, more enemies now spawn in the sewers, due to it taking 0.2 energy per movement, compared to the other grinding areas which take 0.1 for movement inside.

I'll be working on extra grinding areas for higher level people as soon as I can.

Earring of Whispers relic is now available in magic shops. This earring will send you an in-game alert whenever a new raid is spawned. Humans will only get alerted about human raids, and vampires will only get alerted about vampire raids.

Roleplay
The earring can be roleplayed as a relic which actually whispers rumours into your ear. It's sometimes faint and hard to understand, so don't roleplay it as being too powerful. Plus, it won't know secrets, it will only know about widely circulated rumours.

The 8th Dimension Mall, two blocks south-west of the Wickbridge station, has shops available to purchase.

It's a player-owned building, but all the money / karma from shop purchases gets eaten by the game, and doesn't go to the owner of the mall.

Deleted Vampires

vampnamehere (Deleted number) are being removed from the forum database little by little [its kinda of a long process to make sure we do not delete any non-deleted people and will prolly take me a week or so to completely remove them all]

If you find ANY issues concerning this on forum or grid please post a bug report asap.

The rituals Fortify Abode and Public House have been tweaked slightly. Fortify now requires an antique instead of zombified animal parts, while Public now requires zombified animal parts instead of an antique. The swap was made because Public House is a higher level.

I can also confirm that Public House now trumps Fortify Abode.

Human thralls can now only carry a maximum of 100 items. Trying to move when they are carrying more than 100 will cause them to lose 20 energy per movement. Also, you cannot give items to a thrall if they are holding 100 or more items.

The cost of restats (either powers or stats) has been lowered to 10 karma, down from 15. Restats are quite a big advantage, so I wanted to make it easier for people without tons of real life money to be able to get them.
