He objected to even touching her drink. She scoffed in disbelief. "This is ludicrous" she yelled in her native tongue. Nothing trembled under her fingertips and his voice was so clear. Like it was in her head. Sun looked around hoping her voice didn't stir a commotion. Covering her mouth she reached for her bag and pulled out her wallet to pay for the drinks she had for the night.
He had mentioned being able to do more and maybe it was the alcohol, but she really did want to know more. What other tricks as nifty as this one did he have up his sleeve. Pulling out a few bills she left them under her drink and waved the waitress to come and collect it. Once done she slid her bag over her shoulder "Let's go!" she rushed him as she stood up and made her way toward the exit door.
Sun wanted to see more, but she wanted to make sense of this madness. Why was he in her head so clearly. Opening the doors she felt the rush of cool air brush against her face sending her to recoil. She wasn't expecting it to be this chilly. She stepped to the side and waited for him to meet her outside. Was this even a good idea? Going outside with this stranger away from people where should be safe. "You are crazy Sun" she mumbled under her breath. Her arms wrapped around her as another wave of cold air brushed against her.

He raised his eyebrows as she said something in a language he didn't understand. Her native tongue he assumed, not that that helped him know what she was actually saying. There was a wide range after-all. He took in a final swig of his drink and took in a breath setting the drink down.
He heard her, she wanted to see more. His smile grew considerable as he stood up, all to happy to be rushed towards the door so he could show her the sorts of gifts that this city had given him. That his study, time, and effort had all brought forth. He heard he say something else as they were getting outside and the cold air hit them.
Segreti stepped back, a smile on his face, "I think you'll like this one." he crouched, and then he leapt. Well into the air straight upwards, enough that he could have easily gone over the building if he had been aiming too. And then he came back down, unharmed, his breathing only a result of his enjoyment of this.
He held out his hands, "I'm not done." he said. And then he was simply gone. Teleportation was not the cheapest of abilities for movement, in fact he discovered one that was easier for traveling great distances as well, though arguably less fantastical. He didn't go far. And only a few seconds later he reappeared. That was another vampire ability. Not one of a sorcerer. Yet both were his, by learning blood thievery that was indeed a power he now had at his fingertips "That, and more. I can give people energy at the cost of chi, I can throw people considerable distances, cast blasts of pure heat from my hands!"
This was something he was clearly enjoying. In spite of just how much he was throwing at her. He stepped forwards, "There is so much this city has to offer, but it can only offer it to those willing to take risks of living here. Just as I exist and am able to do these things, so to do many others. And many creatures. I don't mean to scare you, when I came here I was just another businessman, with a bit of a knack for the unnatural, but not a fighter. But I made it this far. I know this can be a lot to take in, so I'm gonna be quiet, and let you process, or ask questions, or whatever it is you decide to do."
A step back, and he folded his hands together in front of him. Waiting, still smiling, still breathing somewhat fast.

He didn't object to her request. In fact he seemed delighted with the fact that she wanted to see more. The smile didn't disappear even as he stepped outside. Sun stepped back and gave him some room for his next trick. His comments sounded cocky. Just when she was assuming it was a simple magic trick.
He crouched down and pushed himself off the ground with a force. This wasn't just a regular jump. Not a going to make the ball into the basket jump either. This had a force behind. This was one of those superhero show off jumps you see in movies. Sun caught her breath as he landed back down. Her hands clutching her bag just a little tighter than normal.
S*** just went down. People don't just do that. Human beings don't just go leaping into the air like they can freaking fly. His comment sent vibrations down her spine. He wasn't done. What more could there be? He extended his hand out to her and there was hesitation. You could see it in her eyes. Before her brain could register to back away her hand was already in his. In a blink of an eye the setting around them changed. They had teleported.
Before she could say a word he went on with a list of things that he was able to do. Why would you tell a stranger that. Why would he show her all this. The rumor mill was right and it just clicked. He wasn't human."This is ... crazy. What ... are you?" she said her voice down to a whisper. He gave her room to process everything. She thought back on their conversation. He wasn't a vampire. There was another term he used to describe himself.
A sorcerer.
Sun was just about to loose her s***. She slowly made her way toward a bus stop with an empty bench. " I just need a minute to sit down. I think the alcohol is getting to me" Slumping down onto the bench she looked at him then toward the ground. Her brain slowly rattling to make sense of everything.

He let out a little chuckle as he saw her response to what he had shown. He watched as she asked him what he was in a very quiet voice. He almost didn't want to answer, he'd told her, she need only remember. It didn't necessarily seem like she was afraid, and he didn't want to pull her out of thinking over things. She needed to process it.
She sat down on a bench, he breathed in, calming himself down, stepping closer, though not quite within reaching range, and sat down crosslegged on the ground facing her, "Alcohol can't make you hallucinate." he said, his voice had become far calmer, and quieter.
"I won't elaborate more just yet, I think you've heard enough right now." He said, as much as he wanted to. Each time he spoke he left time in between for her to think. So his voice didn't fill up her thinking, "If you aren't convinced now, give me a call tomorrow when the alcohol has worn off." he leaned over and set his card on the bench next to her with his number, he had a set with and without it just in case of times like this.
"Or, I could stay, and wait for you to decide. I learned about these things long before I ever came to this place. But not everyone can be as preemptive about it as I was." He said. And for now that was what he would do, until she told him one way or another. He wanted to share, wanted to tell her what he'd seen and learned, what he could do. But at the same time he knew not everyone could process it all at once, he hadn't, he had time, lots of time, and was seeking it out. All advantages to taking it in.

It was a lot to take in, but she found strength to collect herself and gather all her thoughts. She took a few deep breaths. It was all fine. So that city has some supernatural crap going on she could make it work. Sun could still make this her home. It wasn't going to drive her completely mad.
Even he said he wouldn't divulge more information. Antoni could probably see just what a toll all this information took on her, but it was possible she was doing better than most. She just needed more answers. " I think I'll be okay" she responded to him as he set his card down next to her. Slowly she reached for it and ran her fingers over the embossed letters.
It was now or never. Clearly she proved that all this information wasn't going to send her off screaming. Letting out a small sigh she looked up at him. "Look. I know you just met me, but If I could get anything out of tonight's madness... I would like a job" she said her eyes still on his business card.
"I am a quick learner, bilingual if you have any Korean clients, time efficient, and I won't cause any problems. Also I'm tech savvy in a sense." she added hoping any of her qualities would win her a job.

He smiled as she said she'd be fine. That was good. He still stayed quiet though, letting her take her time to process things. And remained. She'd taken this rather well for having not believed it just minutes before. That was adaptability. Some would just give up and go for now, and deal with it later. If they ever did. That was promising.
Then she asked another question, he cocked his head as he heard it. She clarified a little on her abilities. He wasn't sure how many korean clients he had, but he'd keep that one in mind. However, what else he'd seen had certainly been promising. He stood up taking in a breath and thinking it over, "I believe that's something we can manage." he said changing quickly.
"Those are useful traits to have, but you missed one." He smiled, "Momentarily freaked out or not, you handled this well. That's important. So much for just 'passing through' though hm?" he prompted the last bit jokingly reminding her of what she'd told him in the bar.
"Clerical position seems the most logical right now. Tech savvy, bi-lingual, and time efficient, are all useful there. What are you interested in? If you find interest in stage performances you could have a position in there, not acting unless that was something you got into, but it'd make it easier. If not there are more common organizational ones." He said, as much info as he dumped on her moments ago, this was nothing. He wondered if she'd explore the routes of powers as he had. Or would she simply observe for awhile.

She let out a sigh. Thinking maybe she ruined her odds when she had mentioned she was passing through. But when he continued she let out a small sigh of relief. "I was lying... about passing through. You being a stranger and all" she replied motioning to him with her hand. He would surely understand a young lady like herself in a bar alone. She had to be quick on her feet most of the time. "My name is Sun though" she admitted.
Sun was quick to answer his question. "Clerical will do just fine. What is the pay like?" she asked. She was ready to get out of the run down motel and find a nice place that she would be able to afford. Sun knew it wouldn't be right away, but it would be sooner than later she hoped. Of course she wasn't going to admit all that to the guy.
"Do you need a resume or something like that?" she asked. Not that she had one on had she was always just doing small odd temp jobs. A resume was never really required when she just floating by. She reached into her bag and pulled out a post-it and a pen. Jotting down her phone number on it she handed it to him. "My number." she said as she slid everything back into her purse.

He chuckled as she admitted to lying, though affirming her name as Sun. "Oh that last one I'd have gotten if you worked for me. But no worries, way I see it, strange man was staring at you, telling him you were planning to stick around isn't necessarily the best course of action." he said, taking her choice of lying as a matter of fact that just made the most sense.
She was up for the job, he nodded, "Good according to my employees, but, better I do because of employees, better I can pay. I'm trying to...test boundaries a bit. Unfortunately sometimes that results in a net loss, and I have to readjust again. I can take a hit here and there, and at least not drop wages except for after a temporary boost test back down to their regular, but consistent hits is bad for everyone." he realized he was rambling about things that weren't as inherently necessary for her to know, "Ah, sorry, useless information I imagine."
She asked if he needed a resume as well as gave him her number, now that he would indeed need. He looked at it repeating the numbers quietly for a moment along with her name. "A resume would be helpful, but don't over-stress it. They will ask you for a government issued ID though, for background checks and such. But you don't need to divulge all that to me. I mean...I'll probably know, but you don't need to tell me personally."
Not that a criminal background would inherently prevent him from employing her. However he would take it into account, after-all, he worked with criminals. Or they worked for him. That business however he kept well in the background, only loosely connected to him. He hadn't personally dabbled in it much in awhile. "The card has the businesses on them, you can call them directly for more information. I'll give them a call later to tell them about it."
Segreti Services
Segreti Showmen
Segreti Corp
And Segreti Trade.
He'd chosen to name them using his surname as it made it more manageable and since he started from the ground up using a personal name helped just a bit.

Sun nodded as he answered all her questions. She was certain that maybe later on she would have more but for now. What he gave her was enough. It was enough for her to start fresh. A small smile beamed on her face. She was glad she wasn't going to have to keep circling ads and making her way around the city to see if she was good for the job. This was a big weight off her shoulders.
" I really appreciate this Mr. Segreti" she said as she tucked the card in between her phone and phone case. The one place she knew she wasn't going to misplaced it. Sun felt a bit strange, being formal with someone she was just yelling toward, but something told her it was the polite thing to do.
"I'll be sure to call first thing in the morning" she added as she waved her phone. "It's a tad late for that now" she added. It was late. She wondered how time had flown around him. Tonight was enlightening and also... overwhelming. Reaching into her pocket she pulled out a hair tie and secured her wavy auburn hair in a bun.
Sun extended out her hand toward him. "It's been a pleasure, but I really should be calling it a night. I have to make it home in one piece" she added. It felt odd to her saying goodnight to a stranger. Usually she avoided people complete. It was easier that way. This was new to her and it felt soo odd.
