All in all, it's supposed to be fair, and we do have a lot more people interested and returning to the game. My suggestion would be, until/if this is fixed, is if you've already won one for the month on that character, let the rest go and allow others a chance.
I like this. I'm open to trying again and it does have to make sense IC for my chara to be on a team. I honestly inferred there was no point in trying when the same people keep winning. Why waste my time trying if I have no chance to get a team and learn? That was my problem, otherwise I would have been happy to try. I don't want this to be another case of the raids getting the same results time and time again, because then I'm not interested. Not meant to sound rude, if it did. ><

So, I went back to the Bug Report thread to respond, but since the discussion is happening here, I'll double post this here:

I propose that the cap on winning be reinstated.

I suggest the cap to be every other raid.

This way, whether raids spawn twice or four times a month, there will always be a chance at winning the active raid if you didn't win the previous one. This levels the playing field by putting a constraint on everyone's gameplay that is based on wins not on participation.

Everyone gets a chance to join any team raid with whatever character they want, but only those who actually win the active raid will lose the right to win the next raid. This way everyone can participate, whether they have won previously or not with that character: they can still get a run through / experience / participation points, but it isn't the same characters winning over and over.

I remember a time where I never got to do any raids because all the higher level chars got it done before anyone had the chance, over and over again. The reason the limits was put in. My circle of friends is small (Kira's is small). And don't get me started on the lack of raids for humans then. Not many humans have any hope of doing raids.

And we reported the bug but since at the time David didn't feel the need to fix it for reasons, there has been no one else doing them (which yes we would have stepped back if there had been), I went with it. I need the money and the xp. Things that I need to find something to write about with this place all take money (master path). While it's easy for some people to make money and get that 2mill, I do not find it easy. If someone has any pointers on what gets the most money I would gladly listen.

I would be happy to help Cliff go through a raid, as our team has a system with google sheets to make things smooth and easy, I don't want any wraith raining down on me. There's at least some kind of IC connection.

But I don't think you really need an IC connection to form a team of the people you need to win. I don't write anything about winning raids. Hell, start a thread OOC to form a team. Would make things easier.

I do like this. Waiting a whole month was always eh. It was always like, can I play again or not if you don't remember when you last won.

I take exception to that on the grounds of Crossing.

You don't need to write about a Raid taking place for it to be considered an in character event, but I do feel like this should be an IC venture wholeheartedly and not OOC.

There would be an element of OOC taking place in the context of teaching inexperienced members the mechanics of the Raid system, but I object to this idea that you are co-ordinating Raid Teams purely for OOC purposes. That is, by definition, Crossing. Is it not?

Well ok then ... First it sounds like you want to punish us for being able to communicate talk to each other and cooperate with each other and accomplish things .... OTHERS CAN DO THIS .... NO ONE IS STOPPING THEM .... To be honest we would More than welcome the competition ... Most times it takes us 2 days or more to win a raid ... Not the small time frame you are saying ... Where we see no one else in the raids back up down and sideways ... You say there are others trying ... When you are in and out of a raid for 2 days with wraiths and thrall and not see another single character other than your own team ....

Is it really unfair if everyone can do it has the same exact opportunity

We would still be doing the raids even if we could not win ... the loot is too good not to ...

So are we going to go back to the way things were because a few that are just guessing what is going on in a raid .... Last few matriarchs we have waited for a day for the matriarch to be killed .... after we reached the top floor

Some characters now have the abilities to do a Team raid all by themselves ... Does this mean that they by your standards are being unfair ...

This is a game where you start out weak and grow your characters to be stronger ... you start out alone and build relationships ...

When you are new you are not going to start out winning team raids ... or any raids

The incentive to be able to grow and build to do that has to be there it is no fun to start out winning everything easily ... The Challenge is to grow and do it and build those relationships NOT have it handed to you.

Do you forget there are gammer characters in this game and you just called every single one of them Cheaters

It stands and I'm not the only one. Thanks. And as an aside, please don't infer and take offense when there's a disagreement. Roleplayers should like to keep things IC as much as possible. Suggesting OOC solutions is exactly what Claire said. And citing gamers is only to use a group to justify your opinion when we aren't talking about gamers at all. <3

You cannot have gammers then ... without doing it OOCLY .... Either gamers do not do raids or they are cheaters if you hold to that .... It is not a its ok for some but not for others type of deal and that .... How do you manage oh this group can only do it icly and this group has no ic option ..... It just doesn't hold up or work for the Whole ...

Disregard then. You're shifting the focus to gamers when the whole discussion is simplified to the bug and the fact that we want EVERYONE to have a chance. I'm new to this. As a newbie, give me time to learn the ropes instead of jumping. If newbies don't get chances because people want to hoard, and it is hoarding, then that's not going to get people to stick around. That's what matters. The game is dying. We're all smart enough to see this. Point blank, I'm not having my chara magically know yours enough to trust them to have his/her back and personally, I want that IC relationship. I thought this was supposed to have a RP focus. Otherwise there's no point in me writing. I don't want to be a gamer. I don't want to hop into a group where I'm in because i was invited in and not my chara. I shouldn't be forced into that position just to get a chance. If this bug isn't addressed and fixed, I'll just sit back and let the same people win over and over. I prefer RPing.

I addressed what I wanted to address. If anyone would like to debate some more, hmu. I'm on discord and accept messages here. Cheers! :)
