His listened to Asia's voice, his eyes narrowing. His Sire? Family? Then you have a different definition of family then I do. In my experience family is only there to knock you down. Then deliver a few kicks for good messure while your down. They try to kill you and those you care for, the rage in him boiling plain for anyone to see, closing his eyes he takes a deep breath, in through his nose out through his mouth. When he spoke again his voice was calm, no trace of the fury he felt towards those that had attack him continously. then they are surpised when you systematicly kill them all. That is what I know of family. Let us hope that this goes better then the last time he breathed deeply again. Working to put the fury back where it belonged, neither of these beings had done anything to deserve it. I suppose I should appolgize, you were trying to answer my questions and have yet to do anything to deserve the anger I just gave you. That is how they would react, I am better then that. I will try to not let it happen again

The Necromancer remained sitting upright; his back a perfect line from hips to skull. He sat so perfectly still, in fact, that he could have been mistaken for a corpse if he hadn’t wet his eyes from time to time with a blink. Asia’s comments regarding their new situation - that they were now a family - made very little difference to his expectations, ambitions, and feelings. It was only when Asia instructed that they start to get to know each other, suggesting they bond, that a chill ran down his spine and he felt his ribcage tightening like a corset around his organs. Still, it was easy to ignore his own discomfort when there was something loud and oppressive and violent in the room beside him.
Iosif leant his body away from the Killer. The aquamarine of his eyes contracted to tiny rings around enlarged, frightened pupils. He balled his hands into fists and tucked them into his lap. He hadn’t noticed that he’d neglected to breathe in the last 3 minutes simply because his chest was hurting from the anxiety and he had yet to pass out from lack of oxygen. To put it plainly: Iosif hadn’t been expecting Skiff’s volatile reaction toward such an innocuous benefaction. Clearly, the two men had been raised by such drastically estranged cultures. In Skiff’s case it seemed as though love had been used as the carrot and the stick. In Iosif’s case, love was simply absent. Once again, the Necromancer felt pushed and pulled by these feelings to both pity and admire his brother in sinful blood. What he did, however, was not respond at all and only straightened in his seat when he felt that Skiff had calmed down.

She was aware that everyone had different views on family but she wasn't like most parents or even most sires that would leave her family to struggle. If she could help them, she would and yet here for little killer was building a rage within him that she wasn't accustomed to. Perking her brow as he seemed to be taking his frustrations out on her and inadvertently his sibling in this eternal world, she slowly stood up and spoke while keeping her voice so calm that one would think death was about to fall upon them all. "Then I suggest that you take the time to get to know us and change your views. You have been given a second chance to redefine you knowledge and experiences."
She took a single step forward to stand before the killer that was so bold to speak to her in such a manner. Out of the corner of her eye, she could see that Iosef was twice as uncomfortable as he was before and she felt for the man. Her eyes remained on the killer as she continued to speak in that deathly calm voice. "Apologies are nice but actions show sincerity. I am here to help you, provide you with any tools that you might need while also providing you support. I am a loyal person and honestly....I am not one to just leave, they leave me and yet things are fine. No one defines your life but you and if you want to live a life of rage, that is your prerogative."
As she finished her statements to Skiff and his attitude, she stepped towards Iosef and smiled. He was a necro and she knew that she would spend a little more time with him, helping him as necros were notorious isolates but she was a shadow so she could relate. She needed to learn how to help him relax. She held back her urge to run her fingers through his hair before she moved to take a seat between them on the couch. The words that flowed from her lips were back to being soft and kind. "Look, I get this is new, scary, and all happened over night but I don't want either of you to feel like you are alone. If you can't depend on each other, at least depend on me. You both are very different but that is what makes this adventure great. I want to be apart of that adventure."

Skiff's eyebrow raised a notch with her tone, a smirk crossing his face. She was trying to intimidate him. Not that she didn't have a right to be offended, for as he had told her she didn't deserve his fury. People had told him many times he had no self preservation instinct. He could tell he had offended her, leaning back he put his leg on his knee waiting for her to finish speaking. He knew he probably shouldn't open his mouth again, but that had never stopped him before
You are right, actions do speak louder then words, unless those words are rarely spoken. I don't apologize unless I am in the wrong, and I was. You didn't do any of those things I described, you are not at fault for my rage. I can only say that I must be out of it. Usually I am better at keeping it under control. My anger, rage, fury, what ever you wish to call it, is a part of me. I learned that in order to have any kind of life you need to move forward not in anger, but with purpose. So I use it for that, to achieve that which I set my mind to. Looking over to the other sitting quietly, giving him his full attention It seems I must apologize to you as well, it was not my intention to make this a problem for you. turning his attention back to Asia You will have my loyalty, I can give that freely. Trust though is earned also through actions, so on that I can only say we shall see. Do you believe that to be fair Asia? Skiff finished, keeping his eyes on hers. He really wasn't trying to piss her off, however he wasn't really a ..... people person. Hoping he got his point across he watched, he waited to see what her reaction would be.

Despite his own anxieties, the Necromancer felt that Skiff was sincere in his apology. There was true conviction in the Killer's words; strength emboldened by experience. Plus, there didn't seem to be any point in deceiving either one of them. Asia expressed that she required proof of his words, however. Iosif only understood people as far as he'd read in text books - and the majority of the books he read were focused on the anatomy - but he was able to make some insights about the pair of them.
Skiff had already confessed a tragic past, which had nurtured rage into a shield for his pain. A barbed-wire wall had been built between himself and the world, yet he had the wisdom to start cutting at those thorny binds and tear down that barrier. Asia had undoubtedly experienced her own share of pain, which had hardened her shell like boiled candy. Still, she wanted to trust and it was obvious that she held out hope for people as she'd ushered these two beneath her wing and sought to guide them. Iosif could empathise, but he still couldn't speak. Instead he shifted to gain some personal space, then forced a smile.
