Unfortunately, violence wasn't always the best option. Even if it was the one she was most used to. And was better at. But in situations like these where there were so many unknown factors, and if they were known, it meant they would lose, she really didn't see how they could succeed in it. Which is why she'd rather give someone else that choice. He agreed on diplomacy. Yeah, probably for the best. There really wasn't any conceivable way they could fight whatever it was they were dealing with. Or possibly...if they should.

Then came up the issue of who was supposed to do the talking. He didn't know what they were saying, though, neither did she. She sighed, "Kind of feel being a paladin would be preferable right now if this was fae." Mason muttered before shaking her head, "I'll do it. I'm not exactly...the greatest at it, but it was my clothes they tore off so...maybe I can be a little more of an influence."

He said something and she turned back to look at him before cocking her head. What were those? She hadn't noticed them until he said something but...there were these things just floating around them. It was rather...well disturbing. They hadn't touched them and she hoped they wouldn't. She also hoped that whatever it was wasn't going to be a threat to them. He asked if she could see them and she nodded, "Vanishing clothes, eerie building, creepy thief, nonhuman singing, now inky orbs. What's next."

She stood up shaking her, "Well let's hope that this 'ghost thief' isn't sending ink to kill us." walking up so that she'd be able to see the creatures but just away from being touched by those...orb things, "Excuse me, I seem to have lost my clothes. You wouldn't know anything about that would you?" she asked starting off with a rhetorical joke, "What is it you want?"

Well straight to the point now.

Ismael sighs in pure relief as she can also see these ink orb things, that means he hasn't truly lost it yet. But now he is quite in a predicament, he doesn't really want to move as he isn't the most agile of people and the orbs seem to have gotten in his way to get up there without touching at lease one orb, Ismael just rocks his feet and finds a place where he can stand properly as he says, "Yep that is a good idea, I'll just stay here and make sure that no one comes up the stairs. Yep". Ismael just rocks his arms slightly forward and back as he rocks his feet as he starts saying to himself, "God damn it you somehow got yourself trapped by orbs. Good job idiot".

As Ismael starts looking around in boredom he sees a not on the wall written in blood of, No Vampires. Ismael is slightly confused by this as he doesn't know why this is there.

As Mason closed in on the little girl and the Thief, the singing Thief has stopped its singing and 'looks' towards Mason and tilts its literally blank translucent face in an inquisitive manner as it screeched a loud and ear piercing tone. This began showing Mason visions from this beings sight. It shows from the eighth floor looking down onto the street, a mother and a daughter were taken into this building by a very aggressive man. The Spirit passed through the floor to see the man in the lobby and beginning to drink the life out of the mother as Mason would feel a strong maternal protective feeling swell from this vision as it guided the little girl away from the vampire. Later the spirit stole the clothes of the little girl and had the man chase it into the basement where it locked the vampire in there. Keeping the girl safe, but the girl wouldn't leave the area for some reason.

Now it seems to gesture to the little girl and finally speaks some words, very quiet and ethereal like, "Help her...She wishes to have...mothers...necklace". As the spirit continues, "It down stairs...with man...kill him...he's bad". The spirit using the clothing to gesture of the clothing to help actually gesture, it then continues, "I stay hereā€¦help girl". It states as it kneels back down and begins to sing again. Now finding its song as something sweet and not threatening.

Ismael stayed behind as Mason went to attempt to speak to the creature. However, as it looked at her with its...very abnormal "face" she did not recieve words. Instead a screech that had her clutching her ears and gritting her teeth in pain as she kelt to the ground.

A building, from above. Mother and daughter. Visions. She watched as the scenes it was showing to her unfolded. Felt emotions as the Spirit sought to prevent the man, a vampire, from taking the daughter as well as the mother. So it was protecting the girl, and it was trying to stop the man. Mason looked up as the vision ceased. As she knew what she was supposed to do. And it "spoke" to her. Clarifying what it needed her to do. "Then that's what I'll do." she said quietly nodding and turning around until she came to see Ismael again, "I think the spirits not the enemy. It...showed me. Something, kind of like a vision. There's a man locked in the basement who apparently killed that girls mother, and, is also a vampire. She wants me to kill him, take back her mothers necklace, and give it to her."

She looked at him and notices the No Vampires note as well, she narrowed her eyes at it. But said nothing. Just a year ago she might very well have done something like that. But right now she was a bit less judge-mental. Still very against vampires as a whole. Just...not that way.

She started to head downstairs, if she could she'd avoid the black orbs as much as she was able. But if they were related to the spirit, she assumed they weren't going to harm her. "If you'd come, maybe you could try and stop him if he tried to run away. Or help find the necklace. Or stay here if you just want to watch the girl."

She glanced back up at him, "I am going to kill if what she says is true. He may come back, maybe, but it's important that vampires know they can't get away with stuff like this."

She waited to see his answer before she'd start to head down again, intending on making her way to the basement.

Ismael just stood there through this, hearing the screech he holds his ears and crouched down. His head started to kinda hurt but he is more or less fine. He looks in to find his companion coming back, he just went back to rocking himself back and forth out of boredom. Realizing yelling 'What the **** was that!?' was less than appropriate with a child in the area. But he still wanted to as it is still leaving a ringing in his ears at the moment.

After some more looking around the black orbs seem to be lightening up in some areas. Ismael decided it would be best to get to a different area so his companion could get down, he snakes his way to the lower platform so he can let his companion into the stair way. As she begins to tell of what happened and what the spirit showed. First off, what the hell? Spirits can do that? And spirits exist, like ghosts? Now this just keeps getting weirder and weirder. But that's less than important, right now they have a vampire locked in the basement as it killed this girls mother. Damn that's just ******* cruel, Ismael doesn't say this out loud but it immediately pops into his mind. Vampires seem to just be cruel, not all obviously but still. The track record he has so far is not the best one.

As she started heading down she started talking about him either helping her with the vampire, finding the necklace, or staying with the girl. The answer spilled from his lips before he knew it, "I'm coming to help". He says this with a bit of gusto as he starts heading down with her. Sure Mason was a vampire and had plenty of experience in fighting, but Ismael can't just stand by as someone fights when he can still do something.

He said he was coming to help, rather emphatically actually. In spite of that it meant they were facing a vampire. So off they went. Down down down. "I'd complain about that we had to come up all this way, just to go back down. But in all honesty I'm more infuriated at the vampire in the basement." as they kept walking and she looked at the gun she realized something.

It sure was going to be hard to coordinate if they had to when fighting the vampire when she didn't even know his name, nor did she tell him hers. Though, given the conditions. It wasn't surprising that the two had never actually introduced themselves. In some slight desire to lighten the mood before potentially killing someone, something that she wasn't sure he had done before. Zombies were one thing, they looked very much dead. Vampires, while pale, still had human expression. And spoke. Perhaps not the ones you'd find in the sewers or quarantine. Feral vampires, masterless vampire, the kind so starved they barely were anything more then beasts. But this one had just fed hadn't he. And she didn't know how that could effect him. So she wanted to take his mind off it.

"You know you never introduced yourself to me. Probably because you were to busy looking at me naked." At first she looked over her shoulder pausing as if chastising him, then smiled while continuing to walk, "I'm kidding about that part. Don't worry, I understand. Though we still haven't been introduced. My names Mason, or Macy."

"In all honesty same. I hate stairs, especially with my apartment being on the fourth story". Ismael says this as for one thing, who cares if he was on the first or 5th floor, knowing the apartment complex is more important. The other is that it would ease the tension that would set in.

As they headed down Ismael companion brought up a good point, they never introduced. In somewhat a funny way, so it wasn't too bad as he said as both a compliment and a way to keep the fun rolling, "Hey what could I say. You took my breath away". Throwing an exaggerated shrug and head toss for good measure. He chuckles a little as he waits for her to introduce herself. Mason? Not the most feminine name, but Macy was definitely good fit for her. Ismael then says, "Well if we're gonna be throwing honorifics out the door, names Ismael. And if you feel like it Izzy is always and easy way to tell for me".

Izzy was a nickname for sure, just not one he would throw about, but right now the least amount of tension would be best. They were about to fight together with minimal equipment and little knowledge of each other. The best thing they can do is be able to trust each other as people and be in light spirits before entering a hard fight.

Ismael definitely needed this for himself, he was about to kill a conscious person, Someone who had proper feelings and had a will of their own. However he knows he was not gonna back down, he needed to take it down not only to give retribution for the daughter, but also to make sure others wont get hurt.

He agreed on the problem as they descended. Oh fourth story. Not that fun if you had to use the stairs. Exercise was all well and good, until it was solely to get to and from your room. Then it was just irritating. She had to chuckle as he responded to her joke in kind, well he could keep the mood at least. And then introduced himself as well, Ismael. That was an interesting name, hadn't heard it too often. Though it did sound familiar. Izzy though was also given as an alternative, she smiled and said delightfully, "Pleasure to meet you Izzy."

When they came out and started heading for the basement she paused before they actually approached the door, then looked at the gun. Then at Ismael in thought, "Maybe you should have this before we go in. If I go in with it I probably could kill it, especially if it hasn't gotten through this door yet. But...if it came for you. I don't know if I'd be able to stop it. And I'd rather I end up getting hurt and you are still alive then risk you getting killed."

She turned the gun around putting the safety on before holding it out to him with the magazines to see if he would take it, "I mean, only one of us is immortal here, naked or not. Besides, this way you can shoot it if I start losing? Besides, I do have a few tricks up my sleeve that work well against vampires, even if I'm no longer a paladin."

The vampire waited to see his response, if he would take the gun or not. She'd feel in danger without it, by instinct of course. But she didn't know just how much he could handle. And she didn't want to risk it.

Hey she seems to have taken it well and kept the spirit, "It's a pleasure to meet you as well, Macy". Ismael finds her nickname funny, it sounds extremely familiar to his nickname. Hehe, it would be funny to find another person that sounds similar to their names They could be called the Easy Three. Wait nope, that's bad, not good for reputations.

Well that's besides the point she was talking about something. Oh his gun, she wishes to give it to him. Sure he would like it out of nature but he would feel too terrible if he left Mason without a weapon. Ismael pushes both the gun and magazines back to her as he says, "Hey immortality and mortality means nothing if you regret something, and I would regret having you get hurt because you were unarmed". He said with a soft smile and a firm stance. He was dead set on not taking the gun back, she would need it in the end, after all he always had a weapon on him. His fists would be a bold statement, but would be the mark of an idiot to think you could take down a vampire with just your hands. He always carried a few knives and he was definitely more proficient with them than a gun, he just doesn't know how far it will get him.

He knows though if he told her any of his doubts she would force it onto him. So he keeps a calm and composed look with a light smile. He finally confirms his denial of taking the gun back with, "Hey I trusted you with my gun for this long. I feel like I should at least trust you with it until we can get your stuff back. After all leaving a woman unarmed would just be plain cruel".

He pushed the gun back at her and she breathed in, not that she needed to breath, as he explained that he'd regret if she was unarmed and got hurt. She looked at the gun as he explained. He was smiling and seemed quite certain about his decision. Even further confirming that because he'd let her have it this long he'd keep going. And made a joke about leaving a woman unarmed. She let out another quiet laugh, though still with some concern.

However, personally, she did want to keep the firearm. For her own safety. For efficiency. But she was still concerned. He was having none of that though, concerned or not, he was telling her to keep it. She nodded, "Ok. Thank you." she looked up at him for a moment before heading towards the door, taking in a completely unnecessary breath, and throwing it open to see who was inside.

If she caught sight of a vampire, as vampires could tell when they were seeing one another, she'd let loose a few well aimed shots at the vampires chest attempting to critically wound him fast. Vampires may be undead, but they bleed and die. Hurt him enough, and he'll die just like a human can. It's just harder to do.
