It used to be images were purged within a certain time period if they were not receiving at least 1 view every so often... I want to say that was changed? It would then depend on how long ago you had uploaded your images. You'd think they'd all be missing if it were several years ago. Sorry I don't have a definite answer.

We may be able to recover some of the blacked out squares. Post me some links to the ones which are problems, and I'll see if there's an alternative url for people to at least extract their images.

In the mean time, I could work on letting people upload their own square images directly to the server. That's only a few hours of work I believe. At least then they will be safe in future.

Tile upload has been added to the lair controls as an alternative. Both should work.

@David: Are you still going to try and recover some of the lost images?

a bunch of places, including the necropolis, have gone dark. so have avatars, etc... and I am sure this is why

seems like this sort of thing will just keep happening until/unless the site can 'grab' and store them all somehow at some point?

Not sure if this has already been reported but interiors of the Sanctuary have disappeared. Its like the shadow realm. A big nothing.

yeah, there are several buildings that have gone dark again. (& I moved your post to here.)

Most of the most recently affected building have been restored to normal
