This sounds like a fun idea!

I may be in, myself, but I want to know more about it before I fully decide.

On another note, I agree with all of what Claire has said, and I actually like her idea of The Dark Brotherhood type faction coming in, ngl. To me, a criminal faction coming in would have an interesting plot with it. That’s not to say that just because they’re criminal, they can’t have that whole ‘protect the community’ vibe. They can just do it for prestige and profit, or just to be able to be violent and blow off steam. (Sidenote: I love all the Skyrim references and now must play.)

Can we nominate people we think would be good to lead? ‘Cause I’d like to nominate Claire in. ;)

I'm easy on who leads. Also leaderless is fine.

Does the game has an assassin group still?

I'm going to create my character at midnight, and have a discord channel open for this faction. If anyone wants to join me in teamwork-nuking through these levels, come into the chat at 11pm UK time and we can plan out our strategy. No need to join a faction or have one created yet. But we might as well get started on minute 1 either way.

I like the leaderless idea. No one really in charge, everyone equal.

I don’t think there is an assassin faction, still, but I could be wrong.

Was it ever answered if it could be human and vamp, or are we looking at a vampire/human only faction?

Also, I’m not too keen on the leaderless idea. However, it doesn’t necessarily have to be played by anyone right now. It could be a shadowed figure, and that way, if this faction idea takes off past this event, someone could step into the role with their character to keep it going.

I know some don’t want to RP, and that’s fine, but I look at things from a story perspective always. That’s what interests me, so I like to build my characters around those ideas, etc. :))

I don't mind if it's a mixed group, honestly. If somebody steps forward to take charge of the background story, I'll go with what ever they decide. You have 3.5 hours! lol

As far as RP goes, that's up to you guys. I'll probably only be moving the character for this month, just to see how far I can get.

If I hadn't spent the last two days going to bed at midnight and waking late for work, I would totally be in on this at the very first minute!!!

So, unfortunately, I have to decline the offer. I'm actually going to bed right now, but before I go, I hope to express that I am totally up to leading if anyone would want to follow. I'm fully aware that I am not anyone's cup of tea and I really don't care, and I mean that in such a way as to mean that I won't take it personally let feelings obstruct a good plan for fun.

I'd also personally aim for the criminal element. This chaos is ripe for being taken advantage of and when playing darker characters, I notice that my boys tend to get assertive. So, even if they're not leading, they probably will act like they are.

I'm thinking about the kind of mercenaries that look to control the flow of cash in the city. That means targeting big businesses and government bodies, the press, and retail. At the lowest end of the scale, they probably handle simple phishing scams to extort money out of idiots. This could appeal to Hackers. There's room for a protection racket and assassination jobs too, as threats are pretty effective in causing fear and fear is a killer motivator!

It's probably one of those massive, shadowy organisations that is as old as time, but its newest tendrils are branching into new regions of the planet. They've finally come to Harper Rock with eldritch intentions... "Hail Hydra."
