As Aurelia listened, the woman gave a nod of her head. A businessman was respectable, and he clearly didn’t fear the undead. Her ice blue eyes took in their surroundings, her phone moving in slow movements back and forth as she searched. After a few moments of silence, the allurist said, ”I’m a lawyer. I practiced Criminal law for a few years, but have recently opened up my own firm here in Harper Rock.”

It was doing decently, in her opinion. The modest change in her income was something that Aurelia didn’t mind - she had her home and had been well off to begin with. The von der Marck family was esteemed and she carried herself well. ”Perhaps you can give me some pointers, business owner to business owner?” She suggested as she lifted her eyebrow.

A lawyer? Now that was an interesting job. And a potentially very difficult one. That's just the job itself adding onto that studying for years for it, which was on its own some trouble. Charles might not have been a studious person in regards to the law, but that didn't mean he couldn't respect those who were.

In spite of both telling what he did and hearing what she did, he was still glancing around for the tome she mentioned. And occasionally to her as either of them spoke, or up to be aware of the surroundings.

"Pointers?" he repeated chuckling, for a moment he considered saying he really wasn't worth it before humming to himself and nodding his head, "Well, I guess I can the little of what I know. Advertising is almost the most important thing, as long as you can provide what you promise or close to it, then things will only get better. Internally of course keep staff paid well and don't treat them badly, but, part of that is more decency. You can overpay of course, it's best to get an accountant if you can't or don't have time for all the funds consideration yourself."

He paused for a moment though he did have more to say, "Um, but what's very important is reputation. People need to know and trust your services, one without the other is useless. And with some effort you can recover from most other losses as long as you have good reputation among enough people. But that's really about all I can give you. I don't know diddly squat about being a lawyer, so I really wish you luck there. Seems like a tough job."
