I'll say that, as of right now, TWD game you had on your server is still a real contender for my favorite game of yours so far >>

But this one sounds like it might take the cake. I'd love to see it, honestly, and Josh, while you might think those are the wrong things to focus on, a lot of rpg's are make or break on character customization and race/class/ability choices. So you've probably hit the marketing nail on the head. <.<;

But yeah, I'd love to see this be a thing.

TWD: Survivor Stories is still on the server. I just haven't worked on it due to a lack of player participation, really. A small handful isn't enough to make it worthwhile.

I know. >.>

Small handful makes a 100% rp based game hard to play, too. xD I really liked the concept, though. Not sure I've ever seen another quite like it, though I'd never really thought to look before.

I love the idea of original monsters and species.

I think that aspect would draw in players who are looking for a very original, and immersive universe.

Personally, I think I'd get the most fun out of working with people to create a town, filling it with unique NPCs, and the above mentioned dungeon raids. >.> Because who don't love a dungeon raid?!

Plus I love the resource management aspect, as it highlights the use of character types that I don't think get enough spotlight in games like this.

PLUS WRITING POTENTIAL!

In other words, it's got just the right amount of all the best stuff. >.>

And I feel like a game of this nature could pull it all together really well. It could be a real team building experience.

And originality is a very big plus. Keeps things from being too repetitive, or feeling too much like another game or their monsters. I especially like the idea of being able to give a monster its own name. That sounds super cool, and coupled with the ability to make your mark on the map through your own work, or the work of your group, that makes you feel like you really have a real impact on the game. Though there might have to be some censoring with names there, depending upon your target audience. xD

And speaking of the writing potential... would it have its own forum, as well? That would be good for writing potential and/or sharing your characters' stories. And with a game like this, I see the IC world chat being much more active than Path's. >.>

Yeah, an RP forum is a must for this kind of thing, really.

Agreed, but I can never be sure everyone thinks the way I do. >.>

I do that, and it turns out I'm somewhere off in left field while everyone else is standing in the end zone.

It's why we all keep on him on a leash.

I really love this idea.

Well, while this wouldn't be like Path when it comes down to it (no chapters, more graphical, javascript-based, player-made world, wildly different NPC combat [more similar to old roguelike games]), it's safe to assume that things like roleplay, gaining experience and the general grid mechanics style of the game would be similar. So it's not that much of an assumption to make.

With this kind of thing, the game does appeal much more to gamers, because of the unlimited energy and the loot and world building. But things like this can appeal to gamers more, while also having a really solid roleplay scene, for sure. Even live roleplay would be more possible, because I'd probably add alerts that updates synchronously every X seconds, letting people speak and have it pop up on one another's screens without moving or refreshing.

I like that you all let me waffle on about my ideas and read said waffling.

Lol, well of course!

Especially when they're good ideas. >.>; This one does seem particularly interesting though. Definitely feels like it'll have a lot of room for a larger player base / character pool. That's always a big plus for me. :D
