Adding a note: Some characters owned by the same player seem to have their retaliation code triggered when a different character on the IP is attacked. Not at all sure what is causing this just yet, but I'm going to be digging into it as soon as I can (or David, if he gets back from his mini-vacay before I get the opportunity).

I'm wondering if this is related, but Charles attacked someone at a later date (not with dark theurgy, normal attack by pressing the cross), and somebody just showed up to defend them, I don't think they were there before and I'm wondering if this is because the mess up is still effect me or if I'm just crazy and didn't see them nearby.

The person he attacked was Harry, don't remember the person who showed up and defended him though.

Weird. I got no alert of that... :|

Huh, lol. So when (and why?) did you attack Harry? He's been in a team raid all night. Also, the only ally he has listed is Alexandrea so I can't imagine who might have been pulled in... O.O

I imagine someone else has him listed as an ally, since he doesn't have to have them listed for them to defend him.

He tried to pick Charles pocket. He actually tried to pick Varo Ricci's pocket to, but I wasn't gonna attack with both because that seemed unfair and might be against the rules. So just went with whoever found him first, if at all.

I later happened to find him and figured, well Charles probably thinks he's tough enough, it'd make sense for him to try and attack someone to make sure they didn't do something like that again. It's not the first time he's done that, though I think the last time was purely in role-play.

Just curious... ;) Do you have your guys attack everyone who fails at robbing them?

and still wondering WHEN did this happen, please? And any other details for the bug report could be helpful, thank you. :)

Hmm, Lockland wouldn't. Patrick....may or may not. Varo Ricci I'm still not sure of. All the soldiers kind of made my characters a little more violent and defensive though.
03.28.18 Harry tried to steal from you, and you caught them!
Now just now I did use Patrick to read his memories to be sure about the time, I won't do anything else with him IC about it just wanted to be sure. Since that didn't harm him and wouldn't help any of my characters thought it would be fine.
03.29.18 You were skirmish attacked and wounded by Charles Crafter (human)!
That's what time Charles attacked.

Yeah, I see it now. I guess I just must have missed it when I looked for it myself and when it happened. It happens, lol

Wish you could recall WHO was pulled in, lol.

& I may be mistaken but even if there was someone who had Harry listed as an Ally, and their AI offline settings set to defend allies and teleport with them, it still wouldn't explain them just teleporting TO him like that. Unless I have misunderstood how that's supposed to work?

So Dark Thingy aside, pretty sure it's a related bug.

If it happens again could you please *try* to get a screenie and maybe highlight the page to look for hidden code barf too if you could?

Yeah sorry about that. I'll try to make sure if it happens again, though I don't think any errors popped up, just (Name) rushed to defense of Harry. I wish that would show up in alert logs but for whatever reason it doesn't.

I'm assuming this issue would be fixed if I just make it so that offline AI doesn't apply when somebody uses Dark Theurgy? So that nobody rushes to defend anyone when they are attacked from a distance using this power.

Anyway, that's what I've done for now so I'm hoping that's a fix all for this problem. Let me know if I misunderstood.
