Alright I'll report it once I can think of how to conglomerate the information properly and have the time.

Honestly, it went a lot better then expected. (Kind of an estimate) but I've hit one of them three times, and another one maybe five, and I don't know about the one with the bug. It took them a good while before they started actually reaching me.

It's official, the mastery sorcerer's power is a glorious weapon of destruction. Avoid them and fight at the same time.
At least in my opinion. I only just now got to actively use it so I'm pretty pleased with it.

Azraeth wrote:Yeah, that is probably a bug then. Go ahead and bug report it? David will need to confirm, as he's the one who designed the territory battle system, so he's the one who knows the specific ins and outs.

Be sure to include as much information as possible.

Also, taking on a faction solo is pretty ballsy XD I don't suspect Charles Crafter is going to be able to win in a 1v3(+?) fight with his levels/stats, but good on him for trying.
charles should have easily won. lightning bolt allows him to hit everyone on the other team, without every getting close enough to be hit back.

what i am still trying to figure out is how he was able to cast 5 lightning bolts, the character does not have the ability to cast 5 skirmish bolts in one day... yet he cast at LEAST five, and possibly more. That is the biggest bug.

however the problem is that territorial battles are designed off of the skirmish systems. As skirmish was modified on grid so that you cannot kill someone that does not want to die, pc vs pc territorial battles cannot be resolved in under 12 hrs.

posting again so that this is separate....

he would have easily won, as lightning bolt uses no anima in a skirmish situation.

Ok so I saw people say something about that in chat but only glimpsed at it. I assumed all offensive powers took no anima in faction battles, is that just the case for lightning bolt? (I didn't use anything offensive but lightning bolt so I don't know)
Sorcerors apparently have huge advantages in combat then IF they have the mastery power, but then again, I guess that makes sense for almost any combat mastery power.

So if lightning bolt legitimately takes no anima in faction battles, and that bug where I couldn't attack that one guy didn't exist, as long as I kept up what I was doing, victory was almost a certainty...except for that I left because I didn't want to have to fight pointlessly because it was impossible to win with that bug.

Well darn, now I feel kind of sad I didn't wait until the bug was fixed to finish the battle.

On the upside, Charles is officially a freaking beast in skirmish's unless he runs up against a telepath with mind block.

Why should a power take no anima to use? In what world does that make sense?

Mod Note: Moved to bugs as the use of Lightning Bolt with 0 Anima in Faction Battles is a potential bug.

Okay, so Lighting Bolt was not costing any anima in skirmish - that bug has been fixed.

Is the skirmish attack counter still broken? Can someone test this?

If yes: Then I'll change the title to reflect and set an appropriate level.

If no: This can be archived.

the problem with lightning bolt is that it never uses anima, dont matter where you are. i bought it and tested it, fired lightningbolt around the world and used no anima. the problem with territorial battles is not a bug per say. they were never coded to be pvp, they are set up to fight npc. This proven and report over on blood. I believe some changes were made but has been months since i was in one over there. We just figured out how to fight within the given parameters. i dont think any of the changes were brought to path, but not positive. If charles had not fled, and had not had unlimited lightning bolts, the battle would have lasted til 12hrs and 5 minutes after the first hit on charles, assuming that the code is same here as it is in blood.

Is lightning bolt still not using anima? I thought I fixed that today.
