Just as she was starting to turn she caught something from the corner of her eye, maybe it was a hunter's gift to catch something adrift, that wasn't right, but sure enough, a young one who didn't know their place probably someone who was just fresh off the market newly embraced. Perhaps it was time to teach this young pup a lesson on who to mess with? Or maybe she should just keep moving along and acting like she didn't see it? At least she was able to handle such creature with hand to hand much less with a firearm, seeing how her newly created sword decided to call it quits on her. "Like I said, Ripper, if like that wasn't enough, it seems that we have company and if you think I'm going to back down because of some young lick you better think twice on that. I've been taught well enough to keep my grounds." She too was about to do some maneuvering on the lick that was coming closer and closer.

His head jerked around at the sound of his own name being spoken. So she knew who he was after all! Had she just been toying with him before? Her behaviour spoke as one who might be perceived as trying to lull him into an attack of opportunity from a misplaced sense of ease beguiling him to unsuspectingly lower his guard down. This addressing of him directly might have merely been a slip up; or it could also possibly indicate that this hunter had now decided to set aside any pretence of subterfuge and now was planning on getting fully down to business and ridding the world from the presence of ‘licks’ or ‘leeches’ as they referred to them. What’s more, she was now advancing on them both in a manner which spoke of martial training in their background, although her movements in it were not as carefully honed as those whose experience had been sharpened by coming in through the long side of several pitched battles.

All these calculations and more were made on the fly in a frame space spanning only a few brief seconds of time. The fledgling in his arms still thrashed wildly; if he let her go now there was just as much of a chance that she would attack him instead of the woman who had dropped her sword. There was still the human’s life to consider as well; but Ripper was reasonably sure of being able to separate the two in time if need came to be called for it. This would at least be the best way of ‘probing’ her defences if everything worked according to base fortune.

“My apologies.” the vampire drawled evilly. “I should be affording you the proper respect that is obviously reserved due for one of your talents and abilities.” And, squeezing the other vampire once tightly in a bear hug, he opens up his arms to let go of the young feral allowing her to drop several inches down to land on the ground.

It was a blur. At the speed she was moving, anything untrained would have never spotted her movements as soon as she leaped out. But in a flash, something reached around her like a vice. Something between a howl and a growl split the air as she clawed at the arms around her. He shifted to keep her from turning on him and his grip only tightened. Words passed between them but hunger was more important than anything the blood-sack had to say. Something changed in her captor's face, something slight and before the demon could piece it together, snow rested beneath her palms. It understood one thing: the elder was letting it hunt. There wasn't anything moral left- nothing couth and no hesitation. The animal sprung forward on all fours and pounced straight for the human's chest.

It is a good thing that she knew how to fight against Vampires or she would have been dead long ago. As the blur came closer to her she picked up a slight movement behind her as well, and at that moment, it was just a given second perhaps from the gods above were watching down on her, formerly nun with the holiness guiding and protecting her she was able to sidestep and whatever it was behind her, may possibly be the intended target. There was something uneasy coming from this Paladin that would even make Ripper feel slightly uneasy.

She landed right passed the target, the teeth that were meant for her prey's neck hitting face first into the powder. It was deep enough not to hurt the blood-lusted creature as it spun around in a flash. Something was off about this human. The young one knew that, felt it. But it knew not better, was not keen to telling one human from another. The beast had not been born long yet the body slowly arose from it's crouched position. Standing completely upright, Katalina was little over five feet and to most people looked like a tiny mongrel but something was wrong. Her gaze seemed to focus on the human yet she did not move. The darkness around them seemed to lean in closer as if listening to some unspoken language. A shadow slithered along the ground from where the church had cast it, past the male vampire and gripped at the Paladin's ankles and slashed out for the human's face.

The pitched blackness that followed shortly there after wards set suddenly upon them all with an ochre gloom like that of a candle being snuffed up in a room or taking a dimmer switch and turning the shadows down to 11.

As a being already made from darkness in through its very essence, this creature was not made any more invisible (or less) invisible while surrounded by this element than it had been previously when ‘they’ had first noticed the female approaching. Keeping in much more closely to the action than where his alter ego had stood when things around them still held faint traces of illumination, he begins to stalk behind the human loudly enough to produce audible foot steps and scrapings while opposite sides his counter part mirrored this behaviour in the vicinity around the other combatant.

It was quite clear to this Vampire that the paladin was very hard to feed on and quite a challenge to the both of them the young licks are much stronger because they can't focus on the new power that was bestowed upon them and all they could think about is blood, all they could see was blood. Faith had begone to wonder if this Vampire was a mistake or its teacher would have taken the time to set it down and explain their ways or perhaps the teacher was careless and didn't know anything as well and decided to use it as an experiment either way fate lied in both their hands now.

She notices that the creature had stood still long enough but what was she doing? she notice something moving along the grounds and before she knew it they grabbed onto her ankles, and that's when Faith decided upon the call of the Lord and using the cross sign on her chest making sure that the Vampire would see it and possible click for a moment in that wild young's eyes or mind if it wasn't too foggy but if it was able to stop and pause a moment to conjure up a power perhaps it was this time that the Vampire could see what this Human really was.

As the shadows lashed out at Faith slapping her across the face. Faith spoke up. " It is best that you leave now the creature of the night or GOD will have his wraith cast down upon you ten times fold for even considering harming a hair on one of his warriors!" Her voice was demanding very strongly in hopes to convince the creature to think otherwise.
