He connects himself to a wi-fi source, and he might as well be a potted plant. Svetlana comes by every day to feed him and he'll never have to leave the bed.

There is a Blake still lurking about the city if Marjani remembers him/her? Rarely does she leave her residence in the tree but she's usually there reminiscing of better days and letting her mind wander and check in on people. There isn't really a reason for her to be out and about anymore, at least in her mind, given that everything that Blake has ever been worked for has pretty much gone the way of the dodo.

I think Blake was a guy, when guy Mari met him/her.
But she'd definitely remember the name. And understand how Blake is now a she. Heh.
