Looks like we have gone into OVERTIME! Things are just beginning to get really good with tensions very high in the end chapter thread.
I'm going to be extending the thread's time limit through the weekend at least to give the key holders time to wrap things up.

This has been extended again! This time, I'm setting the end date at the end of February, which should give people more than enough time to wrap things up.

Chapter 7 has reached its conclusion. The decision was ultimately left in the hands of a human character (ironically enough). David and I will be posting more about the results of Chapter 7 (aside from the expanding of the rift) shortly.
Stay tuned for those, as well as possible hints relating to Chapter 8!

The very first and most immediate results of the chapter begin to take shape shortly after Theodosia is fed. Zombies and other undead begin to arise in significantly larger numbers inside of the Quarantine Zone, after the ancient vampire replenishes some of her vast stores of power.
From there, the number of undead only continues to climb every day from February first onwards. Now it is March first, and the rift has visibly expanded. Zombies no longer only spawn inside of the protective walls of the Quarantine, but also in all surrounding districts, in larger numbers than before.
The citizens of Harper Rock are scared. They lose the ones they love, those who are closest to them, and only moments later, have monsters with the faces of their loved ones trying to harm them or feed on them.
Numerous business owners have been forced to abandon their shops, and people are evacuating Harper Rock in larger numbers than ever before. While still far from a full scale panic, the people of Harper Rock largely blame these recent troubles on their Vampire counterparts, which has impacted the relations between humans and vampires.
You will notice the above mentioned changes very shortly, specifically to the NPC spawn of zombies in areas surrounding the Quarantine Zone, as well as the relationship slider.
There may be additional results in the near future, though we felt these ones would be felt first, and felt strongest.

Starting from
here there are several news articles giving a timeline for events related to the end of Chapter 7 and its consequences.
There are also several new rumours which can be stumbled upon by characters walking around in certain buildings (clubs and bars). All of these little details have been added in an attempt to give people plenty of things to react to, from a variety of different sources.
You will likely see more in the near future!

A new NPC called the Theodosian Mooncalf has been released around the rift.
These NPCs are essentially Greater Mooncalfs, but much stronger - stronger even than Mooncalf Titans. They give better EXP than the Mooncalf Titan, and have a few decent drops.
They can be roleplayed as having been tainted by an extremely dark and powerful aura. For most characters, this aura will be a mystery. What sets these mooncalfs apart from others is not only their strength, but also their intelligence. They do not stare with dead, glossy eyes, but seem to be alert, aware, and may even appear to estimate their opponent's moves in advance.
These creatures are essentially all thralls of Theodosia, and monitor the area for her, helping to not only keep tabs on the growth of the Rift, but everything else going on in Harper Rock. They are extremely dangerous, but do NOT seem inclined to attack anyone, vampire or human without provocation. However, when pulled into combat, they are lethal save for against the strongest of opponents.

Five new random events have been added, which reflect the current atmosphere of the game, specifically related to: Undead in the streets and the spike in criminal activity following a gradual decrease in human population due to the expansion of the rift.
You can expect to see a few new daily dilemmas popping up as well, potentially over the next few days. This will especially effect people who run illegal businesses.

Regarding Theodosia:
Theodosia is currently 'in the wind' for all practical purposes. While it can be assumed that she resides in her throne room deep in the Labyrinth, nobody currently recalls how to get there, and even if they could, doing so would be a perilous journey, well protected as she is by her knights.
She cannot be appraised and cannot be tracked.
Currently, the only ones who can reach her are those who aided her in Chapter 7, though she will only respond under certain circumstances. Such as during chapters (I. E. Only site plot related events), and will almost never appear in person, but is inclined to carry on a telepathic conversation.
Those who are not telepathic may contact her through her Theodosian Mooncalfs (in roleplay).
She will participate in later chapters, and may thus increase the pool of those who may contact her, though again, only under certain circumstances (as she tends to be very self-involved).

Okay, so we have a few final chapter impacts for the grid, which have been referenced in articles, rumours, and random events (in some cases).
They are as follows:
- Legal businesses now give lower profits than they previously did. This is to reflect the hit that businesses are taking now that a number of citizens are evacuating the city (which has caused economic flux due to lack of legal employment etc. Illegal businesses are unchanged.
- Increase in criminals (Gangsters, thieves, etc), to reflect the spike in crime and criminal ventures.
- Decrease in the number of humans.
- More soldiers on the streets
- Barriers set up at all of the roads leading out of the city (though the squares are traversable. They are merely security checkpoints to make sure no dead are being taken out / walking out.
- A new zombie policing unit has been added (More details below).
- The gate of the QZ has been removed at 26, 19. It is still a check point in character, but doesn't really do anything to stop transit.
The zombie policing unit can be joined by visiting the Militia Captain at 26,19. Additional plot roles may be available to those who belong to the militia in future chapters.
This NPC can also be used to sell zombie ears for a pretty tidy profit.
The following is roleplay information pertaining to the zombie policing unit:
The North American Deanimation Unit was formed to combat the out-of-control zombie threat in Harper Rock and surrounding areas. It is a joint taskforce, which includes some troops from the USA, and Canadians (making up the bulk of the force) trained to deal with the handling of dead bodies and the fighting of the undead in general.
NADU also created a militia army division of their unit, which accepts volunteers willing to help with containing the zombie threat. The militia are given basic training in the event of an outbreak, and are told to hunt down zombies for cash rewards.
The division currently goes largely unchecked, as desperate times in Canada call for increasingly desperate measures. As such, NADUMA personnel have already mistakenly shot dead several humans who they assumed to be the shambling undead. However, the militia have been fairly effective, and very few zombies live long enough to cause any harm to humans.
The group do a fairly good job with handling the recently deceased, and burning their bodies before they can rise once more, and it's this swift action that has prevented the entirety of Harper Rock from needing to evacuate.
Expect possibly a couple more news articles, otherwise this is about it for the chapter results! I can't wait to see these changes reflected in the writing. <3!
