Given humans kill their own kind, your point is invalid. And humans get far more creative and devastating with thier killing.

I'm not sure about that. If you were there, you would have a different perspective of the genocide that went on.

Uh.. Nazis ring a bell to you? How about the genocides in Africa? Terrorist bombings? Those are going to be far worse than what ever was wrought at that facility.

By your own words, no one should trust their own kind - human or vampire alike. If you want to live like that, be my guest, but it's a pretty poor existence.

Actually, that would be the humans given they have a tendency to kill anyone that isn't just like them. You know... skin color... religion... ethnicity? ;)

I'm not sure what else you would have expected.

Humans --and thusly, vampires-- have a natural fight or flight instinct (though, perhaps the flight instinct being rather muted in the vampire race). The flight option, however, kinda goes out the window when backed into a corner.

What happened last week just screamed a game of cat and mouse. This time, the vampires being the intended mouse.
