Kill it with fire. As much fire as possible burn it to the ground with so much intensity it looks like it was attacked by a volcano.

Kira will be the only one I'm going to RP with.

Against. Simply because it can be forced on all vampires, who are happy the way they are.

ON THE FENCE

Bjørn has been a vampire too long to go back. He has no interest in becoming a human again, though he doesn't believe in taking away that opportunity from someone else. That said, he'd fight hard for it not to fall in the wrong hands, and wouldn't want it to be weaponised, at all. While he wouldn't want to take the choice away from someone else, he also knows that the nature of people will make it very, very difficult to safeguard. He could be persuaded to destroy it, should it come to that.

Charlie likes to think things through. Vampirism was a cure to an unavoidable death, but becoming human has a nice ring to it too - she misses tanning without the side dish of searing pain. Truthfully, vampirism has given her strength and the ability to fight off the things that killed her. Even if she returned a human and trained really hard - retained her skill, she'd struggle to measure up to her potential as a vampire. It doesn't seem worthwhile. Nor does it seem right to take that option away from someone else whose life has more value when they're human. As a victim of violent and sexual abuse, she is all too aware of there being people who did not ask for vampirism, who deserve to be cured. A proficient hacker, she's likely to seek as much information as possible before falling on any side of the equation. She'll be heavily influenced by family too, particularly Jesse and Sol.

AGAINST

Mackenzie is a blood thief using vampire blood as an alternative form of chemotherapy. She wouldn't want the cure to take root and kill off her med supply. She's also fascinated by the wealth of diversity the world has to offer (supernaturally) and sees little value in trying to destroy it. In her words, if you think vampirism is a disease, try cancer.

Abel Riese is all about that bass. He's been dealing in death as a child - the Riese legacy is one of death. Not only does he benefit financially from vampirism (setting up fake funerals for vampires to put a good end to the chapter), but he exists as a pacifist. There are ways for vampires to survive without relying on human blood - consensually or not, and he believes that with a little effort, there can be some resolution. His Jewish background also makes him very, very perturbed at the idea of ethnic cleansing. He'd rather see it destroyed, but maybe not before giving the chance for some to turn back if they so wish it.

FOR

Gretchen thinks that turning these fuckers back to human and killing them once and for all, is pretty damn good deal. It's a no brainer for this dual-classed paladin. Weaponise. Make the first bullet a humanising one, and the latter a fatal one. Make vaccines for humans that can sicken any vampire who feeds on them. Give the cattle the power to weaken those that pry on them.

ON THE FENCE

RIKKI relies on logic and reason to base her decisions, and at this point in time, lacks the understanding of both the vampire population and the cure to take a stance on the issue. While she has encountered more than one vampire, the majority have given her no reason to fear them, but there is always an exception to the rule. Due to her knowledge of experimentation in scientific research, she isn't quite sure how she feels about knowing vampires are being used as test subjects, when there is countless possibilities of adverse reactions. On the same hand, she is aware that not all vampires may have chosen that lifestyle, and may seek a means of returning to their former lives. For the time being, she will be keeping a close eye on the situation, and eventually may choose a side.

AGAINST

FLYNN is a Paladin, but his philosophy greatly differs from several others of his class. A 'live and let live' kind of man...he has seen firsthand that vampires are more than capable of maintaining their humanity, despite their shift in lifestyle. However, that is not to say that he will not do what needs to be done in the face of a vampire who has lost that humanity, and act only out of instinct, violence, and rage. That being said, a cure could pose any number of dangers, especially if it were to be weaponized as a means of eradicating the vampire population. He sees little chance that the cure would be used for its intended purposes if it is completed, and will fight against its completion.

Okay! So I have officially arrived at a stance for my boys:

Az is going to be against the cure for reasons stated here.

For the moment, I'm going to be focusing on his activity and involvement. I find when I try to get too many characters involved in an event or chapter; it sort of muddles things for me, and I end up giving less and less of my time and attention than if I focus in on one.

I may get one of the other boys involved at a later date, if necessary, or if I have the energy/time for it. For now Whit remains neutral, and will be acquiring information.

As far as chapter impact thread things are concerned, I am going to post as often as I can with Azraeth in the thread linked above, and any subsequent threads. I would love to be involved in plots against the cure with him, and I'm comfortable with forum posts, and especially live chat posted on the forum.

I'd be keen on playing him with existing friends, family, and allies, as well as new potential allies. I don't even mind playing him against potential enemies for the sake of conflict, if need be. Whatever the case, I'm happy to talk plot.

Really looking forward to having fun with this! <3 <3!

For anyone whop needs to know.

Miss Zodiac's stand atm is against the cure. This is not to say she would not consider using it for herself if that were a possibility. The cons of such a thing being allowed in government hands, let alone the remaining paladins and whoever else, outweighs the pros.

If by some wild and amazing luck she found herself holding the cure? I imagine she would do her own research on it in private and not tell a soul she had it. Once she was convinced it worked she'd probably use it. There is a calculated chance the remaining formula and research would be destroyed afterwards. A totally selfish move considering her normal helpful natures, but who could she trust to hand this over to and not start the entire argument all over again would be the million dollar question.

Might as well:

Charles Crafter: Mostly neutral, presently sees it as Potentially good, absolutely sees it as a way to make money or allies.

Patrick: For it, within reason, like Alexandrea mentioned force feeding it would put him against it. But for the most part he's all for it.

Varo Ricci: Well he's presently in the shadow realm because of it lol. He is ABSOLUTELY for it. With the issues he has he would much rather be human then vampire, so the chance to become human and he'd quickly go for it.

Jason Ford: New character. Ehhh, he's sort of for it as an option. He wouldn't want it force fed, but not because of the individual rights of any vampire, mainly because he sees vampires as a sort of necessity. But, he's a bit crazy, so...

Habren - against the cure, unless its being offered as an option to those who want it. As old as she is, she would never choose to willingly take it. For peace.

Yekaterina - dead against cure, will accept peace as the most pragmatic decision. She was angry at being turned at first as it was not her choice, but vampirism has removed most limits for her and she believes vampires are far superior. For someone as sadistic and sociopathic as she is, she would never go back, she's too addicted.

Stefano - would likely see what Aura thought. If he could go back to human, he would, but only if she came with him. Generally for the cure, for peace.

Leonie - human and likely against the cure, unless Alaric deems it a good thing. Always for peace.

Lydia - she's far too new to understand what's going on, but she'd likely choose to go back to human. And for peace.

Mine actively involved so far and their rp'd stance.

INDIGO

For peace. It is one of her middle names. For the choice if there was a cure out there. Forcibly using it? Absolutely not. She would want it for those who were denied the experience of freely choosing as she was given the option to do. Sweet Indigo. She is all about peace, don't worry and be happy. Sorry, No one said her poptart ever fully toasted.

BALTHAZAR

Against the cure. Willing to play nice with his food sources though. He is relatively new, hasn't seen a fadebeast yet or that massive monster running through the city but chances are he would believe that the power he is coming into is the best thing that has ever happened to him.

ESLI

For the cure. Against peace. Blood thieves are also on his no fly zone list. He is comatose at the moment but still on a mission. He wants to get a hold of that cure, force feed it and reverse what has spread then destroy what has been tainted. No exceptions. He is obviously dealing with some unresolved grief and the rational lines in his wiring aren't firing. He is also paladin and with the old school approach. He will be eating alot of jello cubes in the med surg unit I am afraid.
* Will update as others that I write merge into the chapter.

Elizabeth: For Peace.

Enver: For Peace.

Gideon:
Against peace. Exterminate the vampire affliction/curse by whatever means possible.

Those are the only ones involved with the chapter (so far).
