Re: [September 2017 GM Event] Masque of the Red Death
A man and a woman are approaching me and I look at his suit. I saw something similar to that when I was meandering around the shop, before the guy at the shop approached me and made his suggestion. I nod at him as they two approach, appreciating the choice of his suit, before turning my attention to the woman in black. There's something familiar about her, but I can't place it yet. I know I know her though.
"Evening Doctor. Miss. nice to meet the both of you." Since she seemed to not want to offer her name, but the guy who was with her. I hold out a hand for the doctor and offer my alias for the night. "Julian Faber." I rise a little and nod to the woman out of formality, but take to my seat quick. "Some party." I comment, glancing at the woman in white who also has a familiar air about her. My eyes narrow as I watch how she walks and moves about the room, then smirk. Yes, I know exactly who she is and now I'm certain she's behind my invitation. "Please excuse me. My wife is here and after two years of marriage, I know better than to leave a lady waiting." He smirked a little, then stood once again. "Miss. Doctor. If you're willing to wait a minute, I'd be glad to introduce you to her." I wait a couple of seconds to allow them to determine what they would like to do, before moving to claim the detective as my own for the evening.
"You know how to make an entry as always." The dress is out of sorts for her, and I think she looks ridiculous with all the frill and lace, but I leave it at that. "Come sweetheart, let's meet some people." I lean in to her right, just beneath her ear and whisper..."There's a killer among us. Stick with me." If anyone would have any clue on who it might be, it should be the detective. It's sort of her job. "We're the Faber's and have had two years of wonderful marital bliss. Should anyone ask."

Re: [September 2017 GM Event] Masque of the Red Death
Now that Prince Dead but Charming has given the spiel on what is going down I get with the program. Supposedly this is a themed party beyond the look I subjected myself to. That makes sense. I am no party goer but lately it seems I have been getting more invites to events than I can remember in my rather short life. I keep an eye on the bodies that move picking up on little things that they likely think go unnoticed. Dead or not some are still easier to read than others. Like the one that comes to my attention and has a rather interesting approach working for him. A compliment paid from him generally means things will be messy later. I think of his suit saturated with cool blood, witness’ gasping and general chaos. It is the highlight of my evening thus far. I feel more confident than ever and it comes out as he makes his move.
“Darling, you made it.” I slide my arm around his and lean in just enough to the right to feel him against my cheek. His hair brushes against my over the top wig as I whisper. “My knight in shining armor.” My eyes fall on one of the guests in particular. I see what I shouldn’t. I whisper because he needs the warning. "You play your cards right tonight you may survive this."

Re: [September 2017 GM Event] Masque of the Red Death
Meara had just returned from Toronto, and was greeted by a pile of mail that piled up on the kitchen table. As she was leafing through, she found an invitation from some sort of Prince to attend a Victorian murder mystery. Meara was admittedly leery of these events after what happened during the previous murder mystery. However, she could never resist a good costume party. So she sent a quick text to RSVP, despite being a bit past the cutoff. She took her phone with her as she went searching in her closet for a quick costume. She didn't have anything traditionally "Victorian" But she did have several Victorianesque steampunk pieces.
An hour and a box of bobby pins later Meara, exited the Beta Towers and jumped in the taxi to take her out to Tomkin. The ride flew by as the young woman was heavily distracted by all the new noises she heard in her head that she had not acclimated to after her training with the wraith. As the car pulled up to the club, Meara stepped exited the vehicle, smoothed out her clothes, and lowered her goggles that doubled as a mask before walking up to the doormen.
"You're not creepy at all."
She whispered as she held up her phone with the electronic confirmation to the masked doormen. The redhead's green eyes took in all of the surroundings and well-dressed people as she made her way inside and to the bar for some wine.

Re: [September 2017 GM Event] Masque of the Red Death
Yvette continued to watch as there seemed to be groups forming. Her eyes continued to flit from person to person, taking in their demeanor. She noted a woman clad in all white moving towards a trio and tilted her head to the side. It was unusual the woman's clothing choice, even more so than her own attire, but perhaps she was observing an ancient mourning practice. It was the custom in some areas of Europe to wear white in mourning, after all.
In her own case, it was simply that this was the best she owned. To have anything less would be a sign of disrespect. Still, her eyes flew to the door as she wondered if it was too late to leave. She stood, giving the somewhat broken aforementioned group a wide berth. Two of them looked vaguely familiar, and she did not trust that familiarity. Still as another person came in through the door, she sighed unhappily. She had come to this- a mistake, and yet she could not run. It was her own fault for willingly coming in the first place. Time to get this over with, she thought, then moved towards the woman at the bar. A crestfallen look slid across her face as she spoke quietly to the redhead.
"It's a pity, what has happened. I came as quickly as I could, the minute I heard," she said, looking at the other woman, though she could not see beyond the goggles worn. Yvette hadn't decided her alias entirely, but had an idea of what she would claim. It would be close enough to the truth to keep her mind steady. "Mind yourself," she whispered as a warning. "They're like vultures circling each other, waiting to follow the first to swoop down."
Even as she spoke this, she wondered if somehow it wasn't simply her paranoia speaking. Oh well, at least it's not the voices again.

Have I gone mad? I'm afraid so.... but let me tell you a secret. All the best people are.

“Good evening, Mister Faber,” Amalea curtsied slightly in greeting. She wouldn’t have chosen the term party for the night’s gathering, but to each their own. “It is something.” An eyebrow rose faintly at his comment about his wife; a married couple that arrived separately was an oddity. There was something to consider later. “Of course, please, don’t let us keep you from her.”
The red-head watched him as he moved to greet his wife, noting another red-head hurry in and to the bar out of the corner of her eye. Turning back to Doc, she quietly posed the question that was bothering her. “Am I the only one who finds it odd that two of our number seem to have mysteriously disappeared? Perhaps they were involved in the plot to kill our Prince.”

“No.. not in the least.. “ Doc looked around the room, and casually used his hand to cover the top of his drink as he set it back down on the bar top, in a quiet voice to his companion.
“I could have sworn I saw the Gypsy here before..But..now.. I do not.“ His eyes narrowed, “I was too engrossed in the Prince’ tale to notice where a few others had gotten too.”
What was Zodiac playing at? She had never avoided him so completely before. He turned to eyes his drink. Had he left it out of his sight? If in doubt. He pushed the drink back to the bartender. “I find I am not as thirsty as I once thought.”
He did a quick head count. Two were missing. He narrowed his eyes.

Re: [September 2017 GM Event] Masque of the Red Death
During the blackout phase, quite the commotion happens, and as the lights begin to blink back on, it seems there is a shadowy figure standing in the corner.
However, it's almost impossibly to fully make out who it is, and then when the lights fully come back on, it is revealed to be none other than Zodiac, covered in what looks to be a little too much fake blood, along with a wooden sword sticking from between one of her arms and her side.
This means that Zodiac is dead. She may observe the rest of the game in the gallery.
Unfortunately, she was also the doctor.

Please bear in mind that voting should be done during Lights On phase, and when majority vote is reached, then I will begin Black Out phase, which leads to a person being voted off, and starts the Detective and Red Death doing their thing, only to begin the process all over again when I call Lights On again! <3!Feel free to continue posting.

“She had been for I saw her as well,” Amalea agreed, quietly, keeping a careful eye on the others gathered.
“I believe we are also missing another,” the red-head paused as the lights blinked out. The commotion that followed could only be described as chaos though one could not see what was going on.
The lights blinking back on to reveal a ‘dead’ Gypsy was a bit of a surprise, given they were just discussing her. Amalea glanced around at the others as it was announced that she had been the doctor; the safety net was gone and now there was more pressure to find the killers in a timely manner.
“I suspect our killer friends hoped to take the doctor out early,” she commented quietly to her companion as she set her own drink upon the bar; who knew what had been done to it while the lights were down. “It will certainly making picking the other innocents off easier. Now it is a race against the clock.”

I was about to give a retort to the detective when the place got dark and some rustling could be heard from everywhere in the room. The lights turn back on and there's a woman in a startling position. I glance to the detective, who is my "wife" for the night. Was she that far away from me before the lights went out?
"Seems the Prince isn't the only fiasco." I turn to the woman in white and give her a quick once over. I'm almost positive we were standing closer. "Ever see her before? Family to the Prince,, maybe?"
