Indeed it is.
Tricky thing is finding good atmospheric music that's free for commercial use.

I'd playtest this.
I'd also offer Digo up as fodder for an NPC. Granted, the current model is an actor, but Digo generally hides his identity -- shifting between a human I have never described and his terrifying monstrous combat form -- so I'm flexible on his appearance.

This sounds pretty neat, David. If I can help in any way, let me know!

If I was going to throw anyone at this it'd probably be Jesse -- willing to help out with quests and/or testing.

Not related to canon, but I figured I'd ask in case anyone has opinions: mobile orientation? Portrait or landscape? Which is more fun / easier to use for you personally?
There are advantages to either. Portrait means that the characters will look better when they are talking to you. Landscape means the battles will be easier to control as there will be more space for the battle menu, and a desktop port will be much easier after the mobile versions are done.

If there is any significant amount of typing expected to be involved, then definitely portrait. That's about the only downside to landscape gaming for me. Everything else I like more, personally, in landscape. Keyboard just takes up too much screen in that orientation for me.

Agreed. I prefer landscape, but if there's a lot of required typing, then portrait may be best. If it's optional, like an in-game chat, or just short replies, then definitely landscape.

I think you guys might be getting the wrong idea about this project. It's single player, so there's no chat or forum posts etc. That will of course be on the Path app (as well as the Path storybook app), but this is a single player RPG spin off. The only typing the player would do is entering their character name at the start.

no way it could be both? I like switching between them. I suppose that's a big pain in the bum to code?

The software I'm using wouldn't allow for that, I'm afraid. And it would require making the graphics in two resolutions.
