Abel. Only, Atabei thought it to be spelled like the ability to being capable of doing something. Maybe everything. But, mostly the term capable stuck with her as she stared at him, still hunkered down on all fours. He was crouched, and a little taller than she was, but that didn't stop the woman from looking him dead in the eyes. When he said he was looking for her, she waved a dismissive, heavy hand. She doubted it. Atabei didn't meddle with many other vampires, only because they were so quick to turn on their own. Much like she didn't mess with the white man either, and so far, this Abel was two for two. A vampire and of white descent.
A name she knew sparked a glimmer of recognition in her eyes, before her dark pupils tried to look through the male in front of her. "I knows of da professa. Ain't seen him in a'whul." Atabei confessed with a shrug of her shoulders. She felt no way about it, he was where he needed to be. Where he was destined to be and nothing she could do about it. Even if that meant he was dead. "Wutchu be want'n wif hem?" She asked, slowly standing to take her full height, which wasn't overly impressive.
As she rose, Atabei pressed a nail into the flesh of that very palm and drew some blood. As it fell and hit the ground, the grass started to crack and pop before it disintegrated around her feet. The stench of another vampire was getting closer and she had been busy tonight. "We be hav'n company soon. Yous any gud at bury'n tings?" She asked Abel. After all, his name meant he was capable and if he wanted any information about the professor, he was going to have to work for it in some way or another.
