Her attention was mainly on the hooded men though she was trying to discreetly get her bearings as to where each was and who else was present. Aside from the tellers and manager, she was fairly sure there were only a handful of other customers present. What she was unsure of was whether or not any of them were willing to stand against these jerks or even if they were skilled enough to do so.
The red-head wasn’t overly concerned about them taking her wallet and phone. There was nothing of real consequence in the wallet – just a bit of cash, a bus ticket and some punch cards – and her phone was easily remotely wiped once she could get to a computer. Her only concern was getting out of this mess, preferably in one piece and masked men incapacitated. While she didn’t really want to see anyone get hurt, she had a feeling it was inevitable particularly if people decided to rise up.
Amalea barely flinched at the gunshot; she had become used to the sound from taking part in a number of battles. Hell, she’d even been shot, stabbed, and everything in between. She certainly felt for the poor guy, but aside from hoping he found a way to control the bleeding there wasn’t much she could do without getting seriously hurt. There were too many of the hooded men as well as a large number of uncontrollable variables.
She carefully rose from her prone position as everyone was ordered into the conference room. Being singled out didn’t really faze the red-head given taking out one of them was a bit easier if they were separated. It was the inclusion of the nosy reporter, Mona, which forced her to bite back a groan. She was fairly sure that she wasn’t the woman’s favorite person given her affinity for vampire. The feeling was certainly mutual as the red-head didn’t appreciate the reporter’s apparent distain for vampires. She also didn’t approve of the woman’s methods for getting interviews. She just hoped that she wasn’t on Mona’s list of enemies tonight; she’d didn’t really want to have to fight two different enemies right now.
Without hesitation, she moved towards the vault. There was no reason to give the robbers any reason to resort to violence just yet. Stepping into the vault, she scanned the structure quickly, looking for anything that would be useful for incapacitating one of their captors. While she did have weapons on her person, she wanted to hold them in reserve until needed. She had become quite adept at throwing her faction mates and had the thought that perhaps throwing one of the goons against the vault wall would at least knock them out.
Catching the bag, she began filling it with the banded stacks of bills. It was at this point she really regretted not having to any of the telepathic powers she had come to love. They’d certainly be useful in this situation. Without them, she could only hope that the hostages would be able to coordinate some sort of attack. For now, all she could do was bade her time and hope that the two of them could take out their two minders. Coordinating any sort of attack was going to be an interesting venture.
