What I mean is, if the failure rate of getting a 13 to a 14 is, for example, 50%, then it would be fair to say that you'd expect to succeed half of the time, which doesn't seem to be the case. Failing 5 times in a row in this scenario is roughly a 3% chance, but appears to happen far more than it should.

That said, my current gun is better than the weapons (visibly) topping the leader board, so I must be doing something right :)

Remember, the way probability works is that the closer you get to doing the 50% task an infinite number of times, the closer you will get to 50% success. Failing 5 times in a row is well within "randomness" for a specific set of such independent events.

Plus perception. I certainly know I remember the 5 fails on a part much more than I remember the 5 success ones.
