Re: [Open] No rest for the wicked
Rowan shrugged at Bjorn's unasked question, automatically reaching for her rifle, it's weight a comforting security blanket in her hands. It had taken her many hours, but she was confident she was a good shot. Between her and Bjorn, they should be reasonably well-equipped to take on a lot of threats. As a precaution, she always had several escape plans, one of which was her tome. Another was the family members on speed dial. Her Sire's bonded partner Mortll had wanted her to know that if she ever got into trouble, she would be happy to summon her out of the sticky situation. She waited for the human to identify itself, thinking idly that Bjorn was a great early warning system and placed a mental note to look into telepaths some more.

Re: [Open] No rest for the wicked
She stayed mostly where she was and held her breath again. A silent little curse as she let the breath out. Holding hands out at the edge of the wall to show her weapons where put away and not in hand.
Not Lost, looking for lost things.
When they did not shoot she took a slow step out. Dressed in dark leather pants and a halter top of the same martial with leather lacing around the wrists in a cheap version of natural gauntlet, neither of those things hid the large Ivy like tattoo that ran along her arms and shoulders. Dark red dreadlocks where pulled back and tied in place.
Did not mean to listen, just not often I find others down here.
She let a bit of her power out to thicken her skin just in case something happened.

Re: [Open] No rest for the wicked
The assault rifle firmly balanced in Rowan’s hands was more than enough of an answer. Bjorn didn’t reach for his weapon like she had, instead keeping his wrist pressed against the grip’s butt, at the ready should the human materialise armed and on the offence. In a place like this, where sound echoed off the walls and through the tunnels indiscriminately, it wasn’t always easy to make sense of which direction a possible thread came from.
Two small hands came into view, disembodied wrists wrapped in a dark material that could easily hide a dagger or two. Bjorn’s hand didn’t move from his side, his brow furrowing as the human revealed herself to them. A scavenger then, by her own admission anyway.
“It’s not exactly teeming with people, no,” he conceded.
While the mausoleum and catacombs weren’t nearly as crowded as the sewers were, he had crossed his fair share of people on his nightly runs. He was well aware too, that some of their [vampire] kin could move imperceptibly through the shadows without drawing attention to themselves, or too fast for their passing to be registered. There could be any number of vampires in this many room without any of them knowing. He glanced at Rowan then, wondering whether her path or her eyes gave her any advantage he lacked.
The human looked underdressed for a human, which made his brow furrow as he reached out and appraised her. Bjorn had confused other vampires for humans, and he himself had been stalked like prey by unsuspecting fledglings. She was undoubtably 100% human, though she possessed a power which he neither recognised nor could make sense of.

Re: [Open] No rest for the wicked
Green eyes shifted to weapon in Rowan's hands then back to Bjorn and back to weapon and woman. Both her weapons could be seen, the custom made long blade at her hip had a larger head that made it look off balanced but deadly and the rifle slung over her back looked pieced together but well made. No move was made to either as she shifted from one foot to the other.
If you want, I could leave you both to do what you are doing. It's easy enough for me to wander off into another section of a tunnels or what not.

Re: [Open] No rest for the wicked
Rowan's eyes narrowed when the woman came into view, her hands automatically tightening on her weapon. Other vampires, she could handle. It was the humans that hunted their kind that made her pause. Considering that they came in all shapes and sizes, she didn't dare trust this one an inch.
"Scavenging, were you? Anything specific you were looking for?" she called out to the human. Bjorn hadn't lowered his guard much and she would go with his reactions for now, knowing that he would have better insight into this mysterious stranger than she did at the moment.
"You don't have to leave on our account, it's a free city and all." Rowan would feel better with the threat in sight than if it wandered off and then came back to stab them in the back.

Re: [Open] No rest for the wicked
Unaware as to whether or not his appraising abilities would reveal anything of consequence given her human nature, Bjorn still sought further insight through his mind’s eye. It was made evident to him then and there, as he telepathically considered her a minute longer, that she possessed a rare quality that made her a possible threat.
Brow furrowing speculatively, he hummed noncommittally as Rowan replied to the stranger.
“Down here most people go about their business without minding others. You need something?”
Bjorn didn’t feel particularly threatened by her presence, and leaned back against the stone column. He kept his arms at his side, wrist pressed agains his holstered weapon as he slid his pockes into his hands.

Re: [Open] No rest for the wicked
A shake of her head and she made sure to keep her hands away from her weapons, no need to get shot down here where she would never find her way out again. She would glance between both but focusing on the on she speaks to when speaking to them. Looking towards Rowan
"Just old almost broken swords and stuff. Working on piecing them back together to try and make something better. Works sometime."
She gave a small smile and then shifted her attention to Bjorn, he head shaking no.
"Just wanted to make sure you knew I was a thinking body and not a zombie as I passed through. Don't really want to get shot you know."

Re: [Open] No rest for the wicked
Rowan gave the female an interested look once she mentioned working with forging swords and the like. It wasn't a skill she had studied herself and of course, she was always on the lookout for better weapons, both for herself and for her friends and family. Some of them even had extensive gun and sword collections, she knew. Turning her head when Bjorn relaxed minutely, she gave him a look and then, going back to the human, she tilted her gun so the barrel was pointing at the ground instead in a show of goodwill.
"Working with swords and such? Are you any good?" Her face relaxed into a smile then, the type of smiles that came easily to her from a lifetime of working in bars and the like. "I'm Rowan by the way, and it was a good idea for you to let us know you were around. I tend to shoot first and ask later down here."

Re: [Open] No rest for the wicked
This nameless stranger was a kindred spirit, it would seem. Bjorn’d attempted to tamper with certain metals at the forge, but he’d found himself much better rewarded for his efforts at the crafting table. One day he’d consider forging his own weapons, though by the grace of his makeshift ‘family’ he had plenty to spare until then.
“Bjørn,” he offered without preamble following Rowan’s introduction, and bobbed his head towards the stranger in an impassive greeting. His attention slipped considerably, the darkness surrounding them tugging on his hypersensitive senses. He made no show of it, but he was certain that whilst they’d been busy making acquaintance, a much more unpleasant threat was beckoned by their voices. His brow furrowed before he returned his gaze onto the stranger, too curious about forging to tune it out completely.

A nod of greeting to both, then a wave of her hand in a so so gesture.
I could be better, but the parts down here are not really the best. Ever so often you get luck and find something amazing but you know good luck finding matching parts."
She gave a soft laugh.
"I could show you, the one I use most the time is something I made. Oh and I'm Ona.
She did not make to remove the weapon to show them till they both were okay with it.
