I honestly don't know how to bring that up, josh. That is a problem. Ric can't contact that admin, that I know of. So who can he talk/ask? Someone from the faction? Okay, but how much, if anything does he/anyone get to know or find out?

I mean, yeah, ric would totally go into one of their forts and drag someone out for questioning, but they're npcs. Ya know?

I'm surprised to see this actually, given at the beginning of the game David said it would never get to this point o.O

This largely comes down to several anti-secrecy chapter consequences consecutively as well as the cessation of (basically all) enforcement measures.

I take exception to the above, respectfully.

Doc still kills(ed) the rogue vampires; He even hacks.. Though he sucks at it.

There are at least three other IC characters that routinely still/did hunt violators and hacked to clear records; that Doc knows of.

So just because you personally didn't see it; did not mean it was not still being done. Some of are tenacious about it.. >.>

<.< My bad. The cessation of most enforcement measures.

Er. And let me also say that the part about the lack of enforcement being a huge contributing factor is also an assumption on my part. It could also be a number of other things, like people doing evidence hacks and releasing information to the public, etc. Regardless of the specific details, it comes down largely to a large scale priority shift.

So, I personally have no idea what anyone can do to lower the alert level.

This is what I know...are there other ways I/my characters were missing?
Evidence hacks-which few of mine have done. Very few tbh. Most mine don't hack, because I hate hacking personally.
Killing someone-but that takes days, weeks, months, just ain't being done anymore...
and impact threads of a large scale.

I'm honestly not sure how this wasn't planned to happen when there really were no other ways that I, and I'm assuming most don't know about? So, was there more we could have done to prevent this in any aspect? Cause I'm really confused on what the player base could do anymore once it went from yellow to OMFG WE'RE SO DONE FOR.

All of the above.

I think the chapters had the most impact. Esp., two in particular. The One where some of us (I share blame on this one for sure. :( ) sent Crow packing and the one where the fade factures gave a level up if you consumed them. Which not all of mine did but I think a huge majority of characters did.

Mine was 50/50 on that. so few of mine actually found shards tbh and only those die hard to the masq didn't open one or wte it was to gain a level. Enver did, but pretty sure he was my only one that did that.

anywho....so it's really just those three things?
Okay, well good to know I didn't miss any opportunities/updates to do more, I guess :))

However, and please, this is not a discussion about benefits of pvp or cons, so please don't make it this way.
A lot of people/groups/whatever stopped hunting due to the change in pvp or skirimish-whatever you wanna call it.
WHICH IS FINE. So please no arguing on that front.
However, I feel like if that was...an option taken away from, it should have been replaced with some other option.
Cause IDK ...IDK how many people like to hack (I've only heard 2 people ever be like I hack daily! I love hacking), and big impact threads are so far and few between/presented/written. I can't remember the last one sans the ones josh (ST) promoted. I think I mighta been in the last one before that with Enver....doing bad things. >< LOL. Seems about right.

All I'm saying is, I feel like there were too many ways to break the masq, without ways to fix/rectify those breaking it, and wish that when PVP/Skirmish went sorta buy buy, that we coulda had some other method to offset that loss. Even if it wasn't PVP/Skirmish related. Something as simple as walking to the cop shop and sneaking in to grab a tape, influencing npc's SOMETHING.
