He felt a gut wrenching sensation of wrongness as Indie spoke, acknowledging his words, acknowledging the gravity of the situation for the first time. The feeling only grew as the distance did between them, until she was standing, until she was walking away to leave him laying in his slow building broody anger. He'd just stayed there, watching her walk away and said nothing. Perhaps too stunned by her agreement, too frustrated by his decision. Right now he could be lost in a sea of sheets, with woman showering him in love and attention, embracing him without hesitation. Instead? Alone. He kicking furiously at a pillow, sending the fluffy item flying across the room. "****!" He growled, the man on his feet in moments, hands pushing at his blonde locks.
It was rare that he truly felt sympathy for others, that he could put himself in their shoes. Generally he just didn't care enough, didn't want to and even when he tried it just felt impossible. He understand it from an outside perspective, but it didn't get to impact on him. Yet he had claimed these people as his own, they were a reflection of him and if one was suffering then they all would, if one had doubts then it would slowly trickle back to him. The guys would blame him, why hadn't he just let her live in her delusions? Why did he have to be honest? That was one thing about Kaspar, he didn't shy away from honesty, he would at times disguise the truth behind beautiful words but not lies.
He took a few calming breaths, he had to make sure she was alright, that she understood he wanted her. They wanted her, it was just a matter of making sure she understood what it meant. As he made his way to the bathroom he began to shed layers of clothing, piece by piece until there was nothing clothing him, nothing to hide behind. He made a point of avoiding the mirror as he opened the door, edging into it with his back to it, afraid of the horror he might see. It was when she emerged from beneath the bubbles that he spoke, "Indigo, we need to cover the mirrors in this house, not necessarily permanently as I know you need them but for vampires they can be... Horrific." He didn't wait for her approval, the man making his way to join her in the large spa sized bath. He caught the woman up against him, drawing her easily into his embrace amongst the bubbles. "I adore you, alright? We all do, and it's not a matter of wanting YOU, it's wanting you to get what we couldn't have. We will figure it out, together."

The bubbles floated back up with the rise of her body from beneath the surface of the water. It was the cool skin beneath the water as it moved that summoned her to break the surface. Her face lost the brief veil of water that dripped from her face. A sweep of her hands back pulled the saturated ringlets back from her eyes while they found it was the one and only Kaspar that was responsible for pulling her in close. She felt so safe in the unpredictable world around her then and there. The mirrors would need to be covered and her hands would do it. It was not something she needed to question at the moment as to why. There was enough to absorb for each of them. The mirrors would be dealt with because that was what was needing to be done. It was a rather easy issue to solve. Her mind ticked away the task as complete with a mental note.
“I don’t really need mirrors to the extent you would think. Consider it done.” Her eyes softened as she looked at him. He needed to relax. The man, no the vampire, had enough on his plate to deal with and there he was being all wonderful at piling more on and trying to micro-manage everything. They adored her and she know that. She listened to it and replied. “Relax, Boo.”
Did he think she needed some some sort of emotional rescue because she discovered her world suddenly was made up of gods and monsters?
It was hardly the case. Indigo was still going to live in the moment, perhaps a bit more aware but still be the free spirit she was even with the reality that was thrust upon her for her own good. Before she could sink any further into the too deep thought the welcome hands were pulling her from the heat of the water surrounding them and bringing her closer to him. It was beautiful, the contact. Part of it’s magic was that it was not needed to sooth some sort question in her head or irrational fear. It happened because it was meant to. Like everything else in the Hive. There were men and women who would give their teeth to be where she was. As she brushed a finger at his hairline she realized it was just Kaspar being himself. The small lines of his expression would smoothe once again given time.
“You have stretched yourself thin, no doubt. Listen, here you can think, recharge or do none of the above and just rest. We don’t have to make choices tonight or next week. Let things happen when they do, where they do. Don’t try to overthink what can’t be changed right now.” She lifted just enough so that her body appeared curves and all from the cover of bubbles that clung to her skin. She leaned in and pressed her lips to his forehead then brushed her nose to the top of his head. “I adore you too. Everything works out the way it is supposed to. Sometimes we have a hell of a time accepting it when it doesn’t go as we planned. I would say in the case of all of us we are the lucky ones. We four are here sharing the best moments while the rest of the world is setting itself on fire.”
Indigo settled back against the other side of the tub and admired the view she had of him surrounded in the fragrant cloud of heat and bubbles. She smiled while she brought her leg up slowly so that it traced the length up the opposite one until her knee appeared briefly like a periscope then disappeared as her foot snapped at the surface of the water sending bubbles and water playfully at him.
