Merry reached to give Zo's hand a gentle squeeze of gratitude, although she was disappointed to hear the woman had no more information than she did regarding her current state or what had occurred, she was glad to have someone to discuss it with, someone who was willing to try and assist her. "Yes, Mortll, we should call her and let her know I am here, she might be able to help me. She was always very good at that, you know, she is very dependable and reliable." The woman sipped more at her blood, listening to Zo's instructions and finishing one of the steins. Picking up the other she did her best to drain it, but was distracted a few sips in by a beautiful dark feline slinking closer to Zodiac. She did indeed recognise those eyes, so intelligent and observant, watching over her master protectively.
"Ginny, it is an honour to meet you once more." She spoke to the familiar, her hand stretching out, palm facing upwards to allow the black cat the opportunity to sense her, to sniff her hand and feel the aura surrounding her. Ginny crept closer, accepting the offer with a bump of her head, allowing Merry to brush a hand down her silken dark fur. "Thank you, for welcoming me into your home." She spoke to them both, her eyes flicking between familiar and owner, "I don't know what I would have done, what I will do. Having a safe place to sit, to think through these worries is wonderful, da? You are my hero, Zodiac." She pressed her arm to the other woman's, letting her dark head fall to her friends shoulder, eyes closing as she let a wave of exhaustion roll over her. Her body began to relax bit by bit, feeling the slow tingling of energy leaving her, the urge to sleep making her head grow heavy where it rested. That is where she fell asleep, blood unfinished, cradled in her lap, slumped to Zodiac's side.

Re: Mystic Miss ((Zodiac))
Well, that settled that much of the mystery. If there was something seriously wrong with Merry or if this was some doppelganger or fae wearing her face and form, Ginny would have been all fangs and claws. Despite being vampire, the cat had senses and perceptions she did not (yet) have and she trusted those beyond anything her own could feel out. Merry was, well-Merry. How Merry ended up in a hole in the ground was still a mystery to be solved.
When her guest began to lean on her like a balloon slowly deflating, the gypsy just held her spot. This made sense as well. So freshly returned, so little blood in her system. Whatever energy she had managed to gain back had been used up quickly. Once she was sure Merry was finished, she grabbed the glass from Merry's grip and slowly extracted herself from her seat and guided the woman down. Once her head was resting on a pillow, Zodiac hiked the girl's legs up onto the couch.
"Why does all the strange stuff happen to me?" she smiled as she shook her head. She gathered up the glasses and took them back to the kitchen. "Watch her'" she send the thought to Ginny. It was her own inner paranoia in action now. Why she would have a reason to be afraid of Merry she honestly could not say, but some of the more bizarre things that have happened to her seemed to start so innocently and simple just like this.
Once the glasses had been rinsed and a blanket retrieved and draped over her sleeping guest, Zodiac sat in front of her fireplace and considered what to do next. Merry had some valid concerns and she certainly did not have all the answers.
She pulled her iPhone out of her pocket and paused while concentrating to one specific mind somewhere in the city.
'...Sending you an important text. Read it as soon as you can...'
Once that was done, her fingers began to dance across the digital keyboard composing.
Hey, doll. Guess what? I got a surprise for you. Actually a large surprise. Is taking up my whole couch ATM. Please come to the apt in Ivy ASAP. I know I am being a brat not telling you what the surprise is, but it's seriously something you are going to want to see.
Let me know. Luvs.

She hit the SEND key and looked back at the couch. Merry was just laying there while Ginny was perched on the arm of the sofa like a miniature Sphinx watching the sleeping vampire. Zodiac then turned to the pile of books to her right (all of them with bookmarks hanging out). She selected one and settled back to read as she waited for a reply.

The itch seemed to grow worse Mortll twitched her nose in a attempt to relive it some. Why did every time you had your hands unavailable to scratch. It went the same way with cell phones right when you couldn't answer it was inevitable that it was going to ring or beep, with someone wanting your immediate attention . Mortll was shoulder deep into a corpse. It was a bloated rancid mess the knife that had liquid jelly like substance was a valuable one and would fetch a nice price. She may even decide to keep it and hang it with her collection.
She pulled the dagger free with slight celebration of triumph when the inevitable beeping from her pocket started.
Zo whispered through her mind with a cryptic message that the text was from her. It had to be important if the Gypsy went through these lengths to make sure she received it. Mortll deposited the dagger into her bag then shook the slime and gunk from her hand . Carefully she fished her phone from her pocket and read the text. Well this should be interesting she though her thumb moved over the screen leaving a trail of body fluids on the phone she would have to clean it when she got to her mausoleum. She shrugged this should be interesting
A quick shower and depositing of her prizes from the nights hunt and she was at the Gypsy's door knocking .

Re: Mystic Miss ((Zodiac))
Her dreams were darkness, but she did not thrash about in the real world. In her mind she was running through a forest, towards a clearing, the light of a bonfire calling her and yet everything looked smoky, wrong. Too much fire. As she broke out of the trees, skirts clutched in her hands, she stopped dead in her tricks. Bodies littered the ground, some half burned, others on fire in a pile, many slashed and coated in blood. Cursed. Doomed. Dead. She was choking on the acrid smell of burning flesh, on the smoke and ash that threatened to invade her body with each breath. It was horrific. Her family, or the closest thing she'd known, all dead and it was her fault.
The knock on the door woke her, Merry taking in a sharp breath, inhaling as if she were preparing to scream but instead merely whimpered. "Oh, goodness." She mumbled, having fallen asleep on Zo's couch and now they had a guest. "I'll get it for you, dearest host!" Merry called out, slowly lifting her sleepy frame, stretching out the minor aches on her way to the door. She opened it without ceremony, lips parted ready to politely greet but no sound was made. There on the threshold stood Mortll, her Mortll and Merry was sure she might swoon. Her arms reached out blindly, hands soft clasping at the woman's arms, drawing her close into a warm embrace. Her eyes ached with the urge to cry, her throat tight with sobs asking for release but she held on in silence, not a single drop would fall. "Mortll..."
