Dawn smirked, at his words. He may or may not have been drinking, but she actually had, since she was able to still enjoy the pleasures of the human world, despite the fact that she drank blood and burned in the sun. So when he said that they had only had a single glass, she looked to her own which had been emptied sometime during his story. The only thing that kept her from ordering more had been the fact that she had enjoyed hearing about his life before he had come to Harper Rock.
Still, she didn't mind the idea of taking a walk with the guy, after all, what could possibly happen. Well, he could probably kill her, but so far she didn't pick up on anything other than flirting. The only signal that sent off in her was that he probably wanted to get into her pants. She wasn't that type of girl though. So good luck to him there in that case. It normally took three or four dates before she thought about sleeping with someone. When he told her to face the music and then asked her about herself, she smiled and leaned against the bar, running her finger around the rim of her glass.
"Well, I was born in Alaska, found out early on in my life that I was a vampire, that I would always need blood because I can't make my own and that I burned in the sun. Which wasn't so bad in Winter, but in Summer it sucked more than I ever could. The only thing that helped with my hunger pains was singing, being in front of people and seeing how my music brought them happiness. My band watches over me like a bunch of big brothers, but they also know who brings in the money and signs their checks." She said with a soft smile, "Then one day I got a call, the caller said that he knew how to 'cure' me of my disease or at very least, make it so that I don't have to feed as often. I found out later, he thought I was something else, and then he turned me into another kind of monster. Now I feed off my own kind. I have to say though, it helps. It really does help with my hunger."
She smiled a bit, before she came to Harper Rock, before she became what she was, she had to feed every day. Normally feeding on one of her band mates, or if there was a really loyal fan she would feed on them. Now, by feeding on her own kind, she was able to go weeks without needing to feed. Their power flowed through her for at least two weeks. Dawn looked to him and then hopped from her stool. "That is basically the story of how I got here. You said you wanted to get out of here though?" She asked with a soft smirk as she looked over to the coat check for a moment then back to him.
