Watching as the woman slipped from the booth, she smiled as she ran her hand through her hair, the sharp, shimmering gaze swimming with ecstasy as she felt her head swim. The passing of her slender fingers through her silky soft hair sent a ripple of pleasure through her skull, reverberating down her spine and earning a subtle shiver as she chuckled quietly to herself. She dropped her hand to her clutch, organizing the items she’d dropped into the small bag and snapping it shut, but not before being certain that her firearm was easily accessible. In her line of work, leaving your gun out of your reach was often a lethal mistake, either for yourself, or for someone around you.

Her eyes moved to the hand that the woman had offered and she smiled, the gesture genuine as she reached out with her own hand, taking the offered help and sliding from the booth and all but leaping to her feet. Standing, she was much taller than her new friend. Almost comically so. It brought another fit of laughter bubbling past her lips as she swallowed it back and composed herself, hands passing along the short length of her dress to even the fabric across her lightly tanned thighs. Satisfied with her appearance, she turned her eyes to the woman at her side and nodded.

I like the sound of a café. Quiet, street side service, should be fun. What do you say you lead the way? I still manage to lost myself between home and the office.” She managed a delighted, amused smile as she kept hold of the woman’s hand and began to guide her toward the entrance of the club, weaving carefully through wildly flailing patrons as the music continued to thrum loudly through the building at incredible volume, the basslines enough to cause her brain to tremble inside her skull. Or was that the unicorn’s doing? She could never tell.

Pausing on the way out, she placed a hand on the small of a waitress’s back, pulling her close as she whispered into her ear, at a volume she would hear over the music. I’m going out. Make sure the manager knows she’s in charge, and that Benson knows I probably won’t be back tonight. With that, she gave the girl a light shove against her back and sent her on her way. She turned, and offered Melete a smile over her shoulder, and walked her out, right through the entrance. She gave a grin to Lysle, the bouncer at the door, and pat his arm. Without a word, they slipped into the dark street and she glanced around from one side of the wide road to the other, and she turned to the small woman in her grasp.

Realizing she was still gripping her so tightly, she let her go and laughed. “Sorry. Easy to lose someone in that mess. Had it happen one too many times… so… which way?” she asked, tipping her head to one side in a curious expression, causing the entire world to tilt on its axis with her. She smiled at the sensation and moved her palm against her side. She fought the cramp of hunger as it panged through her abdomen again. She was going to need to find someplace dark and quiet, soon.

Freyja was leading the way out, more or less pulling or dragging Lita through the crowd of dancers and staff. The amazon-esque looking woman would stop every now and again to talk to her staff about whatever. At times like those, Adelita would look around the club and give the woman her privacy; business partner to business partner. Adelita knew how importante it was to have business matters stay between the owner and its staff, so the woman would just glance around at people in the club, or listen to the sound of the back beat in the music and do a little dancing. Or bobbing around. it was difficult to dance when someone was holding on to you like their life depended on it. Swaying was probably the best way to describe what Adelita was actually doing.

Once Freyja was done with whatever she needed to say and have the staff do or not do, her attention returned to the Mexican woman as the other offered her a small apology. Adelita smiled and then laughed a little, knowing all too well how business life could be as well as how difficult it was to find someone in a cramped club and how easy it was to lose someone. Her and Wynifred wouldn't see each other for an hour or so at times in the clubs around Harper Rock. "No problema, chica!" Adelita said, her gaze on the blonde woman-more specifically the hair of the woman than her face. "I wouldn't want to lose you either." Adelita's lips curved up into a small, coy smile as the night air slammed against the woman's petite body. She didn't shiver, but Adelita could certainly feel the difference in temperature from the club to outside at the end of the winter season.

Adelita slowly pulled away from Freyja to spin around the area, looking at the familiar signs to sort out which direction to go in. Once she found a particular, run down looking house whose siding was the color of an early sunrise, Lita pointed in that direction. "That way." The woman said with a heavy nod of her head, before recollecting the woman's hand with a small hop and then taking them in that direction. "I think it's about five blocks from your club, come to think about it." She hoped that wasn't a problem with Freya. Five blocks shouldn't take more than fifteen minutes tops. Maybe seventeen in these heels, Lita would think to herself as they started walking.

Laughing lightly, Freyja watched the woman pull away and spin, glancing about her surroundings, looking for whatever landmarks she had memorized on her journey here. It was an amusing thing to see, a grown woman spinning so, or at least it was amusing to her. She stifled another laugh as she lifted her hands to her hair, deft fingers tying her loose curls back in a tight tail before her grasp was stolen again, and it was she that was being tugged along now, guided on some kind of misadventure.

That was what her new friend believed, anyway. Her stomach tightened into a cold iron coil as it growled with a ferocity that startled her. She could feel her teeth aching against her gums, her fangs begging for a target, her entire body trembling with excitement and hunger. She heard the woman say that the little café was five blocks from the club. Five blocks was plenty of time. Plenty of dark alleys and secluded places she could find in five blocks. She gave the woman a smile and closed her fingers around the other’s tanned hand. She was soft, pleasant to the touch.

It almost made Freyja sad she would have to kill her, really. She had already grown a little fond of the small Latina, but after her long stint of careless and wild childer, she could hardly trust her own judgement in people. She knew she couldn’t just take what she needed, and leave her be.

Or you could, Frey… nobody’s here to stop you now.
You never know. Maybe add another one to the collection.
Maybe keep this one. Maybe she’ll be as good as Cali.

They were never as good as Cali. She pushed the thought from her head and smiled to the woman at her side. Lingering on something so foolish wouldn’t get her anywhere, wouldn’t subdue the hunger stabbing her abdomen like a knife. “Five blocks isn’t so bad. I’ve always enjoyed walking the streets at night. It’s quiet, and there’s a certain beauty about the city at night.” She gave a coy smirk, following the woman’s steps easily, her every movement a flawless practice in grace and excellence. She practically glided across the sidewalk, her heels making only the faintest sounds against the hard surface beneath her.

She was careful to keep from squeezing Melete’s hand too tightly, and with enough strength to let her know she didn’t mind, and maybe even enjoyed the minor contact between them. She ran her eyes along the sidewalk, spotting a perfect spot just a few buildings away. She turned to the woman, then, and smiled. “So tell me about you. What do you do here in town?” She tossed her head gently, flipping her long blond tail over her shoulder so her free hand could lift to play idly with the curls as she watched the woman for her answer. Something about the entire situation was different from the other nights, something was very off.

She couldn’t place it, but it had to be the woman, Melete. There was something about her that made her a little less confident in what was about to happen, a little more nervous. She turned her head and glanced ahead of them for just a moment, seeing they were nearing the alley. Mentally, she prepared herself for the theatrics of it all. She had to be particularly convincing tonight.

When they reached the alley, she cocked her head, frowning. She whipped her head around to stare into the darkness and she narrowed her eyes, like squinting could help her to pierce the shadows. She stopped walking, and leaned toward the darkness. “Did you hear that?” she whispered, her voice barely more than a breath. Feigning terror came naturally. She pulled herself closer to the small woman as she tightened her grip on her hand. “I think there’s someone there.

There was always something about the cold, crisp winter/spring air that always brought Adelita back into a different mindset, when not in a club. In the club, or bar, the woman seemed to drop her guard a little, thinking places like those were relatively safe, minus sleazeballs that tried to get a woman in shady, ulterior ways. Not that she would ever be affected by that type of drug, ever again. Not that she ever had been, but now with the whole vampire thing-it seemed Adelita could drink just about anything and not be affected by it. Much, or at all.

Adelita nodded her head in agreement with what Freyja said about quiet and the night time splendor of it all. When she was asked what she did, Adelita had to think about the question. Or how to answer the question. How specific on details she should be. "Well, I work at a cafe in town." Adelita smiled, not wanting to name it. "I run it actually-but also work there. Usually waitress. I have a sort of...flair customers like." The woman laughed both softly and wryly, thinking about the last couple of customer's she pissed off with her sassy mouth. "I'm looking to expand in other ventures-primarily in the Mexican culture." Lita said softly as she kept an eye on the streets; where they passed, how many blocks went by. That sort of thing.

Adelita was going to talk about a third possible venture, when she was interrupted by an unsettled Freyja. "Que?" Lita asked as she looked in the direction Freyja was both focused and talking about. "I don't think we should go that way then.." Not that Adelita had had the inkling to of that way, it was off the beaten path. "Even though I didn't hear anything..." Adelita continued before she grabbed the other woman's hand and led her across the street and down the other part of the alley. "This might shave a couple minutes off our walking time, we can cut through a couple yards. No one will know." Lita nodded her head as the woman and her walked together, hands linked. "We should be very quiet though." Adelita's eyes swung back to the other woman as they walked past a garage, where Lita would point to a house two doors down from this one. "I think if we cut through this yard and 'J-walk,' it should be right between the end of that block and at the beginning of the other." The Mexican woman said quietly. "I won't let anything happen to you." Adelita informed Freyja with a determined nod of her head, as she inched them both to the garage near the yard they were supposed to cut through.

When the other woman took her hand, Freyja’s annoyed frown turned into a softer, gentle smile. She accepted the hand, and allowed herself to be pulled along, moving with the guide and taking direction down to the tee. She’d planned to ask more about her business, what her plans for the place might have been when they paused in their dash, standing just shy of the first yard. She let her sharp blue gaze move from building to building as she explained her plan, the much taller woman stepping closer to her smaller, tanner friend. She nodded her head in understanding, and knit her brows as she readied herself. The track she had set out before them was a short one. If she was going to do this, it was going to have to be quick, and she wasn’t going to have time to second guess her decision.

The last words out of the woman’s mouth were easily the worst things she could have possibly have said.

I won’t let anything happen to you….

In an instant, her entire selfish plan made her feel like a monster all over again. She frowned, and shook her head, clearing her thoughts. She couldn’t let herself be bogged down with this baggage. She had to survive. To do that, she had to eat. A moment later, they were moving, the small Mexican woman pulling her along and Freyja playing the obedient follower. They passed within a foot of the garage and something in her head clicked.

This is the moment. It’s now, or it’s not at all.

As Melete began to pull her around the corner, Freyja’s grasp on the woman’s small hand tightened, and she pulled back hard, turning and shoving the woman’s back into the side of the garage. “Just a second.” She said quietly, her voice barely above a whisper. She looked down into the woman’s soft, dark eyes, and she felt a pang of guilt. She’d been very kind to her, very sweet, and had been particularly understanding of her less than genial hospitality. All of that, however, was trumped by the white knife of hunger that jabbed her stomach in that moment.

She lifted her hand, letting it rest across the woman’s collar bone. She gave her a small smile, and leaned into her. “Just… wait.” She moved her hand to the woman’s cheek, her thumb tracing the line of her cheekbone, her fingers tracing her jaw. She tipped her head back, gently, and leaned down, as if to place a kiss to the column of the woman’s throat. The proximity, the moment that it was right, her fangs descended like razors from the roof of her mouth, sliding into the woman’s flesh with an ease that surprised even her.

She closed her eyes, waiting for that wonderful, beautiful taste to splash across her tongue, to feel the glorious revitalization that its nourishment provided her, anticipating a cataclysmic eruption of the most divine flavor and, instead, when the first drops of blood touched her lips, she immediately knew that something was wrong. Her fingers curled into the woman’s soft curls and she pulled her back, her fangs sliding from the woman’s throat as she nearly gagged on the blood, feeling her stomach churn as she spit what little she had claimed onto the ground, immediately feeling horrified. She’d crossed a line, and for what? Her eyes were wide and filled with terror when she turned back to the small woman. What had she done? Her stomach turned, and the back of her throat burned as she fought to keep down its contents, her hands sliding from the woman’s figure as she slowly backed away.

“I… I do not…” she looked at the woman’s face, the confusion plain as day across her own features, her hands held in front of her, unsure of what it was she was supposed to do in this situation. She realized that, with the lack of the Bane’s burn, she was tasting her first drops of vampire’s blood, as a vampire. Something about the idea seemed absurd; even taboo. She put a hand over her mouth and slowly began to back away from the woman. “I didn’t know…”

They were close to each other and the only reason for that, in Lita's mind was because SOMETHING was going to happen. SOMETHING good, by the looks and feel of it. Lita wasn't a picky lover (lover used loosely in all aspects of intimacy), she just enjoyed being in the throngs of lust filled moments, for however long those moments might be. And this seemed like one of those moments.

Lita gladly tipped and angled her head in whatever direction Freyja desired from the Mexican Allurist, both hands of Lita's finding a location on the other woman's body. One around the waist, nestling itself against a hip, the other under Freyja's armpit, and coming to rest on a shoulder blade. "I'll wait however long you want me to wait." Adelita crooned, not wanting to be pushy or forceful on the woman that seemed unsure of what she wanted to do, or should do in this situation.

And then, the woman finally knew what she was going to do, and Lita felt a prick in the base of her throat, and the moment was instantly...ruined. Both hands removed themselves from the taller woman, as all thoughts of foreplay went out the window. Lita enjoyed a lot of different things, and she might not have minded a little bit of blood exchange with a heads up, but this unexpected turn of events had Adelita aiming to peel Freyja off her sooner than Freyja removing herself from the situation.

The gigantic blonde seemed to be apologizing almost, or at least making an excuse and Adelita just stood there, a hand going to the spot that had been punctured with the fangs of the Norwegian vampire before her. "You aren't the first or the last." Adelita commented nicely before she lifted her shoulders and sighed. "It's okay. I can handle a little biting, spanking and all sorts of other things. Just should have told me you liked it a little rough is all." The woman laughed shallowly, trying to make light of the entire situation. The mistaken identity and the whole blessing or curse in disguise with her all around human appearance.
