She wasn't invincible.

That much was proven when she began to sway, each pulse of pain from the bullets causing her to weaken even more. Even with the knowledge that she was going to lose, she couldn't seem to control herself. There was nothing in her mind that allowed her to back down, to hold her hands up in surrender and beg for mercy. In fact, it was just the opposite. She knew without a doubt that the moment her knees touched the ground, she would be executed. There was no forgiveness in the woman's eyes, no remorse. There was only grief and fury. Even knowing that she had put that there, even knowing that it was her hand that had taken the life from another human being - she couldn't find it in her to care. The beast inside of her had finally had a taste, and it wouldn't be satisfied until it had taken every last bit of goodness that she had left.

Everything was moving in slow motion as the woman thumbed the safety back into position, her hand lifting to aim the gun for her heart. Without another thought, Caligrace cast a spell to confuse her, and she gave a quiet breath as the spell worked, the woman turning to fire blindly in another direction. She continued to pull the trigger until the chamber clicked empty, and it was then that Caligrace attacked. Her heels squeaked against the tile as she lunged, her fingers twisting into thick ebony locks. With a savage snarl, she ripped the woman's head back and slammed her knee into her back, pushing her to the floor. Her movements were sluggish, the blood loss causing her vision to waver, but she managed to keep her hold secure as she dug her knee into her spine. Hunger beat at her like a drum, and the second the woman beneath her thrashed enough to reveal the slender column of her throat, she leaned down and sank her fangs home.

Divine.

The beast inside of her purred with delight, and she quickly curled her arms around shoulders and bent her backwards. The angle was awkward and painful, if the sounds the other made were any indication, but she was too far gone to care. This woman had threatened her life, her best friends life, and ruined her club. There was no way she was going to make it out unscathed - or alive. As Alessa began to fight anew, her movements turning stronger as the adrenaline kicked into play, Caligrace pinned her arms around her stomach. As lost as she was in the taste of her blood, she didn't realize that the other had freed her arm - nor did she feel the cold steel of the gun against her temple before it was too late. The only warning she had was the sound of her finger applying pressure to the trigger, before the pain blossomed and darkness seeped in.
