A woman reveals herself and Laney is surprised. No, shocked. Never in a billion years would she have thought a woman would have done something like this. Maybe it was an accident. She thought Laney was something she wasn’t-an animal. Only, the woman wasn’t sporting a gun and she looked like an animal. A frenzied one at that. Crazy even!
“My parents have some money. There’s a phone-” Laney isn’t able to finish her thought and potential bribe to the woman before she’s attacking her like a rabid predator. And though there are a lot of smells in the woods-like the soft, wet earth beneath her, the fresh scent of pine and other foliage growing and even the smell of animal urine (or was it her own?), the woman that was on top of her smelled the strongest. Like death. Dirty death.
Laney cries some inaudible sound out in the wilderness as the woman bites her. She bites her in the neck! If she was hungry, Laney could have given her some food from her pack, or anyone’s pack, but instead she opted to go for human flesh. The woman was a cannibal and Laney was her intended dinner for the night.
There’s another shot to the opposite side of Laney. The one that shot Laney and Spencer. It had to be. It wasn’t the psycho, dark haired cannibal that had ripped into her flesh. “GET AWAY FROM ME!” Laney shrieked-though to who she was shrieking that at, wasn’t all that clear. Maybe just the woman, or the both of them. It would be ideal, but guns killed faster than someone gnawing on you, so it was hard to say just who she was yelling the order out to.

Re: Full Moon twins [kika,'laney, invite]
At first, Kika didn’t realize that anything had happened to her. She was entirely too focused on the task at hand and that was getting as much blood out of the shrieking female as she possibly could before moving on to other things. All she cared about was blood, as much as she could get and she didn’t care who it came from. She wasn’t the type to discriminate.
The shrieks and wails were starting to hurt her ears so she grabbed the set of slender shoulders and let her filthy, dirt caked nails pierce her victim’s flesh, warning her to shut up. It didn’t matter that they were out in the middle of nowhere. If she kept carrying on the way that she was attention would be drawn to them. She didn’t realize that she’d already been spotted.
Until pain exploded in her arm, Kika was blissfully unaware of anything but the warm, fresh blood sliding now her throat. But it was enough to catch her attention. Her head shot up and she looked around wildly, blood dripping off of her chin. Her eyes were crazed as she looked around trying to find out where that shot had come from. The mostly drained body slipped from her grip as her gaze zeroed in on a man, gun raised and trained on her heading in her direction. Instinct took over and she was off like a shot.
He wasn’t getting the chance to shoot her again.
It wasn’t going to happen.
The telepath’s feet barely touched the ground as she took off, attention focused on the man so intent on ending her. If she had her way, he was going to be the one that went down, not her. She hit him with all the force she had packed into her slender frame. Kika didn’t realize yet that she was ten times stronger than he was. The rapid sound of his pulse filled her ears and her need for blood rose to a frenzy once more as she tackled him to the ground fangs sinking into his neck.

Though not a miss, it was apparent that the first shot had not been a telling one, the banshee was up and charging straight at the buckskin clad hunter. Jedediah snapped off one more shot with the big Marlin, before letting it drop back against its sling as he drew the matched pair of Colt SAA's from their homes upon his hips. The tall hunter charged hard as the guns came up, smoke and fore belching from the nickle plated barrels as they centered on the sprinting demoness. Somehow the creature seemed to dodge every shot, inhuman speed twisting and turning as she neared, before slamming into Jedediah with the force of a freight train. The diminutive creature looked half his size, but as she sprang the last step and slammed into him, her force lifted him from the ground, taking him over on to his back. It was too close to him now to fire, as it wrapped its arms and legs about him. However the SAA's still left him with three pounds of steel and black walnut in each hand, and the determined hunter used both to smash at the creature that had mounted him in the woods. None of it seemed to make a difference though, and he felt his strength fading as the foul creature began to lower its blood bathed face towards his throat.

Re: Full Moon twins [kika,'laney, invite]
There was immense pain that pressed against, or into her shoulders as Delaney tried to get free from her assailant, which shut the woman up completely. While she had been used to pin pricks (how she would describe the feeling of a tattoo over any part of her body, this was different. Much different. It actually felt like this was not just superficial pain, but as if whatever was piercing her, was attempting to dig into her and maybe try and puncture her lungs. Which would it be? Death by suffocation, or death by bleeding out? Or even worse...what if she was maimed to death by the very things she was trying to protect?
Ironic, and yet not the way Delaney imagined dying, but she was positive she was going to die tonight. What kind of crazy *** karma was this? She was helping-she had been helping! Why do bad things happen to good people? Only this sort of thing wasn't just a 'bad' thing. This was something she wasn't walking away from.
Then a thought struck her in Delaney's unusual bout of silence. What if she pretended to be dead already? She was already quiet, so if she just closed her eyes...maybe, just MAYBE the both of them would go the **** away and leave her alone. It was worth a shot in her mind. And that's just what Delaney did. Her eyes rolled to the back of her head and then the lids closed over those rolled eyes and she stopped fighting. The woman even held her breath too and waited. What else could she do?
And it must have worked! The woman was off her and moving fast somewhere, judging by her steps that hit a leaf every now and again. Not wanting to ruin her 'cover,' Delaney kept her eyes pressed tightly together, until she realized dead people don't look like she probably looked right now and relaxed her body, starting from head to toe. First her face relaxed as she slowly exhaled and quietly inhaled once again to stay alive, while pretending to not be alive, then her shoulders dropped, followed by her hands that laid against the ground, while her legs slowly dropped outwards, so toes were pointing in opposite directions.
The funny and karmic thing about this entire situation was that while Delaney was pretending to be dead, she was actually dying. Her body was preparing for the final minutes of her life span, and relaxing. Giving up. It wasn't Delaney relaxing herself, it was that her body was tired and growing heavy. It was assisting her with her real death, while she pretended to be dying. A thought that would cross her mind in the final seconds of her life as Delaney attempted to pry an eye open to see if the coast was clear, but wasn't able to.
