Haha, I thought I was the only one to think this XD.

Though actually, in more modern comics, that would be the Wolverine school versus the Cyclops school.

But... if it's Charles X vs Frost... Is Pi going bald? And will Blake be in fetish attire? (JK guys :D don't kill me. really. :D)

Well...

Blake DOES have Vel hanging around...I'd imagine she'd be a bit of an Emma Frost style on occasion. Makes the students pay attention more I bet :P

But nah, I won't compete and neither will Blake. If people choose to go with the D'Artois run school then good on them, if they choose to go with the neutral and unaffiliated school then good on them. Either way, as long as fledglings are protected and taught well then neither I, nor Blake will have an issue.

If there were enough newbies (which unfortunately it seems there aren't) I think the idea of dueling vampiric schools would be awesome...so much that could be done around it but, alas, maybe when there are more newbies it's something that could be looked in to.

The d'Artois one will be affiliated with Lan and Pi just like Blake's will be affiliated with Blake. d'Artois isn't a faction. There are no hidden agendas. They'll be as neutral as the next guy. Their only agenda is to help the fledglings who have no other help. Same as Blake's, I assume. In that way you are right - they're working toward the same goal.

There are plenty of newbies around lately, actually. And I think these foundations will help to keep them around, if there's something they can immediately jump into. It'll all be great for the RP.

And, I think it would be awesome if they did build to such a level that they could pitch against each other, but I think it ought to be in a friendly way. Kind of like two sporting teams coming together on a field. To help train them rather than to inspire any kind of hatred for the other team.

I think we will do quite well. Not only is The Academy offering RP but we're also going to be working on teaching grid mechanics as well with some of the highest level players in the game helping out.

If I do say so myself, I think having the equal balance of both RP guidance and Grid guidance is what is going to set The Academy apart and make it shine brighter and longer than most other endeavors because not only can we cater to RPers but we can also cater to the gamers as well.

Like I said before, The Academy will be all inclusive, neutral and open to any and all that want to learn more about Path on an IC and/or OOC basis. No one will ever be turned away for any reason no matter what.

Sorry for that misunderstanding, I had this pointed out to me the other day and it got me kinda confused:
Faction - Canidae d`Artois

Today d’Artois stands also as a faction, a formalized embodiment of the bloodline; adjunct to the whole. Not all who are in the bloodline will gain immediate membership into the Faction (although, refusal of application is with extreme judiciousness) and not all in the Faction will be direct descendents of Pi d’Artois.

Given the tumultuous nature of Harper Rock the Faction serves the dual purpose of both protection and efficiency for the bloodline. Where skills, lineage members, resources and necessity are nurtured and protected.

You will not be granted membership into this faction merely by siring under one of our line. First you must prove yourself an active, contributing member of this family and have embraced the ethos of reciprocity that has come to define the nature of the lineage. That is not always in skill but also in words, deeds, time and effort. Only after this, will this last door open to you.

Becoming a vampire under a d’Artois is only the beginning.
Sorry if I misunderstood.

Well we had to make a faction to get the elevator.

I was told by David it just had to be something listed on the factions page off the grid and not an actual faction, per say.

Maybe he informed you differently, things always seem to be different in regards to the technicalities depending on whom you ask.
